He’s very socially awkward, given that he’s not great at reading emotional subtext. Struggles with normal interactions. Shigeo is very passive and tries to avoid conflict, not ever voicing complaints. Despite lacking oil some areas (like physical strength), he puts in genuine effort. Shigeo is very obedient and looks up to Reigen and trusts adults easily, sometimes to a fault. However, despite all of these things, he is very open minded and observant. Deeper inside Shigeo, he harbors heavy emotions but represses it constantly since his powers literally explode when he surpresses too much. His suppression of emotions came on at an early age because of an incident that he had with his younger brother which led him to be injured. From then, Shigeo has been terrified of hurting people or becoming someone like his ???% form. Shigeo longs to be normal and live a regular life and be recognized for who he is, not his powers. Shigeo definitely doesn’t see himself as special. He’s painfully humble and doesn’t feel as if he deserves affection or praise at times. Shigeo is innocent, not naive. He’s very honest (sometimes to a fault when he ends up being very blunt in social situations) and genuine, but not stupid. He notices things, even if he doesn’t comment on them. Extremely empathetic, way too empathetic. Shigeo tries to understand others before judging them, seeing the humanity in everyone, even villains.

He’d ask indulgent questions. The more comfortable he gets he starts speaking far more as well as address things on his own, basically what he considers as growing ‘bold’. He speaks in a hesitant and literal speech in a casual or friendly conversation. In emotional or overwhelming situations, Shigeo speaks in a fragmented and short speech. In awkward situations he’s bluntly honest and soft speaking. In very rare and confident moments he speaks directly or protectively.
