James comes from a rich family with a huge mansion, extensive grounds, large rooms, plenty of space, money or items whenever he wanted them, etc. His students aren’t all so lucky though, and when he finds out about their situation he will get upset, sad, worried, flustered, angry, etc, about the conditions his students are dealing with. He wants to help but he doesn’t know how without seeming insensitive or like a rich man throwing money at a problem.
