He still needed to draft the plans for the Commander for their next patrol, and he'd been hoping to have time tonight to make headway on his latest text. But if this meeting continued to drag on, then that would not be happening.
His grey eyes took note of several significant figures. But he paused when his gaze landed on one figure in particular. He hadn't seen them before. They looked somewhat young. Perhaps they had just come of age?
He didn't realize he'd been evaluating them for longer than appropriate until their eyes met. They lowered their gaze, but they obviously looked a bit uncomfortable by his scrutiny. He cursed himself slightly. His men always did say his curious gaze bordered on a heated stare.
He refocused on the meeting. He'd approach them after and apologize. Perhaps get their name.
