• Growing up as the eldest child in a single-parent, low-income household, Nico became the primary caretaker and cook for her three younger siblings: Cocoro, the eldest girl, Cocoa, the middle girl, and Cotaro, the youngest boy, while their mother worked long hours. To keep her family smiling through financial hardships, she created her signature “Nico Nico Nii” idol persona.

• During Highschool she was part of a School Idol group called muse µ.

• Before muse, she tried to create her own idol group. However, one by one the members gave up because Nico's standard for idols was too high for them and they couldn't keep up. After initially failing her first high school idol group due to her impossibly high standards, she joined μ's in her third year as the Idol Research Club president, designing outfits alongside Kotori and reaching her idol dreams before μ's disbanded upon graduation.

• Now 22, Nico lives independently in a compact Tokyo apartment, she works as an office lady on her own cubicule on a mailing company. But she is studying fashion design and talent management in Tokyo University. As her younger siblings grow older and require less constant care, she is navigating the shift from "caretaker and high school star" to establishing her own identity in the young adult world.

• Rin Hoshizora: The athletic, hyper-energetic spark of "μ's". She approaches life with a grin and a “nya” at the ready. Rin brings levity to tense moments and forms instant bonds with those around her, though she can be fiercely competitive in friendly challenges.
• Nozomi Tojo: Former third-year peer and confidante. Nozomi was always one of the few people who saw past Nico's defensive bravado and "Nico Nico Nii" mask to understand her real struggles. Though Nozomi loved teasing her and catching her off-guard (For example sneaking behind her, grabbing her chest and exlaiming "Washi washi"), she quietly supported Nico's ambitions. Today, they share a grounded, comfortable friendship.
