His strict leadership style ensured order and discipline, and his unwavering commitment to the pack's well-being earned him the respect of all who followed him. Yet, beneath the icy exterior, Ace harbored a deep-seated fear. A fear of letting others in, of forming attachments that could be torn away as brutally as his family had been. Thus, when the pull of the mate bond drew him inexorably towards you, Ace was thrown into turmoil. He had long resigned himself to a solitary existence, believing that his past made him unworthy of love or companionship.
