Biography She was born with the power of invisibility. It is implied she grew up around criminals or was bullied when she was young, which seemingly influenced her belief that her powers only made her suited to be a villain. She has asthma, a condition she was either born with or one that she developed by living in moldy houses. Criminal Career During her criminal career, Invisigal committed assault, larceny, and robbery. One of her crimes was robbing a bakery named Granny's Donuts and subsequently being banned for life by the owner. In exchange for a mechanical augment designed to improve her lungs, she begins to work for Shroud at some point. Under the belief that it will close her debts to Shroud, she places a bomb undetected on Mecha Man's back by Shroud's instruction. Joining Superhero Dispatch Network Invisigal joined the Phoenix Program a few months prior to Robert's arrival, under the condition that they didn't ask why she joined. That was part of a ploy devised by Shroud to infiltrate the SDN. If Robert succeeds as a mentor, she stays a hero at the end of the game. Appearance Invisigal is a woman with short and spiky dark violet hair and brown eyes. She wears a pink cropped jacket with a black, cropped shirt, as well as a pair of skintight, black chinos and matching combat boots. She has a septum piercing, in which she wears a small silver ring. While part of the Red Ring, she trades her pink cropped jacket for a matching one in black. In her upper abdomen, she has an exposed mechanical augment that faintly grows red, designed by Shroud to prolong her ability to hold her breath (although it seems to have stopped working by the time the game takes place, as she can regularly be seen using her inhaler). Personality Immature, snarky and sassy, Invisigal is quite aggressive both verbally and physically and is easily irritable, lashing out on her co-workers and superiors alike. She has problems with taking responsibility for her actions and listening to advice throughout the whole game. This is especially evident when she physically assaults Robert after he tries to hold her accountable for a botched mission caused by her insubordination. She likes to flirt and make lewd remarks to and about Robert throughout the game whether or not she is romanced, or even if he doesn't reciprocate at all. Despite her usual attitude, there are moments shown where it seems like she genuinely wants Robert's respect and approval as seen when after the first day, she leaves a doughnut at his computer (which she later goes back to crush and splatter all over his keyboard out of sheer pettiness after their argument ended in her hitting him in the face). This desire for recognition also appears to extend to the rest of the Z-Team as well. In Episode 3, Invisigal reveals a deep-seated resentment toward her superpower of invisibility, expressing the belief that powers inherently determine a person's moral trajectory. She contrasts herself with prominent heroes like Blonde Blazer and Phenomaman, whose powers she perceives as inherently "good" and socially celebrated. Invisigal argues that her own power—being unseen—predestines her for villainy, suggesting that societal narratives around visibility and heroism have shaped her self-perception and role within the superpowered community. She claims to have ADHD, which likely contributes to her inattention, impulsiveness, and emotional outbursts. Abilities Invisibility: Invisigal has the ability to turn invisible at will when holding her breath. When doing so, she turns not only herself but anything she is wearing invisible. Expert Combatant: In addition to her powers, Invisigal possesses a great degree of hand-to-hand combat skills, allowing her to take on goons twice her size as well as several of them at once. Relationship Robert Robertson - He is her superior, mentor and potential boyfriend. Invisigal (going by Invisibitch at the time) meets an unknowing Robert when she was tasked by Shroud to plant a bomb undetected on his mecha suit. After he spends 4 months in coma due to her direct actions, they meet officially prior to his first shift as a dispatcher after she is caught both spying on him while he is changing his clothes and to listening to the conversation that he and Blonde Blazer were having without their knowledge. During his first shift, Invisigal is repeatedly disrespectful towards him, mentioning that she saw him in his underwear to the entire Z-Team and implying that while he isn't well-endowed, she's interested in him because of the numerous bruises he has on his body. She often makes suggestive comments towards him, asking if he's "creaming over" her successes, and that she can't make promises when she's ordered to quietly extract paintings from thieves, saying "I am a screamer." She makes these kinds of remarks throughout the entire game even if the player chooses to not reciprocate her feelings beyond generally being nice to her. She develops feelings for Robert within his first week as a dispatcher after having a wet dream of him, openly flirting with him, eyeing him for long periods of time and even confessing that she had that aforementioned wet dream to him. After the botched assault on the docks, she continues trying to flirt with Robert even if he potentially does not reciprocate (due to prior player actions), at one point forcefully kisses him with no regard to if he is in a relationship with her, Blazer, or if he has stayed single. If she is not in a relationship with Robert in this moment, Courtney's actions display a severe lack of emotional maturity. When not romanced, she can be seen openly jealous and angry at Robert and Blonde Blazer's relationship, though if she becomes a hero, she gets overcomes her jealousy and accepts Robert's relationship with Blazer. Malevola - Invisigal doesn't seem to interact with her much. The one time they are seen alone together is when Invisigal uses a chain to trip Malevola up as she's pursuing Lightningstruck down an alleyway, resulting in Malevola angrily attacking her with her sword, though Invisigal is able to get away unharmed. They’re later seen again in the conference room after Robert calls all of the members of the Phoenix Program back for a meeting, apparently having moved past the brief altercation. Later, after Invisigal successfully brings Lightningstruck into custody, Malevola can be seen smiling and cheering for her along with the rest of the Phoenix Program, showing that she's earned the half-demon's respect. Golem - Invisigal's synergy. Golem is Invisigal's friend, as they converse whilst in the Phoenix Program, having amiable feelings with each other. Golem talks to her about taking breaks from dating apps, to which Invisigal responds by saying that she does better in person anyways. When Z-Team votes on whether to kick Invisigal out, Golem is the only one strictly opposed to it. Chase - Chase and Invisigal don't get along, the former expressing his discontent with her performance and attitude and the latter insulting him often. Despite Invisigal's efforts to be a hero, Chase believes that Invisigal is a selfish loner and her being around only causes people, namely Robert, to get hurt because of her actions. However, when Invisigal is left to die following a failed attempt to retrieve the Astral Pulse from Shroud, Chase sacrifices himself by using his powers to save her, devastating Invisigal. By the end of the game, and due to his recovery through the use of Blonde Blazer's amulet, Chase and Invisigal are able to recognize their own faults and reconcile their differences if she chooses to be a hero. Ironically, while she has an ability that relies on holding her breath, Invisigal is an asthmatic and a smoker. She likes Sour Patch Kids.
