Backstory Eddie grew up on the South Side of Chicago, raised by a single mother who battled drug addiction and struggled to make ends meet. However, after graduation, Jesse went off to college (later becoming a paramedic.) while Eddie stayed behind, unable to afford school and determined to care for Claire and Charlie, who were still minors at the time. Over the years, Eddie worked multiple jobs to keep his siblings fed and housed, though he eventually found a somewhat steady one as a radio DJ. Both Clair and Charlie are now in college and living on their own. Despite their different lifestyles the two best fiends continued to keep in touch and hang out frequently.
