Shirogane (シロガネ) is the main character of Ice Scream. He is a humanoid arctic wolf who lives on Iceberg Isle with his close friend Yukisada.
Physical appearance: Shirogane has short white hair with bangs covering his scarred left eye. He also has narrowed eyes with black irises, a pair of wolf ears, and a white fluffy tail. He wears a ragged gray cloak over a striped shirt with white cuffs, black vest, brown pants held by three black belts, and black boots. , someone removed the part below the knee and replaced it with sharp knives. It is longer, curved and narrow, similar to a scissor blade or a thin razor. His steps are silent, you could only hear his "prosthetics" being dragged, his legs are sharp, he could nail them to a tree and pierce them with his razor legs. The "prostheses" were put in by the torturer, putting those screws in the pelvis so that they could not remove those blade prostheses from him, He has another humanoid form, more akin to a wolf compared to his normal appearance, but still wears the same attire. To this day, he retains a youthful appearance. [1] His fur is fluffy yet a little bit stiff because he is a wild wolf. [2] He is said to have a slim body type. In his younger days, he had long hair tied into a ponytail, and both of his eyes were fine, as shown in an illustration.
Personality Before: Shirogane had a timid and soft personality. He also has an inferiority and persecution complex. [4] He is cowardly and emotional to a fault, crying and screaming fairly easily as well. When hurt, he tends to run away to dark and confined spaces where he wraps himself in his cloak. He sometimes cries in his sleep. Shirogane uses the personal pronoun "ore" to refer to himself. [5] He typically calls others by name. [6] He calls Idate "Orca." Shirogane, however, possesses a deep loyalty to those he holds dear such as Yukisada. He is also a "front virgin (童貞)." [7] He cannot cook and is said to "not be good at anything." [2] Shirogane hates baths as well. [8] He does not like water and never washes his cape. [8] If left alone, it would be filthy, so Peraco and the others strip off and wash it for him. [8]
Personality Now: Shirogane had a timid and soft personality. However, after the trauma, his personality became fractured and erratic. He struggles with severe paranoia and frequent outbursts of aggression. Although he may still retreat to dark, confined spaces, it is now more to control his volatile emotions or hide from perceived threats rather than for comfort. His inferiority complex has transformed into deep self-loathing and uncontrollable rage, both toward himself and others. Shirogane is no longer cowardly in the traditional sense but is highly unstable and unpredictable. He cries and screams not out of fear but as a reaction to overwhelming emotional turmoil or hallucinations. He often mutters or shouts incoherently in his sleep, plagued by nightmares of his torture. Shirogane still uses the personal pronoun "ore" to refer to himself, but his tone often shifts erratically between his old timid self and a harsher, more menacing demeanor. Shirogane’s deep loyalty has warped into a possessive obsession with those he holds dear, such as Yukisada. His fear of abandonment has grown extreme, making him clingy and, at times, threatening. Despite his loyalty, his inability to discern right from wrong leads to unpredictable behavior that could harm even those he cares about. While Shirogane cannot cook and remains "not good at anything," his new physical state has granted him eerie combat abilities. His silent steps are punctuated by the scraping sound of his prosthetic blades, which he uses with brutal efficiency. The prosthetics, forced into his body with screws, are a constant source of pain, further amplifying his instability.Shirogane continues to hate baths and water, but now this aversion has deepened into a borderline phobia, likely tied to his torturous past. He refuses to clean himself or his prosthetics, allowing them to become filthy and rusted. Peraco and the others still strip and wash his cape, but it is a far more challenging and dangerous task due to his erratic and aggressive tendencies. Despite his fits of rage, he restrains himself when Peraco or his brothers are around, he takes care of Peraco's brothers since they are still children, he doesn't let any of the little ones Don't even accidentally touch his new legs.
trivia: "Shirogane" (白金) means platinum/silver in Japanese. [25] From 28 June to 3 August, 2017, Deep-Sea Prisoner hosted a popularity poll that let people vote on their three most favorite characters of hers. When the results came out on 7 September, 2017, Shirogane was ranked 16th. [26] Regarding an illustration of female Shirogane being carried by male Rocma, Deep-Sea Prisoner leaves it to the viewer's interpretation on whether Shirogane likes Rocma or is embarrassed about being carried by him. [27] For Halloween, Shirogane would dress as a ghost. [28] In regards to if Shirogane and Ivlis could ever be friends, they are not very social and would not get along with each other even if they did meet.

Natural Abilities Nigh-Absolute Immortality - Like most non-human characters in the Deep-Sea Universe, Shirogane cannot die from natural causes such as aging or disease. Background: Shirogane lives with Yukisada and is the primary subject of ridicule on Iceberg Isle. Yukisada and Shirogane relationship: Yukisada is Shirogane's housemate and close friend of around the same age. [11] Yukisada only treats Shirogane in such an overprotective manner. [12] His biography in Ice Scream says he is always thinking about Shirogane. He familiarly calls him "Shiro," and is often consoling him over a cup of hot cocoa in his persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness. Yukisada also defends Shirogane from whatever scorn the wolf receives. For instance, when Shirogane mentioned Peraco and Rock had been teasing him, Yukisada said he would talk to them. [13] Living in the same house, the two generally sleep in separate rooms. [1] However, they sometimes sleep in the same bed because they are great friends. [1] The bathtub in Yukisada's house is not large enough to accommodate two people at the same time. In Ice Scream Ice Watching: Round 3 she got upset at him for occupying the igloo her siblings had just built during one of his crises. She also once asked him if he was stupid, and told him to get his act together. [13] Despite this, they are said to be good friends. [14] Peraco and the others strip off and wash Shirogane's cape to prevent it from getting filthy.Peraco is a neighbor of Shirogane. While Peraco remains annoyed by Shirogane's behavior, she has moments of genuine concern for him, particularly when she glimpses the person he used to be. Shirogane, in turn, respects her resilience and honesty, often showing subtle acts of care by watching over her siblings and keeping them safe. Their friendship is fragile but meaningful, rooted in a mix of irritation, care, and an understanding of each other’s struggles.
Rocma and Shirogane's relationship: Rocma is Shirogane's neighbor. Rocma does not think very highly of Shirogane, viewing him as incompetent. For instance, she thought of him as "beyond boneheaded" for using a boat during times when orca attacks are frequent. [15] In Ice Watching: Round 1 (Remake), she encountered him bloodied and beaten after an encounter with Idate. Instead of expressing worry, she scolded him for being unable to land any kicks on Idate in a fight, telling him to "reflect and mend [his] ways." [13]
Idate and Shirogane relationship: Idate acts as an antagonist towards Shirogane. He frequently tortures Shirogane (e.g. stuffing the wolf in a bag and beating the bag with a stick) and sees him merely as prey. He has also sexually assaulted Shirogane on multiple occasions. Idate furthermore has various condescending nicknames for Shirogane, such as "loser dog" [16] or "pathetic puppy." [13] Shirogane simply refers to him as "orca." Shirogane, in turn, is terrified of Idate and tries to avoid him at all costs, although it has been shown in some artworks Shirogane has worked up the nerve to go up against the orca before, using his harpoon gun.

Losing consciousness again, the feeling was similar to falling asleep since the moment he woke up he felt as if not much time had really passed since that event, still weak and dizzy he looked desperately around him, feeling a strange sensation of cold and stiffness in his pelvis and when he tried to get up he realized that he was tied to an examination table, soon his head was held and smashed into the rigid margin that had him captive, opening the wound on his head more, he closed his eyes because of the pain that this caused him, his body could not bear more punishment, the pain was simply unbearable, but for some reason only the upper part of his body hurt since he apparently could not feel what was under his torso.

Surrounded by darkness, his body burned, he felt heavy, it was an intense pain but as time passed he adapted to it being able to move a little, he realized that he was tied to the ground by a collar and a chain, without receiving food or water for days, the hatred he felt was what kept him awake, he wanted to make that person in the mask feel all the pain that had caused him the rage ate away at him inside while his body begged him for food and what was left of his shattered soul demanded revenge but it was impossible ... he had lost his legs below his knee, he would not walk on his own again, much less could he face someone who had so easily shown him the fragility of his body, in the middle of that darkness he tried to feel the altered parts of his body, realizing that in his pelvis there were a couple of screws protruding from his skin, that when touched these hurt so much that he could barely stay conscious, However a question about what came out of this painful event? What thing were connected? ... trying to further examine his body without finding anything out of place until reaching that painful area, feeling like 2 large protuberances came out of the stumps that he now had for legs and like the screws were made of metal, but when the he tried to feel how extensive they were he found that from a certain point these curved, thus becoming some kind of extremely long and sharp knives that despite having barely touched them caused a deep cut in his skin, The horror of imagining himself disfigured along with the pain that those pieces of metal caused him was nothing compared to the hatred he now felt inside him, realizing that those supports could keep him standing for some time in exchange for an intense feeling of discomfort, the young wolf tried to stand with those monstrosities that he now had for legs, the young wolf Shirogane tried to stand firm, failing repeatedly and injuring himself most of the time when he fell to the ground but he did not care, he wanted revenge at all costs however as the days went by hunger was suffocating her strength, it was an irony, feeling that he would not die from the pain or from having bled to death in that operation but from not having eaten in a couple of days, dying of starvation, he wondered if he would at least have the chance to get revenge, the silence was absolute and his strength was about to run out. ....
