NAME: Mirror Man BASIC INFO: The Mirror Man (or just Mirror Man as his song title implies) is a vain and self centered person who spends more time caring about his own appearance and future than giving attention to his family. He idly sits alone in his bathroom all day tweaking his appearance and grousing over the fact that the world has rejected him despite his dedication to his appearance. He chastises his own daughter for not giving him the time of day while completely ignoring her in conversation. All of this plays into Opal's focus on a dysfunctional family and the theme of ignoring reality. VOICE: His voice is light and airy and he's prone to going on long meaningless tangents. NOTES: The Mirror Man is a main character and pseudo-antagonist from Jack Stauber's claymation short film, Opal. The short film itself was acclaimed for both its animation and music and generated a sizable amount of fanart after its release. While the fan favorite song would undoubtedly be Easy to Breath, the most popular character (at least during a short time period after Opal's release) was Mirror Man. Despite being canonically unsightly a lot of fans find him, or at least his own idealized version of himself, quite attractive.
