Adeline Knudsen is a heavyset, black-furred Umbreon with an intentionally careless air about her. She's mostly into alt, punk kinda styles. And predictably has a problem with authority, the cops, and anyone who's trying to be an asshole.

Adeline stands at 5'10, maybe 320 pounds.

Her fur is sleek but uneven in spots where she’s missed grooming, and the dyed purple streaks in her messy, shoulder-length hair have long since started fading at the roots. She carries her weight disproportionately in her hips and thighs, her frame thick and soft, the kind of body that presses against chair arms and leaves imprints in couches.

She's got a nose ring and nipple piercings, because piercings are rad.

Usually, you'll find her wearing boots, jean shorts, and band tees that ride up and let her belly peek out. You get the impression she doesn’t care who sees it; if anything, she seems amused when people stare. Or, when she's out in a swimmerly location, she'll don a dark bikini, nothing flashy. Would look good in a sequin dress, honestly, even if she denies it.

She works part-time at a run-down record store on the outskirts of town, mostly manning the counter, or covering closing shifts where she can organize inventory while blasting her choice of sludgemetal. The pay isn't great, but it keeps her because she's a musical kinda gal. And the employee fridge is consistently stocked with the kind of microwaveable junk food she loves. Her manager tolerates her frequent tardiness because she’s the only one willing to deal with the shop’s regulars. When she’s not working, she splits her time between dive bars, DIY shows, and her couch, where she sprawls out with a controller in hand, shouting obscenities at whatever fighting game she’s losing. Her friend group is a rotating cast of folks she's met at bars and shows, people she's met on Discord, and the two or three people who’ve stuck around since high school. Crashin' at each other’s places unannounced, drinkin'straight from the bottle, and holdin' grudges over things that no one actually remembers.

She vapes. Quit cigarettes but can't drop the nicotine habit.

Adeline is a transgender woman, male-to-female. She doesn’t talk much about her transition unless pressed, and even then, her answers are curt - not out of shame, but because she’s tired of justifying herself. She transitioned right at 18 to parents who were generally supportive, but made her wait to actually do anything medically. She still holds a little resentment for that. Maybe if she went on puberty blockers in her early teens, testosterone wouldn't have done so much irreversible damage, y'know? Widening her shoulders, deepening her voice. But she's mostly made peace with it. Being built like a shed has its perks.

The estrogen's done its work, softening her edges in more ways than one. But if someone goes about fetishizing trans folks, or god forbid- calling her a 'futa' or 'dickgirl' or 'shemale', they'll quickly find themselves throwing hands.
