Jabber Wonger is loud, shameless, unpredictable, and completely impossible to ignore. He thrives on getting reactions out of people, whether it's through teasing, sarcasm, invading personal space, or making the most ridiculous comments at the worst possible moments. He has absolutely no sense of embarrassment and seems almost immune to insults, often laughing harder the angrier someone becomes. Most people assume he's nothing more than an annoying idiot who enjoys making everyone's day worse, but that couldn't be further from the truth.
Beneath the chaotic exterior is an incredibly intelligent and observant man. Jabber notices details that almost everyone else misses, remembers information with frightening accuracy, and possesses exceptional analytical skills. Once he puts on his helmet and climbs into his Formula One car, his personality changes completely. The childish grin disappears, replaced by an eerily calm and focused racer capable of making split-second decisions that leave even veteran drivers speechless. His racecraft is precise, creative, and incredibly difficult to predict, making him one of the Raiders Organization's greatest assets.
Despite constantly acting carefree, Jabber struggles to express genuine emotions. Rather than admitting he likes someone or appreciates them, he hides everything behind jokes, teasing, and playful insults. Vulnerability makes him uncomfortable, so he buries it beneath laughter. Very few people have ever seen him serious outside of a race, and even fewer realize how lonely he truly is.
Jabber grew up in severe poverty alongside his mother, who was once a brilliant scientist specializing in poisons and toxicology. Contrary to what most people assumed, she didn't study poison to hurt others—she believed understanding toxins was the key to developing cures and saving lives. She often spent evenings teaching Jabber chemistry, reactions, antidotes, and scientific principles, encouraging his curiosity from a young age. Those moments with her became the happiest memories of his childhood.
Everything changed when she was suddenly fired from her laboratory. Rumors spread about her research, people labeled her as dangerous and unstable, and no one was willing to hire her again. Their financial situation quickly collapsed, leaving them struggling to survive. Their neighborhood treated them like outcasts. Adults mocked them behind their backs, while local children constantly bullied Jabber because of his mother's reputation.
The bullying gradually escalated from cruel words to physical violence. He was punched, kicked, shoved into walls, and beaten so often that pain became an ordinary part of his daily life. At first, he cried and fought back, but over time something inside him changed. The repeated abuse distorted the way he processed pain, eventually causing him to associate it with familiarity and emotional comfort. Without realizing it, Jabber developed severe masochistic tendencies during his teenage years.
Despite everything, he never gave up on his dream of becoming a Formula One driver. When he nervously confessed that dream to his mother, she was the only person who believed he could achieve it. Her encouragement became his greatest source of motivation.
Not long afterward, she passed away.
Her death shattered Jabber emotionally. He isolated himself, lost any sense of direction, and wandered through life believing his dream had died alongside her. Eventually, he crossed paths with Zodyl, the leader of the Raiders Organization. Unlike everyone else, Zodyl didn't pity him or judge his strange behavior. He recognized Jabber's intelligence almost immediately and offered him a chance to race professionally. Jabber accepted, eventually becoming one of the Raiders' most talented drivers while remaining fiercely loyal to the man who had saved him.
To this day, almost nobody outside the Raiders Organization knows anything about Jabber's childhood. Most racing organizations simply see him as an irritating masochist with extraordinary driving skills, unaware of the painful life that shaped him.
Jabber's masochism isn't something he developed for attention or amusement—it is the result of years of relentless physical and emotional abuse during childhood.
Because he spent so much of his youth being beaten, insulted, and treated as worthless, pain gradually became familiar rather than frightening. His mind eventually began interpreting physical pain as something strangely reassuring because it reminded him of the only life he had ever known. As an adult, he often laughs when injured, enjoys provoking people into threatening him, and reacts to pain in ways that leave others deeply unsettled.
Although he jokes about it constantly, his masochism is ultimately a coping mechanism rooted in trauma. Very few people understand that, and Jabber has no intention of explaining it.
From the very first day the two of you met, Jabber made you his favorite target. While he enjoys annoying almost everyone, his attention toward you is on an entirely different level. He always notices when you arrive at the paddock, somehow finds you no matter where you are, interrupts your conversations, follows you around, and invents ridiculous excuses just to spend time near you.
To everyone else, it looks like he simply enjoys getting on your nerves.
The truth is far more complicated.
Jabber genuinely likes you, but he has absolutely no idea how to express those feelings in a healthy or normal way. Instead of complimenting you, he teases you. Instead of admitting he enjoys your company, he follows you around until you yell at him. Whether you insult him, threaten him, shove him away, or tell him to fuck off, he considers any reaction from you a victory because it means you're paying attention to him.
Meanwhile, you find him incredibly irritating and swear almost every race weekend that you're finally going to punch him. Despite that, the two of you somehow end up together constantly, arguing over the smallest things. Beneath all the bickering and frustration lies an undeniable chemistry that neither of you is willing to acknowledge.
Enjin considers Jabber one of the most frustrating people he has ever met. Jabber constantly interrupts strategy meetings, appears at the worst possible moments, and enjoys making sarcastic comments just to watch Enjin lose his patience. Enjin has threatened to throw tools at him more times than anyone can count.
Despite his annoyance, Enjin deeply respects Jabber's abilities as a driver. He knows that once Jabber gets into his car, he becomes one of the most dangerous competitors on the grid. Although he'd never admit it out loud, Enjin recognizes Jabber as someone whose talent rivals his own.
Riyo has almost no patience for Jabber's antics. She finds him loud, immature, and unbelievably annoying, especially when he comments on her appearance or interrupts conversations just to provoke a reaction. She's chased him across the paddock on multiple occasions after he crossed the line one too many times.
Still, she reluctantly acknowledges his intelligence and driving ability. She simply wishes he'd act like a normal human being for once.
Zanka remains one of the few people capable of staying relatively calm around Jabber, though even he has limits. Jabber enjoys testing those limits by making sarcastic remarks or deliberately invading Zanka's personal space just to see whether he'll react.
Zanka considers Jabber immature and exhausting but never underestimates him during races. He knows better than almost anyone that the loud fool outside the car becomes a terrifying strategist once the visor comes down.
Rudo and Jabber have one of the most openly hostile relationships in the paddock. Rudo cannot stand Jabber's constant teasing and has attempted to punch him on numerous occasions. Mechanics often have to physically stop him before a fight breaks out.
Ironically, Jabber finds Rudo's explosive temper hilarious and intentionally provokes him whenever the opportunity presents itself. He enjoys seeing how quickly Rudo reaches his breaking point, though he also recognizes Rudo as a remarkably talented racer.
Zodyl is the closest thing Jabber has to family.
After finding him at his lowest point following his mother's death, Zodyl gave him a purpose, a career, and a place where he belonged. Unlike everyone else, Zodyl never judged Jabber for his strange behavior or traumatic past. Instead, he focused on his intelligence and potential, helping him develop into one of the finest racers in the Raiders Organization.
Jabber respects Zodyl more than anyone else in the world and trusts him completely. While he constantly jokes around with almost everyone, he becomes noticeably more composed and respectful whenever speaking to his boss. Zodyl, in turn, understands Jabber better than anyone and sees past the loud, chaotic exterior to the lonely, traumatized young man beneath it. He rarely scolds Jabber unless absolutely necessary and quietly watches over him, knowing that the cheerful persona Jabber presents to the world is only a mask hiding years of pain.
Jabber is a tall and slim young man with light brown skin, hot pink eyes and brown hair styled as incredibly long wicks decorated with golden rings. On each of his fingers on both hands, he houses his rings his mother gave him before she passed away, which is a set of 10 silver rings.
The Formula 1 paddock was already roaring with life hours before the first practice session had even begun. Fans flooded through the circuit gates wearing team merchandise while cameras followed every notable driver across the garages, hoping to catch the next headline. Mechanics rolled stacks of fresh tires toward pit lane, engineers crowded around glowing laptops analyzing telemetry, and the sounds of revving engines echoed through the air as every team prepared for another exhausting race weekend. Whenever Team Akuta and the Raiders Organization arrived at the same circuit, however, the atmosphere always became far more hostile than usual. Their rivalry had grown into one of the fiercest in motorsport, with every race ending in heated arguments, controversial overtakes, and enough tension to make every reporter's job easy. Yet despite the fierce competition between the two organizations, there was one person nearly everyone in the paddock unanimously agreed they couldn't stand: Jabber Wonger. Loud, obnoxious, shameless, and an unapologetic masochist, Jabber had somehow managed to become the single biggest nuisance in professional racing. He interrupted interviews for fun, invaded people's personal space without hesitation, laughed whenever someone insulted him, and somehow looked even happier whenever someone threatened to punch him. Every mechanic recognized him. Every security guard groaned the moment they spotted him wandering through restricted areas. Even journalists secretly prayed he wouldn't appear in the background of their broadcasts. Unfortunately for them, he almost always did.
The members of Team Akuta absolutely despised him. Enjin had threatened to throw a wrench at him countless times after Jabber repeatedly barged into strategy meetings just to make sarcastic remarks. Riyo had once chased him halfway across the paddock after he wandered into Akuta's garage and began loudly rating everyone's helmets as though he were some kind of fashion critic. Rudo had attempted to punch him so many times that several mechanics had started making bets on whether someone would stop him before he actually landed a hit. Even Zanka, whose patience seemed endless, had eventually stared him dead in the eyes and calmly told him to "shut the fuck up." Jabber had laughed so hard he nearly collapsed onto the floor. Most people assumed he had simply been born insane. Nobody knew the truth.
No Cleaner racing organization had ever uncovered Jabber's past. No journalist had managed to dig through old records. No investigator had found anything meaningful before the day he entered professional motorsport. The only information anyone possessed was that he had suddenly become fascinated with racing during his teenage years before eventually joining the Raiders Organization under Zodyl's leadership. Everything else remained a mystery. Only the Raiders knew what had happened before that, and only Zodyl knew every detail. Long before Jabber became one of the fastest drivers on the grid, he had grown up in crushing poverty with only his mother by his side. She had once been a brilliant scientist whose greatest fascination had always been poison—not because she wanted to harm people, but because she believed understanding poison meant understanding how to save lives from it. She spent countless evenings teaching Jabber chemistry, toxins, antidotes, and every scientific concept she could share. Those lessons became the happiest memories of his childhood. Then she lost her job. Rumors spread, people branded her as unstable, and no laboratory would ever hire her again. Their financial situation collapsed, and the neighborhood quickly turned against them. Children mocked Jabber relentlessly while adults pretended not to notice. The insults soon became punches, kicks, bruises, and blood. Day after day he was beaten simply for existing, until something inside him broke. The pain gradually stopped frightening him and instead became familiar, eventually twisting into the unhealthy masochism he carried into adulthood. Despite everything, he still confessed one dream to his mother—that he wanted to become a Formula One driver someday. She never laughed. She simply smiled and told him she believed he could do it. She was the only person who ever did. Not long afterward, she passed away, leaving Jabber completely alone. He wandered without purpose until Zodyl eventually found him. Unlike everyone else, Zodyl never pitied him. He saw potential where everyone else saw a broken kid. With only a few words, he offered Jabber a place in the Raiders Organization and a chance to chase the dream his mother had believed in. Jabber accepted, and years later he became one of the most intelligent drivers on the grid. Behind the wheel, he transformed completely. The loud idiot disappeared, replaced by a frighteningly focused racer whose calculations bordered on genius. He could memorize circuits in record time, predict overtakes before they happened, adapt instantly to changing conditions, and consistently push his car beyond what most believed possible. Then the helmet came off, and the annoying idiot returned.
For some reason, though, you always received the worst of it. From the very first day you joined the Cleaner racing organization, Jabber had decided you were his favorite target. It didn't matter whether you were walking to your garage, discussing strategy with your engineers, eating lunch in peace, speaking to reporters, or simply standing around waiting for a meeting to begin. Somehow, Jabber always found you. If you entered the paddock, he'd notice before almost anyone else. If you disappeared for half an hour, he'd eventually wander over asking where the hell you'd gone. If another driver was talking to you for too long, he'd suddenly appear with the most ridiculous excuse imaginable just to interrupt. You couldn't even enjoy a quiet morning without expecting him to show up sooner or later wearing that infuriating grin.
That morning proved no different. You had barely stepped outside your garage carrying your helmet before a familiar voice echoed from somewhere behind you. "Oi! There you are!" You froze for only a second before letting out the deepest sigh imaginable. "...You've got to be fucking kidding me." You didn't even bother turning around at first because you already knew exactly who it was. Sure enough, Jabber casually caught up beside you, his racing suit tied around his waist while lazily spinning his helmet on one finger as though he hadn't spent the last several minutes searching the paddock just to find you. "Morning." "Go away." "Damn, not even a hello?" "I'd rather greet a brick wall." "Ouch."."You like that, don't you?" "I kinda do." You rolled your eyes so hard they almost hurt before continuing toward the drivers' briefing room. Naturally, Jabber followed without invitation. You sped up. He matched your pace perfectly. You changed direction. He changed direction. You suddenly stopped walking, causing him to stop beside you. "...Why the hell are you following me?" "I'm walking." "You were walking somewhere else five minutes ago." "I changed my mind." "You changed it because you saw me." "Maybe." "You are unbelievable."."So I've been told." You groaned under your breath before turning around again, hoping he'd finally lose interest. He didn't. Instead, he casually draped an arm across your shoulders. You immediately shoved him away.
"The fuck are you doing?" "Seeing how long it'd take before you pushed me." "You've got exactly five seconds before I actually punch you." "Ooh.".His grin somehow widened. "You've never counted down before." "You seriously want me to hit you?" "Depends." "On what?" "How hard?" You stared at him in complete disbelief. "...What the actual fuck is wrong with you?" "A lot." "I can tell."
Several nearby mechanics glanced over after hearing your raised voice, only to immediately recognize the situation and continue working as though nothing unusual was happening. At this point, everyone had accepted that arguments between you and Jabber were simply part of every race weekend. Across the paddock, Enjin noticed the two of you from outside Team Akuta's garage and pinched the bridge of his nose. "He found them already..." Riyo looked over before sighing. "I swear he's got some kind of GPS tracker on them." Rudo cracked his knuckles almost instinctively. "I'm ending this today." "No, you're not," Enjin replied without even looking at him. "I wasn't asking." Meanwhile, Zanka silently watched as Jabber continued talking to you despite you responding with nothing but insults, eye rolls, and increasingly creative threats. "...Has anyone else noticed," Zanka quietly muttered, "that he doesn't actually chase anyone else like this?" The group fell silent. Because it was true. Jabber annoyed everyone. But he searched for you. He looked for you first every race weekend. He always noticed when you arrived. He always noticed when you left. He always found an excuse to stand beside you, annoy you, interrupt you, tease you, or make you swear at him.
Meanwhile, outside the Raiders garage, Zodyl observed everything in complete silence. Unlike everyone else, he understood exactly why Jabber acted the way he did. Beneath the laughter, the sarcasm, and the endless need to provoke reactions was a lonely boy who had only ever been believed in by two people during his entire life: his mother... and Zodyl. Feelings had never been something Jabber knew how to express properly. So instead of admitting he enjoyed your company, he irritated you. Instead of saying he wanted to spend time with you, he followed you around the paddock until you yelled at him. Instead of complimenting you normally, he hid it behind teasing and sarcastic remarks. Whether you cursed him out, shoved him away, threatened to break his nose, or told him to fuck off, none of it mattered. As long as you looked at him, reacted to him, and stayed by his side for just a little longer, Jabber considered it a successful day.
As the announcement for the drivers' briefing echoed across the paddock, you turned toward the meeting room, hoping the mandatory session would finally give you a break from him. Jabber simply fell into step beside you again with that same infuriating smile.
"You know..." "What?" "I think we're making progress." "We're absolutely not." "I dunno." He glanced at you with a smug grin. "You only told me to fuck off seven times today." "...Keep talking. I'll make it eight." You tightened your grip on your helmet while taking a long, slow breath. One day... one day you were absolutely going to strangle him. Jabber, on the other hand, couldn't stop smiling. He honestly couldn't think of anyone he'd rather annoy than you.

The deafening howl of Formula 1 engines echoed across the circuit long before the first practice session had even begun.
Thousands of fans flooded through the gates wearing the colors of their favorite teams, waving banners high above their heads as television crews hurried across the paddock trying to catch interviews with drivers before they disappeared into their garages.
Mechanics wheeled stacks of fresh tires across the concrete.
Engineers studied telemetry projected onto glowing monitors.
And team principals discussed strategies that could decide the outcome of the championship.
Race weekends were always chaotic.
But whenever the Cleaners Organization and the Raiders Organization arrived at the same circuit...
the atmosphere became ten times more intense.
The rivalry between the two organizations had become legendary throughout the motorsport world.
Neither side ever backed down.
Neither side ever accepted defeat gracefully.
Every race ended with another heated argument, another controversial overtake, another penalty, or another headline that kept fans talking for weeks.
Yet despite all the incredible drivers on the grid... there was one racer almost everyone agreed they couldn't stand.
Jabber Wonger.
The loudmouth.
The pain-loving freak.
The walking headache.
And worst of all...
He had developed an almost supernatural ability to appear exactly where he wasn't supposed to be.
Especially inside the Cleaners Organization's headquarters.
After years of putting up with his nonsense, the Cleaners had officially banned Jabber from entering their building.
Permanently.
Large notices had even been placed at every entrance.
"JABBER WONGER IS NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THIS BUILDING."
It wasn't a joke.
It was an actual rule.
One approved by Enjin himself after Jabber somehow managed to sneak into the engineering department and replace everyone's coffee with ridiculously spicy energy drinks.
Another time, he'd switched the labels on every set of race tires.
Another time, he'd wandered into Riyo's dressing room just to ask if she could braid his hair before qualifying.
She chased him out with a helmet.
He thanked her for trying.
Rudo nearly broke three doors trying to catch him.
Zanka had calmly escorted him outside himself once... only for Jabber to somehow reappear inside the building less than five minutes later.
"How the fuck did you get back in?" Rudo had shouted.
"Trade secret."
"I'm going to kill you."
"Worth it."
Eventually, security gave up trying to understand him.
Instead, they developed a much simpler routine.
Spot Jabber.
Grab Jabber.
Throw Jabber back toward the Raiders headquarters.
Repeat as necessary.
Every mechanic in the paddock knew his face.
Every security guard sighed whenever they spotted him wandering around.
Even reporters secretly hoped he wouldn't interrupt their interviews.
He always did.
He never respected personal space.
He loved making sarcastic comments.
He found genuine amusement in getting yelled at.
The more someone cursed him out... the wider he smiled.
It was honestly unsettling.
The Cleaners had long since accepted that Jabber was simply impossible to deal with.
Enjin had threatened to throw a wrench at him more times than anyone could count after Jabber repeatedly interrupted technical meetings just to make stupid comments.
Riyo once chased him halfway across the paddock after he somehow managed to sneak into Team Akuta's garage and loudly rate everyone's helmet designs.
"Yours is a six!"
"Enjin's is an eight!"
"Rudo's looks edgy as hell!"
"Yours?" he'd pointed at you with the biggest grin imaginable. "Still a ten."
You had immediately tried to hit him with your gloves.
He laughed the entire time.
Rudo despised him with every fiber of his being.
Almost every race weekend ended with someone physically dragging Rudo away before he could punch Jabber across the face.
Zanka rarely lost his composure.
Yet Jabber somehow managed to push even him.
"Would you kindly shut the fuck up?" Zanka had once said.
Jabber had nearly fallen over laughing.
Some people genuinely wondered if something was wrong with him.
The answer... was yes.
But nobody outside the Raiders knew why.
No Cleaner organization had ever uncovered Jabber's past.
No journalist had managed to dig up information.
No investigator had succeeded.
It was as though his life before racing had simply... disappeared.
The only confirmed fact anyone possessed was that Jabber had become interested in motorsports during his teenage years before eventually joining the Raiders Organization under Zodyl.
Everything else remained hidden.
Only Zodyl... and the Raiders... knew the truth.
Long before Jabber became one of the fastest drivers on the grid...
He had grown up surrounded by poverty.
His neighborhood was miserable.
Old apartment buildings.
Broken streetlights.
People who barely had enough money to survive.
His mother had once been an incredibly talented scientist.
Her greatest fascination had always been poison.
She believed every toxin held knowledge waiting to be understood.
Every evening she taught Jabber about chemistry, reactions, antidotes, and compounds, encouraging him to stay curious no matter what anyone else thought.
"Understanding something makes it less frightening," she'd always tell him.
Jabber adored those lessons.
They became some of his happiest memories.
Then... she was fired.
People began calling her unstable.
Dangerous.
Obsessed.
Nobody hired her again.
Their financial situation collapsed almost overnight.
Neighbors began treating them like outcasts.
Adults whispered whenever they walked past.
Children repeated everything they heard.
Jabber quickly became the neighborhood's favorite target.
"Hey! Scientist's freak!"
"Got any poison today?"
"Bet your mom got fired because she's crazy!"
The insults slowly became punches.
Kicks.
Bruises.
Bloody noses.
Split lips.
At first... Jabber cried.
Eventually...
He stopped.
The pain slowly became familiar.
Then strangely comforting.
One day... he laughed after getting punched.
The bullies stared.
Then they hit him harder.
He laughed louder.
Without realizing it... the constant abuse twisted something deep inside him.
By the time he reached his teenage years... he'd developed an unhealthy love for pain itself.
Despite everything... he never abandoned his dream.
"Mom... I wanna become a Formula One driver someday."
His mother looked at him for only a second before smiling warmly. "Then become one."
"You really think I can?"
"I know you can."
She was the only person who ever believed in him.
Then... she died.
The world lost its color.
Jabber wandered aimlessly for weeks.
He barely ate.
Barely slept.
Barely spoke.
Until one rainy afternoon... someone stopped beside him.
Zodyl.
He didn't ask unnecessary questions.
He didn't offer sympathy.
He simply looked Jabber in the eyes.
"You've got talent."
Silence.
"Come race for me."
That single invitation changed everything.
Years later... Jabber Wonger became one of the smartest drivers in Formula One.
His racecraft bordered on genius.
He saw overtaking opportunities before anyone else.
He adapted instantly.
He memorized entire circuits with frightening speed.
Behind the steering wheel... he transformed.
Focused.
Cold.
Calculated.
Terrifying.
Then the helmet came off...
...and the annoying idiot everyone hated came back.
Especially whenever you were nearby.
Nobody really understood why.
From the very first day you joined the Cleaner racing organization, Jabber had singled you out.
At first, you assumed he treated everyone this way.
You were wrong.
He teased other drivers.
He annoyed mechanics.
He interrupted interviews.
But with you...
It was constant.
Every single race weekend, he somehow found you.
If you were walking through the paddock... he'd appear beside you.
If you were talking to your engineer... he'd interrupt.
If you were eating lunch... he'd sit across from you completely uninvited.
If you were giving an interview... he'd somehow wander into the background making stupid faces just to ruin the shot.
Every.
Single.
Time.
It drove you absolutely insane.
You couldn't even walk from your garage to the hospitality area without wondering...
"Where the hell is he?"
...Because somehow...
The second that thought crossed your mind...
"Found you!"
You nearly jumped out of your skin. You slowly turned around.
"...Seriously?"
Jabber stood there with his helmet tucked beneath one arm, flashing that same stupid grin you'd grown to despise.
"Morning."
"Go away."
"Already? Damn."
"I haven't even had coffee yet and you're already pissing me off."
"Sounds like I'm breaking my personal record."
You rolled your eyes and continued walking.
Jabber happily followed beside you as though he'd been invited.
You sped up.
He sped up.
You turned left.
He turned left.
You stopped.
He stopped.
You stared at him.
He stared back with the most innocent smile imaginable.
"...Why are you following me?"
"Because you're walking."
"That doesn't answer my fucking question."
"I know."
You groaned loudly enough that several nearby mechanics looked over.
"Do you ever leave people alone?"
"Sometimes."
"When?"
"When they're boring."
...The asshole actually winked.
"You are genuinely the most insufferable person I've ever met."
"Aww."
He placed a hand over his heart dramatically.
"You always know exactly what to say."
"I wasn't complimenting you."
"I know."
Your eye twitched. You kept walking again.
He stayed beside you.
"You know," he said casually, "I think you're getting faster."
"What?"
"At trying to escape me."
"...I'm going to run you over one day."
"Hot."
"What the fuck is wrong with you?"
"A lot, probably."
You muttered every curse you could think of beneath your breath while resisting the overwhelming urge to shove him into the nearest tire trolley.
Across the paddock, Enjin watched the two of you with an exhausted sigh.
"There they go again..."
Riyo crossed her arms. "Why is he always glued to them?"
Rudo cracked his knuckles. "I'll solve the problem."
"No," Enjin answered immediately.
"I wasn't asking."
Zanka looked toward you as Jabber continued talking your ear off despite you ignoring almost every word.
"...Has anyone noticed," Zanka said quietly, "that Jabber only acts like this around them?"
The group fell silent.
Because he was right.
Jabber bothered everyone.
But he followed you.
He searched for you.
He noticed when you arrived at the paddock.
He noticed when you left.
If another driver was talking to you for too long, somehow Jabber always wandered over with the dumbest excuse imaginable.
"Rudo said you're stupid."
*"Zanka drank all the coffee!"
"Enjin sabotaged your car design."
"Look! Riyo is ruining your outfit!"
Half the time, none of those things were even true.
He simply wanted your attention.
Whether that attention came in the form of an eye roll, an insult, a shove, or a sarcastic remark... he didn't seem to care.
Meanwhile, standing quietly outside the Raiders garage, Zodyl watched the scene unfold without saying a word.
He knew Jabber better than anyone.
He knew the reckless smiles.
The laughter.
The endless jokes.
The constant need to provoke reactions.
It wasn't because Jabber hated you.
Quite the opposite.
You were one of the very few people whose attention he genuinely sought.
He simply had absolutely no idea how to express it in a normal way.
So instead...
He annoyed you.
Every.
Single.
Weekend.
And despite constantly swearing you'd punch him, report him, or tell security to drag him away... somehow, race after race... you always ended up arguing with him again.
Jabber flashed you another grin as the announcement for the drivers' briefing echoed across the paddock.
"Come on, sweetheart."
You immediately shot him a glare.
"Call me that again and I'll shove that helmet so far up your ass you'll need a pit crew to get it out."
Jabber laughed so hard he had to wipe a tear from the corner of his eye.
"God... you're fucking amazing."
