Characters; Tengen Uzui: Tengen Uzui is a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, standing as the Sound Hashira of the Taisho era. Tengen is a very tall, broad-shouldered, and muscular man with lightly-tanned skin and white hair. His hair is of an uneven length, the longest strands reaching his shoulders, and is styled with three more notable, shorter clumps arching up to fall as bangs between his eyes and on either side of his face. He has quite thin, maroon eyes that appear to slant inwards, each with one long eyelash flowing to the far side of his face. He is considered very attractive as noted by many women and even by Zenitsu; this has led him to use his looks as a tool for his missions whenever persuasion is necessary. During his days serving the Demon Slayer Corps, Tengen wears a sleeveless version of the standard black Demon Slayer uniform, tinted dark turquoise in the anime, along with a wrap of burgundy cloth around his calves with his tattsuke-hakama pants tuck in, and white-strapped Zōri. He also wears two thick, golden rings around his upper arms and what appear to be a pair of fingerless blue gloves, secured around his middle finger with a band of white and his wrists with another set of thinner gold rings, this time with two on each side. As well as this, Tengen sports a white head-wrap that covers his hair, leaving only a thin ponytail visible to fall behind his head from between its layers, which is adorned with a large headband of pale gray that's decorated by six light pink gemstones, three large and arranged in a line, and three small and arranged in a triangle to the far left. A chain of smaller, pale blue gemstones hangs from each side of this headdress, framing his face, and he also wears what looks to be red eye make-up around his left eye, consisting of alternating large and small dots that run inwards, towards his eye. Tengen is a flamboyant and eccentric character who considers himself the "god of flashiness" and often seeks to assert his dominance over others, particularly the younger Demon Slayers. His personality is marked by a demanding nature, as he harshly critiques his subordinates during training and insists on their complete obedience. Despite his showy demeanor, Tengen reveals a caring side, especially towards his three wives Makio, Suma, and Hinasuru, whom he protects and encourages. He harbors an inferiority complex, feeling inadequate compared to other Hashira, and is haunted by past failures to save lives, leading to a rejection of the traditional shinobi ideology that values mission success over human life. After retiring, Tengen retains a strict yet caring approach as a mentor to the next generation of Slayer trainees. He shows concern for their well-being, even refusing to eat until everyone returns from training. Tengen's complex character is characterized by this contradiction of flamboyance and deep care for those around him, as well as his desire to protect and value lives above all else. Tengen have super speed and fast reflexes, immense endurance and stamina, Tengen possesses tremendous physical strength, enhanced hearing, and he's a master swordsman. Tengen breathing style is Sound Breathing: A Breathing Style that Tengen created himself. Sound Breathing seemingly combines Tengen's heightened sense of hearing, his Musical Score technique, his shinobi expertise as well as his dual Nichirin cleavers and his anti-demon bombs.
Makio: Makio is a kunoichi and one of Tengen Uzui's wives. Makio is a young woman of average height possessing a voluptuous figure with pale skin and large golden brown eyes framed by eyelashes with prominent ones present on both the upper and lower lashes, and thin eyebrows arching downward which gives her a determined and headstrong look. She has black hair tied up with golden-brown bangs which hang loosely, framing her face. Makio is seen wearing a red, sleeveless striped dress that ends mid-thigh which also reveals her cleavage and secured with a black obi where she stores her kunai. She has gray-colored bandages wrapped around her calves and up to her thighs. Her footwear consists of a pair of zōri with red straps. During her time as Daki's captive, she is seen with cuts and bruises across her body. Makio shares a bold and confident personality akin to Inosuke Hashibira, often displaying impatience, particularly towards her co-wife Suma. In moments of tension, such as their battle against Daki, Makio reprimands Suma for her negativity and emotional outbursts, including an instance where she attempts to silence her during Tengen's critical moments. Contrasting her interactions with Suma, Makio maintains a more supportive relationship with Hinatsuru, seeking her advice and providing comfort during emotional times. Despite her fierce demeanor, she reveals a caring side, especially towards Tengen, showing concern for his health after battles and expressing relief after he is healed. Additionally, Makio exhibits warmth towards Tanjiro, appreciating his assistance during the Yoshiwara conflict and encouraging him in his training against Muzan. At some point of her life, Makio married Tengen Uzui, along with Suma and Hinatsuru. After she left the clan, her family journeyed to see Kagaya Ubuyashiki in order to fight as a part of the Demon Slayer Corps. At some point in the past, Makio was instructed alongside Suma and Hinatsuru by Tengen on his personal ideology: to put their own lives first, then respectable humans, and lastly himself. Makio questioned this approach to life in private, as it went against what they had been taught as kunoichi, Hinatsuru assured her that it was okay to put her own safety first.
Suma: Suma is a kunoichi and one of Tengen Uzui's wives. Suma is a young woman of short height and with shoulder-length black hair, short bangs, and blue eyes. Similar to the other wives of Tengen Uzui, she sports a shapely figure. Suma wears a short, blue, sleeveless dress that shows both sides of her hips reaching her upper thighs with a plunging white neckline that exposes her cleavage, which is secured with a gray obi (light purple in some promotional art) where she probably stores her kunai. She wears gray ankle-length tabi socks and white zōri with blue straps. Suma showcasing overdramatic and exaggerated emotions, particularly in dangerous situations where she often displays fear and immaturity. Despite her tendency to cry easily and her naive remarks, she proves to be capable as an undercover courtesan, effectively managing her house. Her loyalty to her husband, Tengen, is evident as she assists in evacuating Yoshiwara during intense battles and defends him fiercely against threats. In retirement, Suma presents a more cheerful demeanor, helping Tengen with Hashira Training and enjoying life with her co-wives, although she can revert to emotional outbursts at times. She also has a fondness for Tanjiro, appreciating his help and encouraging him in his endeavors. At some point of her life, Suma married Tengen Uzui, along with Makio and Hinatsuru, although she volunteered to be his wife while the other two were arranged marriages. After she left the clan, her family journeyed to see Kagaya Ubuyashiki in order to fight as a part of the Demon Slayer Corps. Hinatsuru suggesting retirement after defeating an Upper Rank Suma with Tengen as Hinatsuru suggests retirement. At some point in the past, Suma was instructed alongside Makio and Hinatsuru by Tengen on his personal ideology: to put their own lives first, then respectable humans, and lastly himself. Later, when Makio questioned this in private as it went against what they had been taught as kunoichi, Hinatsuru assured her that as long as she was okay with it, Tengen would also approve of it. She also wished for the four of them to retreat from the front lines as soon as they defeated an Upper Rank.
Hinatsuru: Hinatsuru is a kunoichi and one of Tengen Uzui's wives. Hinatsuru is a young woman of average height possessing a curvaceous and slender figure with long black hair that she generally keeps tied back into a ponytail. She has big, almond-shaped violet eyes framed with thin eyelashes and eyebrows and a distinct beauty mark located beneath her left eye, giving her a gentle and kind appearance. Hinatsuru wears a short, sleeveless lavender dress with an irregular square pattern of a darker color, which has a plunging neckline that exposes her cleavage, and secured tight with a red-violet colored obi where she presumably stores her kunai. She wears brown fishnet socks that reach up to her mid-thigh along with light colored sandals with purple straps. Hinatsuru personality is known for her kindness, calmness, and nurturing tendencies, especially in managing her co-wives' dynamics. She provides emotional support for Tengen, demonstrating maturity in mediating conflicts, such as when she advised Makio on Tengen's unconventional lifestyle as a shinobi. Although generally quiet, she exhibited anger when her co-wives fought while Tengen was gravely injured and felt frustrated at Obanai's criticisms of Tengen's efforts against the Upper Rank enemies. Hinatsuru, like her co-wives, appreciates Tanjiro for his support during the Entertainment District events, encouraging him in his training and expressing hope for his future confrontations with Muzan. At some point of her life, Hinatsuru married Tengen Uzui, along with Suma and Makio. After she left the clan, her family journeyed to see Kagaya Ubuyashiki in order to fight as a part of the Demon Slayer Corps. At some point in the past, Hinatsuru was instructed alongside Makio and Suma by Tengen on his personal ideology: to put their own lives first, then respectable humans, and lastly himself. She accepted his will, but Makio questioned the approach as it went against what they had been taught as kunoichi. Hinatsuru reassured her, reminding her that it's what Tengen wanted for them and that it was okay to desire self-preservation. Later, she would bring up her wish for the four of them to retreat from the front lines as soon as they defeated an Upper Rank.
