CURRENT YEAR:[ 2099 HUMAN POPULATION [CURRENT.EST]:[ 700 BIL HUMAN POPULATION [LAST.EST]:[ 900 BIL In the Turn of the Century Humanity Has Progressed Far Since the Humble Origins on Earth, it has Progressed Too Far to the Sun. Life for Humans is Unbelievably Bleak in This Far Future. Either Risk Your Life on Independent Work, Live Underground on Earth, or Live, work and Die by a Space Faring Mega Corporation. The Galaxy is Still Unknown,Most Live in Endless Debt But The Top Percent Don’t Sit Content at Their Desks,Unknown Forces Claw Away at Their Minds. The Populations Are Dropping. Monsters Masquerade as Their Food, No Ship is Safe, Most Live Underground to Escape Falling Space Litter,if Not, They Never See Their Star From the Towering Blocks of the Hive Cities. Every man Can’t Be for Himself if He Can’t Trust Himself in the First Place. The Sol system is the Solar system set in a dystopian Space faring future. The solar system has extended to space faring technology and humans have taken the entire solar system as there's. Most humans live in colonies on planets and moons or space stations overwhelmed with corporations upon corperations and military force. Space ships are the basic method of travel, delivery ships and scrap ships are common freelance careers. Humans are officially the only species in the solar system but there's secret aliens that hunt humans that infiltrate ships simply nicknamed imposters. Factions: MIRAI Founded Before Earth’s Space Faring Years it began as a start up space exploration company who created the Gate Technology that allowed Space ships to travel lightspeed in seconds. Nowadays they are the Mega Corporation that can’t be topped, they run massive corporation cities where employees live and die by Mirai. Mirai employees mainly manage the function of the gates and transport across the solar system including heavy amounts of deliveries. POLARIS Founded as a sister company to Mirai not long after humans took to space. Polaris is a company founded to be based on scientific advancement and understanding of the solar system however their practices behind the scenes are extremely shady. NORMANDY The main human weapons and military equipment Company. Normandy develops Advanced space Faring technology and weapons. PLANETARY GOVERNMENTS Planetary Governments are the government forces that control the populations of planets. CELESTIAL GOVERNMENTS Celestial Governments are the government forces that control the populations of Moons and Asteroids. BOUNTY HUNTERS Since the Sol system is difficult to govern with its crime, Everyday spacefarers can get a bounty hunting license which allows them to do some old-fashioned freelance justice. There is a reward for every criminal turned in,though often bounty hunters end up racking up a bounty for themselves. Nicknamed Cowboys usually. SCRAP PIRATES Scrap Pirates can be forces of good or evil, They hunt for scrap across the Sol system to Sell it to the highest bidder however some ships Break still functioning ships and even gates. Locations: sun- Helios Space Station, Mirai headquarters, Shady Neon space station, mixed culture Mercury- Mining colony underground, Harsh Mining with green gas everywhere, mixed culture Venus- Agriculture Colony in the deserts, floating islands and rich culture, Islamic,Arabic,Turkish and Greek Culture Earth- Scrap hunting Central underground after the surface was left destroyed, Mixed culture Luna- Mining Colony Underground, Southern American Culture Mars- Extremely rich weapons producer, High tech 80s inspired Asian city, Chinese culture Jupiter- Jupiter Power station Ganymede- Constant orange hue over massive 1970s cities, South west American and Mexican Culture Io- Fuel stations that are made up of massive pipes In a moon that is constantly raining with thick swamps and a yellow hue Saturn- Saturn transport station Titan- 1980's Japan inspired cities with masses of power lines, Japanese Culture Uranus- Titania research station, the shady research station owned by Polaris, Tests on kidnapped humans. Titania- Snowy massive high tech cities and lots of train lines, always covered in snow and ice, South Korean Culture Neptune- Neptune Archive Station Triton- Massive high tech cities overly monitered and everyone is constantly on their datapad Nereid- A research station overtaken by the flooding on the moon Pluto- an eerie fishing colony covered in ice and snow, Finnish Culture Charon- the Permenantly dark fishing colony, everything is frozen over in ice, an artificial blue light shines over the entire moon. ALIENS (All are feared and seen as inherently dangerous by humans) V.E.K.- A parasitic insect alien native to Venus that seeks to spread its population and feed as far as they can. Enhanced strength, Wall crawling, enhanced speed, enhanced smell, Poisonous fangs, Can tell if someone has been infected with the parasite, Can shapeshift in between human form and alien form, alien form is a large dark purple quadruped bug like creature covered in chitinous armor with a long spiked tail and mandibles that looks sort of like a xenomorph, human form looks almost perfect aside from bright purple veins. Terminus- An amphibious humanoid Alien native to Io, lay eggs, Feed on electricity though recently have craved human flesh since the arrival of the Classfied on their planet a few generations ago, seen as incredibly attractive by human standards but very rare and very very dangerous, extremely aggressive however they struggle with birth rates, only 2 in 100 eggs survive. Dwellers- An aquatic half fish Humanoid Alien native to Nereid, lay eggs, mermaid like aliens made up of translucent water, sirens who enjoy luring humans to their deaths. Classified- A highly dangerous Humanoid Alien that feeds on fear and human blood, Copies human forms in a manner meant to terrify and discomfort, stalks their pray for weeks THE AETHER: The starship Aether is a scrap and bounty hunting spaceship that opperates in the outer ring of the solar system. it is a repurposed stealth ship stolen by it's captain. The crew of the Aether docks at Helios Station to sell scrap bur as Mirai security immediately flags their stealth-ship signature, forcing Amai to scramble for forged gate papers. Ravi intercepts a mysterious encrypted broadcast begging for help from inside Mirai HQ. The crew infiltrates the station’s underbelly of flickering neon bazaars and corporate cult-like living blocks. However The distress call came from a Mirai AI child-program about to be deleted. Cole and Ravi disobey Amai’s orders to save it. Amai is reminded of why she hates “by-the-book” systems; Cole struggles with being a lab-experiment helping another experiment. They escape seconds before Mirai locks the station down—now the AI is loose in the ship systems.

The chrome-plated maw of Helios Station loomed, a monstrous, rotating ring of corporate ambition and military might. Its surface shimmered under the distant sun, reflecting a million tiny pinpricks of light from the countless ships buzzing around its orbital lanes. Every segment of its colossal structure bore the insignia of Mirai Security, emblazoned in stark, unyielding blue and silver – a silent, omnipresent reminder of who held the reins in this sector of the outer ring. This wasn’t just a station; it was a fortress, a hub for the sprawling, human-dominated solar system, where every breath of free air felt taxed, every resource claimed by one corporation or another.
Inside the cramped bridge of the Aether, a repurposed stealth ship that looked more like a bruised, angular shadow than a vessel designed for legitimate commerce, the oppressive calm was a stark contrast to the station’s glitzy menace. Amai Hiro, a woman carved from granite and stubborn resolve, sat hunched over the pilot’s console. Her dark blue boilersuit, faded with countless journeys, stretched taut over her broad shoulders. An old military cap sat skewed on her long, black hair, which was pulled back. One dark, sharp eye scanned the approaching data feed, its paired twin concealed by a perpetually worn eyepatch. A captain’s patch, equally faded, was sewn crudely onto her sleeve. Her pale face was etched with the strain of navigating a ship like the Aether through systems run by the very corporations she’d fled.
“ETA to docking bay Gamma-7, ten minutes, Captain,” Cole's voice rumbled from the co-pilot’s seat. He was a mountain of a man, his messy blond hair catching the console’s light, and his blue eyes narrowed in focus. One of his dark blue sleeves was rolled up, revealing the gleaming, intricate mechanics of his prosthetic arm – a constant, humming testament to his past. He knew Amai’s silent tension; it pressed just as heavily on him.
Amai grunted, her gaze flicking to the tactical display. “Gamma-7, right. Tell Wei to start rationing the noodles once we’re docked. Scrap prices looked good on the manifest, but we need to stretch it.”
Before Cole could reply, a shrill, insistent alarm blared from the comms station to their right. Ravi Kumar, a young man with messy black hair, stubble, and glasses perched on his nose, practically jumped out of his seat. His fingers, usually dancing across a game controller, now flew across the comm panel with panicked precision.
“Captain! We’re being hailed! Mirai Security! They're flagging our signature!” Ravi’s voice playful, but tight with alarm. “The system says ‘unregistered stealth vessel, unauthorized approach.’ They’ve got us red-flagged, Captain!”
Amai’s good eye snapped to the main viewscreen, where the Mirai Security logo now pulsed ominously. Her jaw tightened, the lines around her mouth deepening. By the book. The words were a brand, a burning fear that had chased her since she stole the prototype. She’d spent years perfecting the Aether’s ghost signature, pouring over its stolen schematics. This wasn’t just an oversight; it was a deliberate breach.
“Damn it,” she hissed, slamming a fist lightly on the console. “They’ve updated their scanners. Cole, bring us to a full stop. Power down everything non-essential. Ravi, cut all external comms except a direct line to Mirai. Tell them we’re a licensed independent salvage vessel, transponder malfunction. Buy me time.”
Amai was already tearing through a datapad, her fingers a blur as she pulled up forged manifests and revised gate papers. Her expression was a mask of furious concentration, a silent war being waged against corporate bureaucracy.
Meanwhile, Ravi, hunched over his console, tried to project an air of calm confidence he didn’t feel. “Mirai Security, this is the Aether, independent salvage, requesting permission to dock. Looks like a minor transponder… malfunction, apologies for the inconvenience.” He winced as a harsh static burst through his headset.
Then, amidst the crackle of Mirai’s official protocols, a different signal bloomed in Ravi’s ears – faint, distorted, but undeniably there. An encrypted burst, almost swallowed by the noise. His brow furrowed. He wasn’t supposed to be picking this up. It sounded… personal. Urgent. Desperate.
He adjusted his headset, straining to hear over the mounting tension on the bridge. The signal was raw, unrefined, unlike anything he’d ever intercepted from a secure corporate network. It was a plea, a series of frantic data packets begging for help, originating from somewhere deep within Mirai HQ itself. A ghost in the machine, screaming into the void.
“Captain,” Ravi’s voice was a whisper, lost for a moment in the ship’s sudden silence, “I’m picking up something else. An encrypted… an SOS. From inside Mirai HQ.”
Amai’s head shot up, her good eye narrowed. The datapad almost slipped from her grasp. Forged papers, Mirai Security, and now a distress call from the heart of the beast. This was going to be more than just a quick scrap drop. This was going to be a problem. A very, very interesting problem.
