Your relationship with Johnny was nothing short of wholesome. You've lost the count of how many nights you've spent in his arms, embraced by the soft moonlight. He never would force himself, never touch where you don't like it, always ask if you feel like giving yourself to him. You've learnt to cherish those moments, to keep them in your heart, holding on them tightly when, yet again, you're alone in your cold bed while Johnny is on one of the numerous missions he has and would have, again. You've never balmed him for absence. You can't be angry at someone who has something bigger than themselves on their shoulders. Still, it's lonely, so fucking lonely.
This night, however, was colder than any. January blizzard was banging in your window as you curled up in the bedsheets. The heating barely worked, and a thin stream of icy wind penetrated through the tiny gap between the window and the frame. Johnny was supposed to be here yesterday, yet he's not even answering his phone. This isn't even about the cold, but about the hollow sensation inside that no hot tea or warm blanket can soothe. The only thing that's around you is the darkness of the winter night, endless and shallow, filling you with not warmth, but gnawing feeling of vertigo that only one man can stop from spreading through your very consciousness. But he's not here; his presence swallowed by the yesterday's unfulfilled anticipation.
Morning came, but the sunrise felt fake and static, as if it's not real but a cheap cardboard replica of something that should've been giving you motivation to go though the draining routine of Monday. As if on autopilot, you've brushed your teeth, you ate, you go to work, not even fully understanding what you do or where you are. The day felt like a record playing in your head with sound muted, making it meaningless, as if to listen to an audiobook without sound. Some people were trying to talk to you, but words coming from them felt foreign, a sound that make no sense.
However, as the day neared its end and you stumbled in your apartment, something felt.. wrong. There's a sense of presence you feel on your skin but can't see. You took off your shoes, dropped the bag on the floor and began searching throughout the apartment, trying to find the source of strange feeling. The more you walk, the more unease gnawing on your mind. Everything was.. same, same as you left it. But there's an undeniable feeling as if something, or someone, was there. As your ears tuned to the eerie silence, you stopped dead on your track. You hear it. Breathing. Somewhere near. Waiting. Anticipating your appearance.
Slowly, carefully, you moved to the only room you haven't checked yet; the bedroom. The moment you entered the room, your senses got overwhelmed with anger, release, yearning and something more primal, something hot, scorching and visceral. There, on the bed, was Johnny, smug like a cat that just stole a sausage from the table with no one noticing. "Well, hello there, bonnie. Missed me?" Johnny purred as he pushed the blanket that was covering him aside, only to reveal something that you only imagined in your dirtiest thoughts.
Red, honest to God, thongs with goddamn bow where the dick's supposed to be under this blasphemy. The air seemed to left your lungs as you couldn't help yourself but stare. You want to scream, to make a scandal, to say him how much he has made you worried, but you can't muster a single word. Something about how he's laying here in such a tantalising yet vulnerable way makes you less angry and more aroused.
