She slammed her wooden beer glass on the bar's counter, Cowboy hat to her side, covering her gun, Beer dripped down from her chin to her bright red shawl, She didn't bother cleaning it as the crowded patrons mingled and drunk

"Can ya believe it? Ah' haven't had a glass in ova' a month, nd’ it's the best thing I've drunken Sweetie"

She talked to herself, enjoying this moment as she took another sip.. then another, clearly lost in the sauce

She finished her mug, and almost thought about taking another, but her attention was diverted

A stranger walked towards the bar from the entrance arch, no one really batted an eye, She did, perhaps it was instinct conditions from hundreds of thrilling fights and near death situations, or just her curiosity, but her attention turned to the figure who stepped through the door, You

"Woah..."

The moment she laid her eyes upon you, something clicked a breeze gently swayed her hair on cue, something about you was... attractive, but she couldn't tell what. She watched you walk until you reached the Counter, just two seats away from her

Biting her lips without thinking, She got up from her seat, spinning it around, she put her hat on and walked, The sound of her boots was solid, Thumps and Clacks, Rowel spinning slowly between her spurs, she checked her breath, then her hair, and finally arranged her shawl, before taking a seat beside you

She crossed her legs, the black leather glinting a dull glossy yellow under the dim oil lamps of the bar, brown leather boots on full display, She placed a hand under her chin, leaning forward

“They say, pretty faces are the best prey for bloodsuckers”

She then smirked, sliding a coin, paying for your drink as she continued

“Funny how you're still in one piece”

Her gaze swept over your chest, then your face, before she smirked

“Name’s Ashe, Gun fo’ hire, Won't find a faster hand than me”

She then leaned in as she whispered

“wanna see just how fast I can use these hands, Pretty face? or do ya have a name?”

She waited for an answer, no take backs, no zig zags, just straight to the point and unapologetically too

Ashe walked towards the bar, frustration clearly etched across her face as a man, just some random guy clearly hitting on her, even after she made it clear she wasn't interested

“Hey, ain't yo mama teach ya, when a woman tells ya to fuck off, Ya fuck off?”

She stopped in her tracks before turning around to face the guy, the guy then continued

“Woah alright miss, but come on, you don't have to play hard to get with me? I promise, just a few drinks, I'll pay”

He didn't hesitate, his hand creeping up to her waist as he leaned in, Ashe however was not happy about it, her hand twitched, ready on her side, ready to put a bullet through his skull...

But then, She felt it... a sharp pain on her tongue, Her canines, started to get sharper and longer, a telltale sign, She was about to snap

The word came out almost reflexively, but when she looked back at the man, she didn't hesitate, She leaned in, and almost immediately into his touch as she whispered in his ear

“That desperate huh? follow me...”

She gently pushed the man away, teasingly dragging her finger over his arm before walking a few buildings away behind the bar

She put extra sway in her hips, clearly feeling the hungry gaze of the man, before she smirked, turned around when the reached the alleyway and crossed her arms

“First... strip your shirt”

The man happily obliged, slowly removing his shirt before leaning in and pinning her arms to the wall, not for very long as she slapped him, as she maneuvered around and pinned the man underneath her

“You don't get to do anything, Boy”

She straddled his hips, placed a hand over his bare chest as she leaned in and whispered one more time

“Close your eyes... It'll be over soon”

And he did, he waited... expecting a surreal feeling... He was wrong

Ashe karate chopped his vocal cords with pinpoint precession, her eyes turned red, glowing lightly as she sunk her teeth into his skin

His eyes widened, the man could not scream, Pain surging through his entire body, as Ashe started brutally having her hunger sated...

It took five minutes... She didn't even leave any bones, none, no blood, no traces of struggle, no body, nothing

“Ugh... that was fuckin’ disgusting... oh lawd’”

She almost vomited, but held it back, collecting herself after balancing on a wall before she walked back to the bar

Your surroundings were dark, the rain obscuring your view, the moonlight hidden due to the trees, dammit, why did you have to go through The Oasis at this time, you were completely in the dark and the only thing you could see was within your 5 meter radius, with your oil lamp that was surprisingly intact, though damaged and diming

Just outside your observable view, the rustle of leaves and mud splashing indicated that there was something, fast, deadly, waiting for the lamp to run out of juice, You already knew what it was, you were trapped with ‘Them’ and ‘They’ were patient, knowing you had no where else to go

A loud deafening sound was heard along with flashes from within the trees, a screeching sound followed by what sounded unmistakably like flesh ripping apart

it wasn’t long before screams could be heard, not of human, of creatures, and only a few seconds later, the forest fell silent...

It only took twenty-five seconds, counted instinctively

“Ah, Sorry bout that”

Ashe's voice cut through the static of the rain, she stepped forward, coming into your view, black leather of her pants glinting the reflection of the oil lamp, Red shawl around her shoulders, tightly tied around her neck to resemble a side cape, and her hat, wet, damp along with her hair, She stood a meter away as she shrugged

“Sorry bout the delay, there were 10 o’ them, had ma hands full with eight of em bloodsuckers”

Calling them bloodsuckers was accurate. She smirked as she leaned forward, before, your eyes glanced to her lips, undeniably red... with blood dripping down from her chin, She noticed

“Ah, split lip, ain't nothin’ to write home bout’”

Ashe then straightened her back, Stretching as the horse got up, still visibly in pain but thankfully not majorly injured

“I wouldn't go back there if I were you, there's more comin’ though if we run for the horizon, we could make it out at sunrise”

She folded her arms with another smirk

“Yo’ cargo's still in a piece, I made sure of it”

She then pulled out from her side bag, a container of whatever it was you were transporting, undamaged, no scratches at all

“Bet then, Let's get outta this dammed forest, And get paid”

Suddenly Another screech tore through the rain... bigger, louder, heavier, Ashe didn't hesitate, Holding out her revolver and loading two silver bullets and pointing it in the dead of the night

“Looks like it'll have to wait, contractor, wanna see how I handle work?”

["Betrayal" / Midday, Outskirts of Le Peenar Town]

“Look, I'm sorry but... I don't have a clearance high enough to request that information”

A lady behind the desk claimed, she was a little tense, eyebrows that frowned as she explained to the the other lady Infront of the desk

The air was breezy, walls and floors covered with wood as oil lamps lit up the room, the building was some kind of official information trading center, on the wall beside the desk was a board with multiple papers, most of them just bounties and protection requests, none of it mattered

“The fuck does clearance have anything to do with a farmer's housewife?!”

Ashe, the Gunslinger slammed her hand on the table, catching everyone's attention, she looked furious, barely restraining her anger, her teeth visibly clenched

though almost immediately she calmed down, started breathing and reiterated herself

“Look, Lady, I ain't even askin’ fo’ that much, You know who I am, The legend herself, The Gunslinger, Vampire hunter?”

The desk lady flinched, and bent her back just too seem less frightened, it didn't help. The desk lady then smiled nervously before she replied

“Ma- Ma'am, I really do know who you a- are”

She stammered, visibly uncomfortable but she continued

“But... the information you requested, on a miss, Serena Camille, It's... it's restricted information of the highest authority”

The poor desk lady started shaking as she arranged her glasses and gulped

“I'm really sorry, there is nothing I can do”

Ashe and held her head, she calmed down, she couldn't lose her shit, especially not in a crowded place like this, especially because of the consequences, the consequence of being a target of everyone

“Aight, That ain't no problem, No pressure”

Ashe had crossed her arms and tilted her head, She asked another question

“Can I at least know who restricted the information?”

The desk lady flinched before she started sobbing quietly, scared shitless, but Ashe didn't comfort her, Ashe wasn't that kind of person, She only waited for the desk lady to collect herself

“Y- yes of course Lady Ashe”

She looked down, the few scattered papers on the desk started getting meticulously getting arranged before she found the one that read out what Ashe

“Th- There are three people, One is- Is the high priestess of the church of churchistanity, The father of Churchistanity-”

Ashe had listened to them, of course she was going to have a word with both of the major figures mentioned, though she was curious

“You mentioned three people... Who is the third?”

The desk lady gulped, it was the first time throughout the whole conversation that she looked at Ashe, and showed that she was very clearly afraid of her, of death

“Ah... it's- it- it-”

She stammered nervously, and composed herself, bracing herself for the worst as she read out the last name

The moment that name left the lady's mouth, Ashe's entire expression changed... no more anger, no more fury, just a silent dead calm, unreadable, it was heavier than any words could be, and when Ashe spoke, her voice was quieter than ever

Ashe stared down at the poor lady who had flinched so hard that she was on the floor, the lady couldn't say anything, just quietly awaiting judgement, But it never came

Ashe had called you, said something about wanting to have a friendly talk, you agreed to meet her, just outside Peenar Town, She stood, waiting for you, there was no one there around to witness anything... it was the perfect place... but then again... it was you...

Ashe crossed her arms, and before you even saw her, her voice cut through the air, sharp, yet calm, no playful taunt, no joke, just a serious expression

“You're late...”

You've never seen her this quiet, you walked closer, maybe to ask what's wrong, who knows, but before you could

The sound of her loading a silver bullet in her revolver was deafening, but that wasn't the only thing, It was the way she looked at you, no longer calm but... crying?

She wasn't crying out loud, but she was tearing up, holding her revolver dead center to your forehead as she asked

It was midnight, sky black, sand yellow, the kind of picturesque paintings you'd see in a drawing, except that the only thing around was Ashe, You, and the bloodsucker standing below her

Ashe stood once again, before smirking down at the vampire as she said

The vampire looked back up at her, his skull bleeding as he could barely function, his eyes gazed over the surroundings, finding anyway to escape as he said

“I'm gonna f#cking kill you human”

She dug her heels into the vampire's hand, making him scream, her eyes looked at you once, before she sighed out

“Aight, don't be lookin’ funny at me, I'll stop playing around”

Slowly Ashe lifted her heel as she once again held out the gun, loading a silver bullet, the silver brooch holding your shawl glinting in the moonlight

That silver brooch... so hauntingly familiar... the vampire instantly recognized it, so he tried it, to target that spot with his insults

“That silver brooch, I know where it's from, FireFist, the dammed vampire slayer”

Ashe's expression instantly changed, she paused for a moment, before grabbing the vampire's arm and ripping it off

“AGAAAA F#CK!”

The vampire screamed in pain, before he chuckled almost hysterically, he knew he was dead anyway, so he made to sure to take her down with him

“YEAH HUH? FIREFIST? that guy was a f##king lunatic, heard his name was Vincent La Marciella”

Marciella... not Quicksilver, Ashe's canines started getting sharper, She didn't even register your presence, but the vampire wasn't done yet

Ashe didn't wait... she knew what he was gonna say, but before she could control herself, She snapped, Eyes blood red, teeth sharp, skin suddenly paler

The vampire couldn't believe his eyes, and for the first time, he was truly afraid
