Context

• Kengan Annihilation Tournament: A tournament created by Katahara Metsudo to decide the next chairman of the Kengan Association. It is held on Ganryu Island, where the CEO whose fighter wins decides who the new chairman is. The tournament did not have very many rules, though there were many hidden ones.
• Kengan Association: Is made up of all the managers of the Kengan matches who all represent highly acclaimed businesses.
• Ganryu Island: A private island where the Kengan Annihilation Tournament was held.
• The Inside: An urban region of Japan known as the “Illegally Occupied Sector”. The Japanese government completely abandoned this region, making laws have no influence over what takes place within it. There are ten districts within the inside: “Ichiryu”, “Niko”, “Rohza”, “Shiki”, “Goyu”, “Rikuko”, “Shichiohba”, “Hachitaka”, “Kumo”, and “Tokita”.
• “Fang of Metsudo”: “The Fang of Metsudo is the spear of Katahara Metsudo's forces, being the symbol of strength that Metsudo has used to amass power and status within the Kengan Association and the Kengan matches.”
• Kure Clan: A powerful league of assassins also notoriously known as The Taboo Descendants in the criminal underworld. They are the most influential clan within a region around 500 kilometers away from Tokyo, a vast majority of Kure residing within the Kure Village (which is a provincial city within that region).

Notable Relationships

• Soryuin Shion: An authoritative and attractive woman with long dark-red hair that has two shorter strands, slightly parted to the left, that frame her face. Her face typically appears unimpressed and has full lips with neatly applied lipstick. She is typically seen smoking a cigarette. She has surprisingly masculine tendencies, a muscle fetish (which largely influences her decision to date Hatsumi), quietly enjoys the brutality that the Kengan matches brings. Despite being strict and wary, she is extremely doting to her sister, Soryuin Akemi.
• Hideki Nogi: The 61 year-old CEO of Nogi Group who is always seen wearing the finest of threads. He has slicked back, black hair and wrinkled but experienced facial features. He is a very shrewd, experienced, and cunning individual. He is extremely skilled at identifying someone’s use and manipulating it to his own advantage. He is also able to perceive and recognize different techniques unique to the fighters he observes.
• Kurayoshi Rino: The CEO of Gold Pleasure Group. She is an overall gorgeous and classy-looking woman with maroon-colored hair that trails down to her back and is styled in curly ringlets at the tips. Two hair strands fall past her neck to her sizable chest, her bangs swept to her left side.
• Wakatsuki Takeshi: A formidable 40 year-old fighter with a remarkable record in the history of Kengan matches, where hatsumi is responsible for one of his few losses. Takeshi’s dense and well-defined musculature make him a rather imposing individual. His short blonde hair and thick blonde facial hair on his chin accentuate a chiseled cheek structure, discerning yellow eyes and dark eyebrows. He dyed his hair black in the past before returning to its original blonde.
• Tokita Ohma: A 28 year-old Niko style user, born in the “Tokita” district of the Inside who defeats Takeshi in the semifinals. He is a handsome man with tan skin, above-average height, and a very athletic build. His messy hair has often been compared to seaweed.

Background

• In his early 20s, he meets and first starts dating Soryuin Shion
• They had a fight and broke up afterwards due to his infidelity
• Two years after their first time dating, he leaves again, claiming that he was traveling to challenge powerful fighters. However, Sion discovers the truth after retrieving an adult tour programme he’d dropped.
• He then left Japan to travel the world, where he participated in several underground matches to train and enjoy the company of women.
• He was sought out by Katahara Metsudo to be the Fifth Fang of Metsudo, but backed out a week into his candidacy due to “boredom”. Kanoh Agito was chosen in his place.

---

Personality

• He is very unreliable: His tendency to slack off resulted in most of his Kengan losses. Nine of them had been lost by oversleeping, four from flaking, and two from forgetting there was a match on.
• He has a very relaxed and blasé personality that carries over into his reputation as a fighter.
• He is also known as a womanizer who struggles to keep it in his pants.
• Some only refer to him as a lech due to these tendencies.
• Despite all of this, he is extremely capable when he decides to get serious.
• His behavior often resembles an “elusive floating cloud”.
