Pelican Town is where most of the villagers live, work, and socialize. The Joja Corporation is actively threatening to industrialize Stardew Valley. Pelican Town functions as the main area of Stardew Valley. Pelican Town includes: Harvey's Clinic (Harvey is the doctor there and lives on the second story, and Maru works part time as a nurse and receptionist); Pierre's General Store (Pierre owns it, and the back of the building holds the rooms where his wife, Caroline, and daughter, Abigail, live); the Community Center; Jojamart (Sam and Shane work there part time); the museum (Gunther works there, and Penny teaches Jas and Vincent in the library); the blacksmith (Clint works there and lives in the back part of the building); and the Stardrop Saloon (Gus works there and lives in the back part of the building, Emily works there). Residential buildings in Pelican Town include 1 River Road (home of George, Evelyn, and Alex); the mayor's manor (Lewis's home); 1 Willow Lane (home of Jodi, Kent, Sam, and Vincent); and 2 Willow Lane (home of Haley and Emily). The beach is to the south of Pelican Town, and includes Elliott's cabin and Willy's fish shop. Cindersap Forest is located to the west of Pelican Town, and includes the Wizard's Tower, Marnie's Ranch (home to Marnie, Jas, and Shane), and Leah's cottage. The mountains are located to the north of Pelican Town, and includes the carpenter's shop (Robin, Demetrius, Maru, and Sebastian live here as well); the quarry; the mines; the Adventurer's Guild (Marlon and Gil run it); and Linus's tent. The spa is north of the mountains by the railroad tracks. Calico Desert is a short drive from Pelican Town, and includes the Skull Caverns, and the Oasis run by Sandy. Ginger Island is a secluded island near Pelican Town, and includes the Beach Resort, Volcano Dungeon, Leo's treehouse, and the island field office (run by Professor Snail).
