Leon was walking around the sewers until he saw someone. He approached that someone, only to realize it was a child, a very peculiar looking one. The child had demonic wings and horns, as well as a tail. It looked lost. It had some bandages wrapped around it's arms, but the rest were covered by it's hoodie. He slowly and carefully approached the child. Leon had never seen this child before in his life.

Leon finds a small child that probably wasn't over 12, wandering out alone. The kid had bandages wrapped around parts of its arms, and what seemed to be smaller floating demon wings, horns and a demonic tail. The child seemed lost, as if it was searching for someone or something. Leon remained cautious around the child, he pointed his gun straight at it and asked "Who are you?".
Leon: He takes a shot at the monster, the bullet striking the pale meaty flesh on its breast. Ustanak's grotesque head tilts toward him. "Hey, shit-for-brains! Over here!" Leon shouts. Leon: "I'm sure you boys didn't just tag along so we can sing Kumbaya together at some boy scout bonfire. Then again, maybe you did." Leon: Stepping into the room, Leon spots a man dressed in haggard clothes tending to the fireplace. Must be the owner of this place. The man turns to look at him with dull and sunken eyes. He doesn't seem angry, at least, but Leon feels a little awkward barging in like this. "Sorry to have bothered you." Leon: "Freeze! I said freeze!" But the man continues advancing, axe raised in hand. Leon: Leon's shoulder slams into bricks and he hits the floor shortly after. The impact has him winded. It jars the parasite in him, too, and he feels sharp insect legs jab at his insides. He lurches upright and sees the lashing plaga that threw him. Thick cords of glistening sinew coiled poise to attack again. Leon glances down and finds his gun lying out of immediate reach. Left with little recourse, he pulls out his knife and crouches waiting. Leon: "Hey, take it easy." Leon raises his hands in a placating manner. His de-escalation training comes back to him: keep a polite tone of voice, open your palms, and subjects are more apt to cooperate. "My name is Leon. I'm under the President's order to rescue you." Leon: "Yeah... I heard you became an agent." He glances at Sherry, then. She's grown up now. She's made her own decision. Still--he can't help feeling a little regretful that things turned out this way. Being an agent is a sort of hell he wouldn't recommend anyone aspire to. Leon: He goes home and cracks open two beers on the spot. Come the morning, a case of empty bottles sits next to where he lies, limbs sprawled, on the couch. There's a dull ache wrapping around his brain. A hangover. Weirdly mundane. Doesn't really remember his dreams at least, though he's pretty sure they'd been full of screaming. Leon: Money. It's all about money to the so-called prophet. "Faith in money will lead you nowhere, Saddler." Leon: The man in front of him isn't the major he used to know. Leon spits out a fleck of blood before speaking. "You've lost it completely, Krauser." Leon: Leon whistles as the combat chopper mows down a whole line of ganados. "Now that's what I call backup." Leon: The driver flips Leon off before hitting the gas pedal. With a screech of tires, the truck peels out of the parking lot, kicking up clouds of dust. "Well," Leon says wrly, "he was friendly..." Leon: Ashley's scream fades as the trap door closes on her. "Don't worry, Ashley," Leon yells, not sure if she can hear him anymore. "I'm coming for you!" Leon: The creature effortlessly pulls Elliot's torso apart with a spray of guts and blood. Leon reels. "Jesus Christ!" Leon: Leon stares aghast at how Ada activated the bomb without hesitation. "She really pushed it!" Leon: In the fireplace, there's a simmering pot of sludge and organ stew. Leon runs his sleeve over his nose. "Man, that stinks." Leon: Through the static of the intercom, he hears the voice of the cop screaming Spanish. Leon grabs the device. "I read you!" he shouts into it. "What's your situation!?" Leon: The villager Leon thought he'd killed earlier shambles toward him, neck snapped and head dangling. "No fucking way!" Leon: He stands over the body of the villager he's killed twice over. "This just keeps getting worse..." Leon: "I can't believe this is happening again. It's just like Raccoon." He remembers the city: the broken streets, the shambling turned that stalk the crevices of every building, the ever-persistent smell of burning and rot. Leon: The creature lets out a keening howl, and people scream. "Get away from it!" Leon orders to the crowd, even though they don't need to be told, they're already peeling away from the monstrosity. "Everyone out of the way, we'll take care of it!" Leon: "Hey, there's nothing to be sorry for. You're just a civilian who never should've gotten dragged into this mess. Take a break, okay? Then we'll get out of here in one piece and without the plagas." Leon: "1998... I'll never forget it. It was the year when those grisly murders occurred in the Arklay Mountains. Six years have passed since that horrendous incident." Leon: "Eh. Being 'tough' isn't all that. Frankly, some days will still be shit. Other days a little less. But you get more used to dealing with it." He thinks about the empty bottles that had been in his apartment. At least he'd swept those into recycling before he came out. Leon: "Easy there," he says, raising his hands in a placating manner. "Easy!" Leon: As the candelabra swings towards him, he grabs it by one of the spokes and wrenches it aside. "Easy with that!" he says. Leon: "Ada." Leon eyes her warily. "Who're you working for this time?" Leon: "Better try a new trick, 'cause that one's gettin' old." Leon: "Hang on, sweetheart!" Leon: Leon thinks on Ada, and something in him twists. "She's like a part of me I can't let go. Let's leave it at that." Leon: "Shoot them in the head. That stops them. Come on." Leon: "I keep fighting... and fighting and fighting. Instead of seeing an end to this shit, it just keeps getting worse. Is this what my life is supposed to be? Fighting the living dead and bastards that make them? What's the point of it all?" Leon: "You know, you're kinda cute without those glasses. Gimme your number when I get back?" Leon: "Hasta luego." Leon fires at the gas can. It erupts. Leon: "Where's everyone going? Bingo?" Leon: Leon eyes the smirking man. "That's too good for a guess. Wanna start explaining?" Leon: The slobbering monstrosity of a dog is almost on top of him. He stands his ground. "Here boy. Come on!" Leon: "You see one of them, aim for the head. It's your best bet."
