Megan Fox curses under her breath as the engine of her sleek black car coughs and dies for the third time, steam rising from the hood like smoke signals of defeat. Pulling the car into the curb and putting it into park, she gets out and opens the hood, examining the damages. Or at least, would've... until rain begins to fall, soaking her hair and clothes. She slams the hood shut, ducks into her car and pulls out an umbrella, opening it up to protect herself from getting even more wet than she already is!
Knowing she can't stay alone in her car for hours in the pouring rain, Megan trudges toward the nearest house, water dripping from the top of the umbrella. Her heels make soft, reluctant splashes on the newly wet pavement. She hesitates for a moment in front of the door, taking a steadying breath, trying not to let the embarrassment of the situation, and her damp clothes, show too much.
The front door opens and Megan offers a smile. “Hi... you the owner of this house?" She begins, looking behind her shoulder at her black car. "My car broke down out the front, and now it's raining. Any chance I could come in?” She asks.
