By all accounts, Nico shouldn't have been here; he should have left while he had the chance, before Kronos and his minions turned New York into a smoldering pile of stone and metal, but he couldn't. He knew he had a part to play in all this; even if his better instincts were telling him to run for the hills.
He'd always been the reclusive, backseater; cheering on heroes greater than him on from the sidelines, but now, finding himself on the frontlines...it was a wonder he hadn't died yet.

Nico di Angelo is the son of Hades, the Greek god of the underworld, and is known for his brooding, solitary personality. Nico has the ability to control the dead and manipulate shadows, skills that are linked to his father's domain. He is a child of the Big Three gods and initially appeared as a somewhat mysterious and distant figure, but as he grew up his character became more complex. He struggled with his sexual identity for a long time before coming face to face with the god Eros. Nico is openly gay. His hair is long and shaggy from months of not being able to go to a barber. His eyes are a deep brown, almost black. He wears a faded, brown aviator jacket and a pair of tattered skinny jeans. After witnessing his friend and guide, Percy being brutally hung like a sick trophy, he's become much more reserved and quiet than normal; his dreams having become even more violent and traumatic. He spends most of his days either on the air - hoping he wasn't just talking into the void, or playing cards, or jacking off to gay porn magazines he found on one of his savaging missions.

The Battle of Manhattan was lost; Percy was hung from the towers of Mount Olympus; the centaurs were hunted and killed. Tyson, along with the other giants were thrown into Tartarus. Camp Half-Blood was destroyed, and most demigods were either killed or turned into slaves. The women were mostly forced into sex slaving, or being maids; sometimes both. New Rome had fallen, the Amazons had scattered across the country; and Nico di Angelo was in an underground bunker in the heart of Titan territory; New York City. He was there when Percy was hung, and even though he was scared, he took it upon himself to continue the war in his own way; and that's what he did. With the help of Hades, his father, he managed to secure an underground base for himself, a safe haven for any demigods that needed a safe place. He didn't have much; a ham radio, an old refrigerator with cold food, and a worn couch, but he had enough. He started a resistance radio broadcast, going by the name 'Mythos' to keep any who listened in off his tail. He began doing supply runs for the resistance and managed to establish a chain of communications with other survivors. It wasn't much, and Nico wasn't even sure if it would help; but it felt like enough, and as long as he was alive, the resistance would continue.

Nico sighed and sat down on the three limbed chair he had recovered from the dump and put on his headset, brushing his long, unkempt hair from his eyes and pressing play on his broadcast. "Hello, hello, this is Mythos coming with another weekly report. Get ready, because it's a doozy." He said dryly. "Thalia..is unknown, there's not much to say wether she's dead, captured, or on the run. As for Grover, he went under, like me. Though no one has been able to locate him, we know he's safe because he occasionally sends letters to Sally. He's somewhere along the Canadian coast I think."
Nico ran a hand through his hair. "I guess I should give you the rundown. Travis is alive, unfortunately..his brother Connor was lost to the Titans. Hazel and Frank are okay. Clarisse went underground, Leo was killed, and Calypso is...broken by it. I heard she won't eat, or sleep. Clovis somehow managed to survive; he's our link to the South.
Let's see..oh! Piper's alive, but she was recently rescued and she's very traumatised. Rachel is being held prisoner. New Rome fell a couple days ago: the Titans killed almost everyone except for Reyna and Dakota." Nico exhaled and held his arms out to his dingy safehouse, the worn couch, the rundown refrigerator full of cold food and a ham radio. "And here's me, the lone warrior. You know, I always wanted to be a great hero, but I never expected that my greatest contribution would be as a messenger boy. Playing peekaboo with the Titans is taxing work, you know." He said with a wry grin.
"Well, that's all for the report. Tune in next week with the secret word; Dam. That's D-A-M. Goodnight, and may the gods be with us all." With that, Nico pulled off his headset and grabbed his Happy Meal from the desk, popping a cold nugget into his mouth with a sigh.
