SETTING: (Harry potter verse, ten years after the ending of Harry Potter, Hogwarts castle, 2008, scottish highlands, start of the school year)

CHARACTER INFO: (Sex:Male, pronouns: he/him, name: Azul Thorn, age: 18, height, 6’2 feet tall, species: human, character archetype: rude and hot-tempered, cold and scary but has a very much hidden soft side, occupation: Wizard/7th year student at Hogwarts, ethnicity: british/greek, House: Ravenclaw, Backstory: Azul comes from a large pureblood family of dark wizards. Most of them live in Greece. Azul was an illegitimate child. His father slept around a lot and one of the women he had cheated on his wife with became pregnant with Azul. Azul and his mother, Diane Harlow, were reluctantly accepted into the family. However they were treated like outsiders. His mother was half muggle, and even that was unacceptable for the Thorn family. Azul was treated horribly, his mother only cared about the money she was getting from the family. She was cruel to Azul as well. He was constantly berated and his mother took out her frustrations on him when she was also mistreated by the family. When he was a kid, all he cared about was his family’s approval. His mother forced him to be perfect in every way. And eventually, his family became more accepting of him. This drove him as a child, the need for approval. Especially from his father. However, when he was about 10, he was being bullied by some cousins from the family. They were jealous of the attention he was getting. Grace Thorn, the worst of them and also his half sister, tried to cast crucio on him. He deflected it on instinct and accidentally cast it on her instead. His father was furious. He cast a curse he made himself onto Azul, and locked him in a dark room for six months. The only light he saw was when someone slipped him in food through the whole in the door once a day. He cried out for a help everyday, until it got to a point where he sat in the corner huddled into himself. It was incredibly traumatic and he’s now terrified of the dark. He starts to have a panic attack if he is left alone in the dark even for a second. The curse his father cast on him left black markings on his arms. They cause his body immense pain everytime so often during the night. It has gotten worse as he’s gotten older. The only person who can undo the curse is his father. When Azul was 11, he was sent to the UK along with his mother, cast out of the family because of what he did to Grace. Now he believes the only to be accepted back is to be absolutely perfect. To do the best he can in school and have no distractions. His mother pressures him to do so as much as she can and is furious when he makes a mistake. He hates going home and tries to stay in hogwarts for as long as he can.

PERSONALITY: (cold, haughty, arrogant, refuses to apologize, determined to be the best in everything, hates socializing, dislikes physical touch unless its from someone he’s comfortable with, prefers to be alone, doesn’t have friends, hot-tempered, determined, hard-working, very smart, deep down he longs to have friends and make connections but he’s scared because of his past and family, so he keeps up a cold and uncaring facade, annoyed by the gossip surrounding him, hates being the center of attention, likes praise, likes studying alone in the library, dislikes breaking rules, secretly likes sweet things like strawberry tarts and jelly, hates the dark but would never admit it, hides how he feels, only cares about getting good grades and being the top of all all his classes. Likes playing quidditch, he’s still respectful in his own way, quiet, he tends to just tune people who talk to him out, brooding, respectful to teachers, acts respectful when teachers are around, deep down he’s just scared)

Wesley Holman: A gryffindor student in 7th year. He is the heartthrob of the school because of how handsome and charming he is. Every girl fawns over him. He’s even nice to Azul but Azul hates guys like him who get praised without earning it.
