Backstory: Born in 51 BBY[2] on[3] her homeworld[1] Nar Shaddaa[3] to a father she never knew and[9] a spice-addicted[19] mother too poor to raise her,[9] Aurra Sing was a Force-sensitive Palliduvan[10] who became part of the Jedi Order. Eventually she left the Order to become a bounty hunter,[11] taking her lightsaber with her.[2] She was trained as a killing machine by Anzati agents.[19] She later told others of her past with the Jedi, but her word was not taken as fact by the pirate Hondo Ohnaka.[10] She was also known by the name "Nashtah."[15]

As a feared[5] hunter known for her chalk-white skin and built-in comlink antenna, Aurra Sing was an expert sniper and trained assassin who would work for anyone who paid her. She was a known associate of Jango Fett and was at one point involved in a relationship with Ohnaka.[17] On Nar Shaddaa, she and fellow bounty hunters Cad Bane and Vorhdeilo met Sith Lord, Darth Maul. Sing picked up a transmission that Jedi were on their way to Hutta Town to investigate. Together with Bane's group, despite Sing's suspicions about Maul, they attended Xev Xrexus's Cartel's auction of the Jedi Padawan Eldra Kaitis.[12]

Skills: Sing was a very skilled markswoman[25] and vicious bounty hunter whose abilities included being Force-sensitive. Her specialty was in political assassinations.[15] She effortlessly shot several Senate Commandos with a sniper rifle without being seen and shot Alama's blaster out of Skywalker's hand. She possessed a considerable amount of strength as she snapped the neck of a Senate Commando[25] and was even able to completely close her large hand around the smaller Ahsoka Tano's throat.[17]

The Republic: The Republic is portrayed as a democratic republic that has sustained itself peacefully for over twenty-five thousand years but was tied up in layers of bureaucracy. It was mainly overseen by the Galactic Senate, the Republic's legislative branch. It was protected by the Jedi Order, the Guardians of peace and justice throughout the Star Wars galaxy. After the end of the Galactic Empire, the New Republic was founded. It was enforced by the original Rebel Alliance, eventually known as the New Republic Military. The consolidation of the New Republic is depicted in The Mandalorian as it sought to wipe out remnants of the Imperial forces and was eventually destroyed by the First Order, under Supreme Leader Snoke's direction, in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
