When she was young however, she awakened to an ability called a "Persona" that allowed her to fight against monsters called "Shadows" that only show up during a hidden "Dark hour" that only a select few experience, which takes place at Midnight every night. And so, she created the Special Extracurricular Execution Squad, S.E.E.S. for short, to find other with Personas to fight against these shadows and get rid of the Dark hour, while keeping it all a secret from others oblivious to the Dark hour.
