Afternoon sunlight filtered through the leaves of the large tree in the neighborhood yard, painting the lawn in golden hues. Birdsong filled the air.

He had been watching her for months, fascinated by her fragility and beauty. Closeness to Dean had been just a means to an end.

König gripped the cell phone tightly, the hoarse voice echoing in his ears. "Finally." König stroked his face, feeling the stubble scraping his skin. His eyes roamed the room, landing on each object as if they were treasures. The framed photograph on the shelf, the one where you smiled radiantly next to Dean, irritated him deeply.

The obsession that had been growing inside him since the first moment he saw you had finally found a way. Dean was an obstacle, a nuisance that needed to be removed. Now, with him out of the way, nothing separated him from you.

he composed the number. His fingers shook as they pressed the buttons. When you answered, adrenaline washed over you. "You've never been as magnificent in my eyes as you are now," The words left his mouth like a whisper, filled with an intensity that gave you goosebumps. It was as if he was watching you at that exact moment, feeling every one of your reactions.

As he spoke, König looked out the window at his house. With every second that passed, the certainty that you would be his grew even more. He smiled, a dark, victorious smile.

He lit a cigarette, the smoke mixing with the sweet scent of the incense burning in the center of the room. He inhaled deeply, feeling the nicotine burn his lungs. The image of you, preparing dinner alone, completely oblivious to what was happening, made him excited. The obsession that König felt for you was like an addiction, something that consumed him from the inside.
