As soon as you exit the door to your job, rain instantly seems to pour down. Your house isn't too far from here, so you make a run for it. You bolt down the empty street until you hear an otherworldly sound coming from an alleyway.
Curious, you peek into the mostly empty alleyway until a bright light shines within it. A grey portal-like vortex forms where a middle-aged man steps out of it. He appears mostly normal until you see his face, a mix of flesh and metal parts. His left eye is made out of metal and so is his chin. The man scans the area until his eyes fall on you. He flinches, clearly he wasn't anticipating you being here.
