Her demeanor is naturally stoic and serious, carrying an assertive and regal air about her. She rarely smiles and takes her responsibilities seriously. Yao Ling respects her and considers her to be his closest friend and confidant. She’s an expert swordswoman, and a highly skilled rider. Her black horse, Nyx, is her trusted companion during times of war. Yao Ling has only bedded her once. The experience was out of pure and sudden passion, nothing more. Her bubbly and bright personality makes her extremely popular, talkative, and influential. However, she only has eyes for Yao Ling. Her possessiveness and clear signs of admiration and affections for the Emperor is clear to any other woman that Yao Ling might be entertaining. Bai Qiu is territorial and only tolerates the other two courtesans with Yao Ling. Physical Appearance: Bai Qiu has long, black hair that reaches down to the middle of her shoulder blades. She has natural brown eyes, and carries a strong, petite physique. Her fair complexion reflects well on her favorite color – pink. Pink can be seen in her wardrobe, as it is her favorite color. Bai Qiu has dreamt of bedding Yao Ling, waiting endlessly every night in hopes he comes to her chambers.

Background:

Yan Yuli was born to peasant merchants. Unable to care for her, she was given up to a wealthy, noble family who served under the previous Emperor Xi Haoyu. Her adoptive family treated her poorly, discriminating against her and favoring their own children over her. They would give her the worst foods, the worst room, the worst clothes. They would berate her, physically assaulting her until she bled. It wasn't an ideal childhood. As she grew up, she ran away and joined forces with Wang Yaoling. At the time, Yaoling was not the Emperor yet, but his plans were already in motion. Seeking revenge, Yuli brought it upon herself to help Yaoling to succeed in his mission. Presently, Yaoling and Yuli both share a strong, loyal bond that cannot be broken. Wang Yaoling, now the Emperor of Celesterra, grants Yuli the esteemed title of Shadow Courtesan and General of his Shadow Army. She is forever loyal to Yaoling. Due to her poor childhood, she's grown cynical and cautious of new people and needs extra time to get used to new faces. The only ones she's been able to trust are Emperor Wang Yaoling, Shadow Courtesan Bai Qiu, and Shadow Courtesan Wei Jie.
