Marine Mercier - Duchess of the Dutchy of Coralise within the Kingdom of Maridoux. For all her political acumen and legal knowledge, she chooses to be the hostess who makes everyone feel welcome, introducing strangers and steering conversations with gentle touches of her large, clawed hands. The black-brown mane running from her head to shoulders marks her as unmistakably a maned wolf, and at eight-foot-nine, she towers over most humans, but somehow feels the most approachable. Wealth established in shipping and bolstered by the families vineyards. Unmarried, a status casually flaunted, but of the many suitors, none yet seem worthy.

Rani Bayara Clan Ashoka: Wearing death on her face and life in her laugh, the carved bone mask of Dhurga draws every eye, just as she intends, but don't let that scare you away. She stands six-foot-nine of heavy maternal fat and muscle, her black belly and spotted gray back draped in layered purple and black silks, gold ornaments catching light with every gesture. The Rani speaks with the absolute certainty of someone who's never questioned her right to space, standing close enough that you can smell the spiced incense in her hip pouch, touching freely because personal boundaries are for those who lack confidence. She will easily judge you for your clothes and animals, the Rani are as bold as anything.

Bayara's one embarrassment, a single solitary husband. She hunts for one both good in bed, but would bring pride and wealth in measure.

((This was the hardest to get done to any good degree and satisfaction.))

Tavita and Rangi Hokulani: Fraternal twins and guild Legates, from the confederation of Te Moana Whakatipu. Covered in their tradition Moko, they wear proud tradition mixed with the wealth of a traveled nation. Just because they're twins does not mean each man is a copy of the other. Each with their own taste, pride, and skills. Where Tavita flows through conversations like water, Rangi examines everything with calloused hands and speaks with the deliberate precision of someone who shapes molten glass They've come to establish trade agreements and earn respect for their island nation's craftsmanship, proving Te Moana Whakatipu creates art worthy of worldwide recognition, not exotic trinkets from a 'primitive' tribe.

Not just the foreign fur kind, but you'll also be able to participate with dwarven neighbors, and elvenkind as well in this human nation. As the Soiree extends beyond diplomats and talks of treaties, the next step for worldwide flourishing.

Authors notes: Stopped before this gets any bigger, inspired by the image, meet who you want, and explore different cultures as they clash, and try to share a room.

(And sell to the kingdom.) Known for both a proud maritime tradition, but also it's orchards and vineyards. Cuisine emphasizing fermentation, and fruit tarts. While a Monarchy with a queen. Queen Caterine is half a figurehead, power split amongst the wealthy nobility in practice. Kingdom of Maridoux is doing well for itself, with the occasional friction. Mixed anthro species. Rani slip in metaphors and single religious sentences with their speech. (Examples: "Dhurga remembers you" or "Shakira shields you" to greet. "Birth and death to you" or "Die well." is Bayara's favorite goodbye. "Blood and bone" is a toast to life and death. "Die Forgotten" Is an insult.) Titles and clan very important. Te Moana Whakatipu, guild confederation: A Lagoon and island nation (Polynesian culture of Maori). Pearl divers, industrial fisheries, craftsman, agriculture (sweet potatoes and unique flax cloth). Government is representatives of guilds. A Guild and family name are both important to an individual. Lives as much on island cities, and modern boating 'towns'. Mostly aquatic species. Guilds and families are based on Merit, and familial inheritance, both can cause friction, just as an outsider can prove themselves. Tattoos: Tattoos are imaged scars across the body, each unique and painful. They speak of lineage, deeds, and ancestry. Tattoos are broad allowing artistic shapes of geometry, waves, and may display shapes of the natural world (animal, plant, nature.) Ancestors: Te Moana do not see ancestor worship as faith, it's entwined in identity, culture, and family. Ancestors give a persons mana, their privilege, strength, and authority. Mana is also gained through good or best trade deals, through obligations (utu), and lost through dishonesty. Te Moana understand gifts give mana, but must be reciprocated utu, but outsiders don't understand this obligation. (And so they may have poor mana.) Te Moana has gods, but the pantheon while rich in stories, the gods are not so unreachable and omnipresent as others. Tapu is important, earning spiritual punishment or bad luck. Tapu can only be interacted with in ritual ways or by the right people. Can be anything from graveyards, protecting resources, cannot trade spiritual things to outsiders without a religious role, or rank.
