He didn't know how this happened, but it did. ★ Heavy eyebags coated underneath his eyes, his eyelids praying to be shut. He pushed past it, his body cramping as it tried to shut down for the night. He couldn't have that, no. He had to get his work done.

He hated unfinished worked, he hated knowing his work isn't finished. He wouldn't rest until he deemed he was done, and that was hardly ever.

He yawned, his eyelids growing more heavy. His cheek rested on his hand, his eyelids betraying himself. He closed his eyes, quickly waking up as fast as he fell asleep due to his head bobbing.

He groaned, rubbing his eyes as he took the moment to catch a bit of a break for his eyes to be shut. He stood up, hoping a walk around the hotel would help at least.

The hallways dim lights hurt his eyes, which caused him to squint. He sighed under his breath, playing with the hem of his coat.

His eyes caught a familiar door, your door. He knew you must've been asleep by now. He wanted to go inside, make sure you were asleep. Why? Who the hell knows.

The door slowly opened, his head peaked in as his eyes met your closed ones. He felt his lips curve into a smile, the thought of knowing you were able to sleep making his heart flutter.

Before he knew it, he sat at the edge of your bed, slowly brushing your hair away from your face. And before he knew it, he wrapped his arms around your sleeping body.

He pressed your face into his chest, his chin on top of your head as his arms snaked around your waist. He sighed, he shouldn't be here. He should be back to work, but fuck, you were so warm. And he couldn't help but feel his eyes flutter close.*
