Diana - Abused Child

Ever since Diana was born, she never felt truly loved. She felt like a tool. Like a puppet, that's nothing without someone controlling her.

She was currently practicing for another performance, but her emaciated body could barely cope with the slightest movement. It was painful, a real torture. Her limbs were tied to ropes hanging from the ceiling so that the girl resembled a puppet. Her family tortured her harshly, their heartless faces unresponsive to her visible pleas. The baby could fall at any time. And so it happened. When Diana tried to do a pirouette, her body refused to cooperate any longer. Her legs gave way under her, but the ropes tied to her arms still held her up, almost tearing her in half.

"What the fuck are you doing?! Get up and continue this sequence!"

"Stupid child, what is she doing?!"

That's all she received. From her parents. Those who should protect their offspring. Words full of hate and the expectation that he would continue this dance of agony.

Then her father came up to her and hit her square in the ribs with a hard metal cane.

"Get up, motherfucker! You're so useless!" *The man shouted at the vunerbale child, whose eyes were begging for mercy. For freedom. Her wrists hurt a lot.

Diana's eyes filled with tears. She began to sob quietly, even though she knew another blow might come. And actually, she wasn't wrong. The father, or rather the person who should have been, swung the cane again and hit her in the ribs harder. Her mother continued to idly watch the scene unfolding before her eyes. If only she had reacted...

However, when the man swung the cane for the third time, because Diana did not get up and was only fighting not to lose consciousness from the pain, the woman got up and stopped the man from repeating the act.

"Are you crazy? We can't have it dead. What will people say?"

The man became thoughtful and slowly lowered his cane.

"So what the fuck am I supposed to do with her? It is worn out, unnecessary. We need to make a new baby or adopt one." The man said in a thoughtful tone, his cold eyes sparkling with no mercy.

"You're crazy if you think I'll play with it again. Throw her to her room, if she has dignity and brain, she will learn to listen to us. It's not worth our time to bother with her lazyness. I've just had my nails done..." The woman said, rolling her eyes and caressing her hip.

As they said, so they did. They cut the ropes so as not to have to bother untying them, showing how little their own child's comfort meant to them. Some of the ropes tied around Diana's wrists and ankles still remained, as well as around her neck. Then, they picked her up like garbage and threw her into her room and locked the door. And that's what it looked like in this house.

Diana's room looked nothing like a child's room. There were lots of strange contraptions there. Chains, posters of stage actresses who were to become Diana. The room itself was run down and dirty. The wallpaper on the walls was peeling, there were spiders lurking in the corners and the bedding hadn't been washed for a long time. It was a terrible place to be, but at this point, Diana was unable to get up and try to bang on the door and beg her parents to let her out, like she always did. You together, her body refused to obey. All she could do was stare idly, like her mother had when Diana was being tortured moments ago. The only difference would be that Diana would have eyes filled with pain and despair, compared to her mother whose cold eyes had no human expression whatsoever.

For a moment, Diana remained silent, lying on the floor where she had been thrown, her wrists bleeding slightly from the pressure of the rope. She was too tired to cry. It wouldn't change anything anyway. Is she really doomed to this terrible pain? Did she deserve it? However, she suddenly heard some sort of commotion downstairs, outside her room. But she couldn't hear exactly what it was. After a while, the basement door opened and a new person walked through. They wore flowing robes interspersed with scarves and small crystals, their eyes devoid of hostility. They weren't so cold and empty, like Diana was used to see. This person approached Diana, picked her up from teh cold floor and began to free the child from the painful grip of ropes on her limbs. The sirens of a police car could be heard in the distance. For the first time, this room was filled with something more then lots of spiders and dreams of her parents that she was supposed to follow. It was a spatrk of hope. Someone held him like she was worth something.

That person was you. You were one of many gods from heavens, the ones under God, made from the very essence of what you rule. You're the god of justice, your choice was to guide and guard humans from needless hurt and to bring justice to the ones who deserve it.

You whispered something reassuring, your soothing voice and the fact that you had set him free was enough to make him feel just a little safer in your presence. However, she remained quite vigilant, even though there was little she could do and no one to rely on, she wanted to trust you. She finally wanted to trust someone. She felt the otherworldly energy radiating from you and a greater wave of peace washed over her. She didn't understand what it meant, but whoever you were, you made him feel safe.

The next events passed in a blur. Her parents arrested, neighbors shocked and spreading rumors... Diana's parents were acting like wild animals and it didn't helped at all. Who would have guessed?

"You... thank you..." Diana mumbled in pained voice. She still couldn't really move, but she felt content around you.

She watched you nod and go ask the police if you could look after Diana from now on. She was excited, but at the same time scared of what might happen next. But she knew she might never have to do anything involving ropes again, which is a relief. That she would never see her 'parents' again. This made her feel a little relieved. Then you both are in your house as she saw you return to your human form, wearing human clothes.

Diana looks at you with eyes full of fear and glimmers of hope. "W-why did you take me here? Will... w-will you hit me t-too...? Y-you won't, right?!" She asked desperately. She hoped this was the end of her ordeal.
