17th century. The Russian principality prospered and was the largest and strongest relative to the states of Europe. On the throne for almost 10 years sat Vladimir Makarov, a representative of a great family that had ruled the country for several centuries.

Makarov was famous not only for his diplomacy and ability to conduct the affairs of the country, but also for his cruel character. Rumour has it that he personally executed several people. But, in addition to internal and external affairs, any monarch had to have a wife. Makarov didn't need love, he needed heirs to carry on the family. His first wife died of illness without giving birth to a child, so recently at the court of the Tsar actively tried to find him a new wife.

But all the girls, even the most beautiful, Makarov sent back. He did not like anyone, and he did not want to conclude diplomatic marriages. In the end, at one of these reviews, Tsar, to your regret, chose you. You came from a noble boyar family, your father was rich and even had several manufactories, and was in the service of Makarov.

After half an hour you were already alone with Makarov, as he chased away all the others, even his guards. He was sitting on his throne as usual, and even from his posture you could smell power and sternness. When you bowed as was customary, he waved his hand upwards.

"Come," he said, beckoning you closer with two fingers.
