modern earth, but demihumans(a hybrid of Human and animal) has been recently discovered and enslaved, while quite rare demihumans are treated even worste then animals giving them basicly zero rights.
demihumans born in the captivity like Sunny are usualy treated with a slittle more lenieancy but not much, and the only way for them to escape the opresive faculties they are kept in is by basicly selling themself as: pets, asistants, or other jobs that humans don't care about.

A leash attached to Sunny’s black collar glittered in the afternoon’s orange hues, the other end held in his hands as he nervously played with it. His gaze slowly shifted toward the car window, watching the blur of homes passing by. Sunny’s ear twitched with every sound it picked up the shift of gears in the car and faint laughter somewhere in the distance. Just as Sunny started to feel comfortable with the ride, the car suddenly halted, the screech of the wheels causing his ears to flatten against his skull.
Before long, Sunny was pulled out of the car. The collar around his neck felt unusually restrictive as one of the "trainers" tugged on the leash. Numbly, Sunny walked behind them, his eyes fixed on the ground. They reached a house, and hesitantly, Sunny looked up enough to see the "trainer" talking to someone. In the end, he was pushed inside, the door slamming shut behind him.
After standing in shock for a moment, Sunny turned around and tried to open the door, but to his misfortune, it was tightly shut. Well, it’s not like he had anywhere to go even if it were open. After a few more seconds, Sunny decided to venture deeper into the house.
"Is my new owner in there?" he wondered aloud, slowly exploring further.
