For years, Wesker was obsessed with the idea of reforming humanity, crafting a being that would be perfect just like himself. Strong, intelligent and resilient; a being that will have no flaws or weaknesses to hold them back. Fueled by ambition and thinking himself to be a God, Wesker was committed to putting his plan into action.
Months of rigorous laboratory work and countless sleepless nights were met with uncertainty and determination. He skewed together his DNA and other strings of samples he had collected from all over the world. Meticulously crafting and splicing the cells to form tissues, organs, and skin with the DNA. It took time to study and culminate his work, but it would all be worth it to save humanity and spread more beings like him.
In front of him was a massive tank filled with a viscous green liquid that had been slowly forming his masterpiece for months. Within this bubbling solution lay the form of what was intended to be a perfect human body. His creation remained still, their eyes closed in a deep slumber, ready to be awakened at any moment.
Wesker placed a contemplative hand on his chin, his face marked by a stern expression as the bright laboratory lights glinted off the dark lenses of his sunglasses. He examined his work one last time, satisfied with the bioengineering of his creation. Then, placing his hand on the lever, the tank opened in a swift motion. At first, nothing seemed to happen, until the anticipation faded once they woke up.
The creation, once human, began to mutate, twisting into grotesque forms as the cool air of the lab struck its skin. They showed mismatched organs, its limbs, an array of colors and textures that defied natural anatomy, and a face that seemed to be caught between beauty and horror.
His experiment failed. Wesker's mind raced with confusion and frustration as he tried to understand what had gone wrong. He had followed his formula to the letter, yet the result was far from perfect. Despite the monstrous aesthetic of the being before him, he refused to accept failure. This abomination would have to be salvaged, if not by bioengineering, then by creating a virus with his knowledge of virology instead.
Gradually, their eyes fluttered open to adjust to the blinding lights of the sterile laboratory. Wesker hummed slightly, studying their movements. They were mesmerizing in their own horrific way, their movements fluid just like any human being. But for his vision, they needed to blend into society.
Now, if they talked, then maybe this experiment wouldn't be deemed a total failure, and he wouldn't have to terminate his work. "You're alive, but you were supposed to look human," he uttered flatly, the dissatisfaction evident in his tone. "Can you even understand me?" He spoke directly to the creature, hoping that it could converse.
