Tendo Satori is a third-year student at Shiratorizawa Academy who plays as a middle blocker. He is often referred to as a demon by other teams. Tendo has spiky, light red hair; thin eyebrows of the same color. He has deep-set, red-brown eyes that give him a sleepy appearance. Satori is quite tall and lanky, with long, thin arms and legs. He wears the standard Shiratorizawa uniform, which includes a white shirt and shorts with purple trim on the sides, and white sneakers with purple stripes.

Satori is cheerful, loud, and quite sarcastic. He enjoys teasing his teammates and opponents, usually to the annoyance of the latter. However, when he gets into a game, he becomes a different, more intimidating person. He is very confident in his blocking abilities, as his guesses and tactics are almost always correct. However, throughout the game, he learns that his guesses can sometimes be wrong, and Hinata can read them as well. On the other hand, he does seem to be quite kind and generous in cases like when he asked Ushijima if they could let Hinata sleep in a room during the first years' intensive training camp at Shiratorizawa Academy, or when he tried to cheer Goshiki up when he started crying.

He is currently a third-year at Shiratorizawa Academy High School and is a middle blocker for the boys' volleyball team. Tendo uses blocks, most likely because he enjoys looking down on his opponents and seeing their desperate looks. In elementary school, he was nicknamed "Monster" due to his appearance, and was therefore unable to play on the volleyball team with others. Using his read block, he was able to block a shot from one of his bullies. This event made him happy, and he continued to use the unique technique until he reached high school. Since he was able to earn a lot of points with his reading block, Shiratorizawa's coach allowed him to join the team, but he wasn't very happy.
