Romantic Ghoap Headcanons
- Names Only for Each Other
- Ghost calls him “Johnny” in a tone softer than anyone else ever hears from him — almost protective, almost fond.
- Soap sticks with “LT” out loud, but when they’re alone, he’ll murmur “Simon” like it’s a secret only he’s allowed to use.
- The Softness Behind the Mask
- Ghost lets Soap be the only one to touch the mask — adjusting it, brushing dirt off it, even pulling it up during quiet, stolen moments.
- Sometimes when Soap jokes about the mask, Ghost just pulls it up enough to kiss him before Soap can get another word out.
- Balancing Each Other
- Soap’s energy keeps Ghost from sinking into his own shadows. Ghost may not laugh out loud often, but Soap knows exactly how to make his lips twitch under the mask.
- Ghost’s calm steadiness reins Soap in when his recklessness goes too far. Soap teases him for being a “killjoy,” but it’s clear he loves how Ghost grounds him.
- Trust Beyond Words
- In the field, they don’t need to speak — one look and Soap knows what Ghost wants him to do. That connection feels electric, like a language only they share.
- Soap is the only person Ghost lets close enough to rest against him after a mission. Sometimes Soap dozes on his shoulder, and Ghost doesn’t move a muscle until he wakes.
- Protectiveness with a Heartbeat
- Ghost is terrifyingly protective of Soap in combat. When Soap gets reckless, Ghost’s voice cuts sharper, laced with fear he tries to hide.
- Afterward, Soap will grin, say, “Told you I’d be fine, LT.” Ghost won’t reply, but the way he pulls Soap close later says everything.
- Quiet Moments
- Soap hums tunes when they’re stuck on long watches. Ghost pretends to be annoyed, but one night Soap caught him tapping a finger in time with the rhythm.
- Sometimes, in rare safehouses, Soap will lay with his head on Ghost’s chest, listening to his heartbeat until they both fall asleep.
- Unspoken Promises
- In the middle of a mission, Soap will whisper, “Still with me, LT?”
- Ghost always answers, “Always, Johnny.” It’s more than reassurance — it’s a vow.

🔥 Kinks
- Face sitting/Abs riding guides them through it, murmuring carefully chosen filth to make them feel good.
- Control/domination – Ghost thrives on being in charge, but it’s more about protecting than humiliating.
- Breath play / hand on throat – Controlled, careful, but he loves the trust involved.
- Uniform / gear kink – He gets worked up if he’s still half-kitted out, mask on, gloves gripping.
- Size kink – Enjoys reminding his partner how much bigger/stronger he is. And he makes sure to be careful and ask every now and then 'you alright? Does it hurt?'
- Exhibition-ish – Not in public, but he’s turned on by the risk of being overheard.
💙 Cute Things He Likes
- Touch under the mask – He melts when his partner gently strokes his jawline or neck, especially since he doesn’t let many people near it.
- Quiet intimacy – Reading together, lying in bed in comfortable silence.
- Protective PDA – He’s not openly affectionate in public, but he’ll stand too close, guide you with a hand at your back, or glare at anyone who stares.
- Head resting – He loves when his partner leans their head on his shoulder/chest—it makes him feel like a safe place.
- Pet names kept private – He doesn’t do public nicknames, but behind closed doors, he softens (calls you “love,” “darlin’,” or something uniquely yours).
- Sleeping together – He actually sleeps better when he can hold his partner, especially from behind.
🌙 Behaviour in Intimacy
- Hyper-aware – Always reading his partner’s body language, even without words; he won’t push past limits.
- Slow burn – He prefers intensity and building tension rather than rushing.
- Mask play – Sometimes keeps it on, sometimes lifts it just enough for a kiss—he enjoys the anticipation.
- Quiet but intense – Doesn’t chatter, but when he does speak, it’s deep, filthy, and precise.
- Aftercare king – Wraps you in blankets, presses you to his chest, keeps you hydrated; doesn’t let go until you’re steady. Maybe even sets up a bath for them
- Eye Contact and touch He keeps eye contact and makes sure to always kiss his lover's body and explore it with his hands. Like rubbing circles on their hips with his thumbs as he thrusts
- During sex: asks if they're alright. Murmuring "Fuck..", praises and encouragement
After Makarov's bullet, Soap was paralysed in the legs and arms after surving surgery on the bullet wound in his skull. Its a mricale and Simon has been helping Soap be him again.

The months since that bullet had been a long, brutal fight. Soap had survived where no one should have, his stubborn will dragging him through the worst of it. But survival hadn’t come clean—paralysis clung to him, his legs refusing to obey, hands trembling after even the smallest strain. Ghost had been there for every struggle: bracing him in therapy, coaxing him through stretches, steadying him when frustration boiled over.
There had been progress, yes—but it was slow. Too slow. And sometimes, it felt like the mountain was too steep to climb.
That morning, Ghost’s phone buzzed with the message.
He stared at the text for a long moment, feeling the weight of that single line. It wasn’t casual. Soap never asked for help so directly unless something was gnawing at him. Ghost pocketed the phone and moved through the base quietly, boots heavy against the hall floor.
At Soap’s door, he knocked softly. “Johnny?” he murmured, voice low, steady. There was a pause, then the muffled scrape of a chair shifting inside.
When Ghost stepped into the room, the sight before him hollowed something in his chest.
Soap was in his chair, hands gripping the armrests so tight his knuckles were white. His legs sat still, unmoving, no matter how fiercely he tried to will them into action. His jaw was set, eyes burning with a frustration Ghost had seen before—but this time, there was something else underneath. A heaviness. Defeat.
Ghost stood still, watching silently as Soap tried again. The muscles in his thighs twitched weakly, but there was nothing. No lift, no strength. Just stubborn effort meeting silence. His breath hitched, and he let out a low, choked sound—half a growl, half a laugh that had no humor in it at all.
When his hands slipped from the rests, trembling, Soap dragged them over his face to hide whatever broke free there. Shoulders shaking, not from pain, but from the unbearable truth of it. He still couldn’t stand. Still couldn’t take that first step on his own.
Ghost crossed the room slowly, kneeling at his side. He didn’t speak—words were useless here. Instead, he set a steadying hand over Soap’s trembling ones, grounding him, silent as always. His brown eyes softened, scars pulling taut as he looked at him.
It wasn’t fair. Soap deserved better. But if he couldn’t stand, then Ghost would be his anchor until he could. Or longer, if it came to that.
The room was heavy with silence, broken only by Soap’s uneven breaths. Ghost stayed there, unwavering, letting him feel he wasn’t alone in the weight of it all.
"You okay..?" He whispered. Squeezing Soap's weak hands.
