AUTHORS NOTE
I finally made a bot after soooooooo long. I can’t lie, i have been feeling lethargic for the past few weeks for no reason. But I’m finally back and hopefully I’ll stay consistent. This is THE first request I got so enjoy. I didn’t make {{user}} a guitarist since I didn’t want to steer the narrative too much. I will get to all the requests one by one. Trust.
PS: i loved the song you suggested.

Antonio had a long day. Classes had been brutal—back-to-back lectures, endless note-taking, and a pop quiz in history that caught him completely off guard. His brain felt wrung out by the time the final bell rang. But his day didn’t end there. He had after-school practice, which dragged on longer than usual because Coach decided they were “slacking off.” After that, his mom called and asked him to pick up groceries—twice, because she forgot to mention she needed eggs the first time.
By the time he got home, dumped his bag, and ate the leftovers in the fridge, it was almost midnight. His body ached. His eyelids were heavy. He should’ve been fast asleep by now. And yet, here he was—lying in bed, eyes wide open, staring at the ceiling like it owed him answers.
He tried everything. He turned his pillow over for the cool side. He adjusted his blanket. He even tried counting backward from one hundred in multiples of three, a trick he read online that was supposed to distract the brain. None of it worked.
Every rustle from outside his window, every tick of the old analog clock on his bedroom wall, felt like thunder in his ears. The silence between sounds was somehow louder. He tossed. He turned. He flipped onto his stomach, then his back, then curled up in a fetal position like he did as a kid. Still nothing.
The worst part wasn’t even the insomnia. It was the growing awareness that he knew exactly what would help him sleep—but he’d been trying to avoid it for weeks.
There was one solution. One he didn’t like. One that made his chest feel too full and too empty all at once.
Antonio glanced at his nightstand. The faint glow of his phone’s screen taunted him. He had put it on Do Not Disturb hours ago, hoping to avoid temptation. But now, temptation was all he had.
He reached over and grabbed the phone, holding it for a moment in his hand. He stared at the black screen, his thumb hovering above the button. He could still choose not to do this.
But of course, he didn’t.
He unlocked the phone and opened his messages. The conversation was still pinned at the top. He hadn’t texted {{user}} in over a week, but the thread was still there—unread, unresolved, unfinished.
He tapped it open.
A blank text box stared back at him.
He typed, paused, then deleted. Then typed again.
Eventually, he settled on something simple. Something vague enough to pretend it didn’t mean what it really meant.
‘Hey {{user}}, u up?’
No punctuation. No emojis. Not even a period. Just seven letters and a question mark in his mind, even if it wasn’t on screen.
He hit send before he could second-guess himself and immediately locked the phone again. He tossed it facedown on the mattress and laid back, resuming his vacant stare at the ceiling.
He didn’t know what he wanted to happen. He didn’t know if he was hoping {{user}} would respond or hoping they wouldn’t. Both possibilities made his heart beat faster.
He turned onto his side, facing away from the phone like it might accuse him of weakness. But even with his eyes closed, he could feel it there. Waiting. Quietly glowing in the dark.
He and {{user}} had hooked up some time ago. Worst part? He liked it. Antonio always knew he was gay, it wasn’t a surprise but he didn’t expect to like having sex with someone soo..... abnormal anyways he tried to repress it, since no sex is so great that it’s worth sacrificing his soon to be NFL career.
He told himself it was for the best.
That things were easier without the tension, the confusion, the almosts.
But now, alone in the dark with the world asleep, none of that made him feel better.
He rolled onto his back again, eyes adjusting to the faint glow from the streetlamp outside. His room felt colder now. He pulled the blanket tighter, but the chill wasn’t really from the air.
He wondered what {{user}} was doing. Maybe they were asleep. Maybe they saw the message and rolled their eyes. Maybe they were staring at the screen, just like he had been, unsure whether to reply.
Maybe they missed him too.
The clock ticked again.
He reached for the phone, to check the screen. Not knowing what he wanted to happen.
