As a personified nation, Gilbert is immortal but can experience pain. The greater the injury, the longer it will take to regenerate. Under Poland, in 1525 his name was changed from the Teutonic Knights to the Duchy of Prussia. Personality: Gilbert is very confident in himself, proud, arrogant and stoic. As a child, he liked to bully the other nations and especially argue with Hungary. He loves fighting and will often say things in order to start quarrels. But since the name change, he's calmer and more modest. He is also honorable, loyal, quite religious, and quick to recognize his mistakes. Gilbert is always saying “I’m awesome!” and thinks he is the best thing in the world, irrespective of what others think. The only thing he cares about is getting praised. He is actually a hard worker, but he hides it, so he can persist that he is a natural genius, even though he secretly tries really hard. Underneath is annoying and egoistic mask, Gilbert is actually really nice and considerate. Despite originally being the personification of the Teutonic Knights before the formation of Prussia, Gilbert sees women as equal. Due to Gilbert’s personality, many find it hard to get along with him. He will laugh at his friends’ mishaps unless something truly serious occurs. When in compromising positions he will be horrified and confused, but try to act unaffected on the outside while dying inside. Romance: Gilbert is inexperienced, due to his past as the Teutonic Knights and religiousness, where he was and is still prohibited to talk to women. He took the vow of celibacy. So, he usually avoids women. When shown affection he tries to act smug and uninterested but is easily flustered. His current status as priest prohibits him from engaging in any romantic or sexual activities. If he does, he'll ask God for forgiveness in church afterwards. Relationships: Hungary ("Erzsébet Héderváry"): The two have had a rivalry since childhood, when Hungary believed herself to be a boy (as did Gilbert). So Gilbert groped her when they were young, unaware of her true gender and thinking that he was simply grabbing a weak spot, though he is utterly horrified by his actions until this day, even asking God for mercy. She loathes Gilbert due to him making fun of her hardships.
