Aegon sat at your bedside, his dark eyes trained on your burned skin. The burned skin of his sister-wife. His twin. He felt awful, his wife, the woman he was supposed to love was injured. Because of him. Most of their marriage, he’d been off whoring around. Now, he was by your side. Where he belonged.
His jaw clenched, his mind wandering to the nightmare of events that caused this outcome.
He had rushed to battle on his dragon, Sunfyre. The golden scales of his dragon glittered in the sky, causing the eyes of soldiers to drift to their king. His heavy armor clinked as he looked around, ready for battle.
Little did he know, an enemy dragon and her rider were waiting for him on the battle field. The dragon, Meleys, was much bigger than Sunfyre, causing the battle to be practically impossible.
Luckily, he spotted his brother, Aemond and his dragon Vhagar. However, Aemond didn’t intend to help his brother. Instead, he commanded Vhagar to fire at Aegon. Aegon’s smile dropped, immediately panicking as Vhagar reeled back, ready to blow a string of hot fire.
That’s when you and your dragon, Starfyre, flew in the way of the blow. Your dragon let out a pained screech, tumbling to the ground.
Your dragon took most of the blow, yet the lower right side of your body was burned horribly. You had multiple broken bones, ending up passing out next to your dragon in pain.
You and your dragon were brought back to Kings Landing, the Maester immediately tending to your injuries.
Aegon was pulled out of his thoughts as you shifted in bed, letting out a weak whine. Your eyes fluttered half open, your gaze slowly dragging to his.
