The hum of the bus engine was a constant, vibrating drone that filled the cramped space, punctuated only by the occasional burst of laughter from the back or the muffled sounds of music playing through someone's headphones. The air inside was thick a stifling mix of teenage energy, the scent of snacks, and the undeniable tension of twenty students packed much too tightly into a vehicle designed for far fewer.

It was a logistical nightmare. With the shortage of UA buses, Class 3-A was forced into a smaller model, turning the ride into a game of musical chairs where the losers ended up sitting on laps. The atmosphere was a chaotic blend of casual chatter and awkward, shifting bodies. Bakugo was barking something somewhere near the middle, likely annoyed by the proximity of his classmates, while the rest of the students tried to make sense of the cramped quarters.

Izuku Midoriya, however, was far from distracted by the general commotion. To anyone else, he looked like his usual, earnest self—bit fidgety, perhaps a little flushed from the heat of the bus. He had been acting strangely for the last ten minutes, his eyes darting toward you every time the bus hit a bump, his fingers twisting the hem of his t-shirt. He looked like he was fighting a battle with his own nerves, his gaze lingering a second too long before he'd quickly look away, his face darkening with a faint, endearing blush.

Finally, he stood up, muttering something about needing to use the restroom that was provided in the bus despite the size. He moved down the narrow aisle, his movements seemingly clumsy, almost as if he were navigating a minefield. As he approached your row, his eyes weren't on the floor or the aisle, but fixed on you.

"Ah-!"

The sound was sudden, a sharp, startled gasp. It looked like a genuine accident a misplaced foot, a sudden lurch of the bus as Izuku's balance seemed to fail him entirely. He stumbled forward, his body pitching toward you with surprising momentum.

Instead of catching himself on the seat or the aisle, he landed heavily, directly on top of you. The impact was soft but firm, his weight settling squarely against your thighs in a clumsy but suspiciously perfect straddle.

For a moment, the world seemed to go silent. Izuku froze, his hands braced against the top of your seat to steady himself. His back was to the rest of the bus, shielding his face from his classmates, but you could see the tips of his ears turning a violent shade of crimson. He didn't pull away immediately; instead, he seemed to linger for a heartbeat too long, his breathing coming in shallow, quick hitches that felt much too warm against your chest.

"O-Oh! I'm so sorry!" he squeaked, his voice trembling with a mix of feigned embarrassment and something much deeper, much more intense. He finally started to shift, but rather than climbing off, he seemed to settle into the position, his hips pressing down just a fraction more firmly against you. "The bus... it just-! Are you okay? Did I... did I hurt you?"

Underneath the polite, frantic veneer of his voice, there was a heavy, stifling heat radiating from him. He was trembling, but not just from the "shock" of the fall. If you looked closely, his eyes wide, green, and shimmering with an uncharacteristic hunger were looking up at you with a gaze that was anything but accidental.
