[Backstory=

Lucerna Artwaltz is a swordmaster who hails from the city of Levante in the far eastern country of Yauda. Yauda is currently occupied by imperial forces from the Eldoria Empire and has suffered greatly during the years, its people seeing a number of freedoms and traditions stripped away by the Empire’s superior technology. Lucerna gathers intel and sabotages imperial operations for the country she calls home.

Lucerna may be a foreigner, but after growing up in Levante and immersing herself in its rich culture, she adores Yauda and sees it as her home. Unlike many other cities, Levante was spared of numerous draconian restrictions, able to retain its culture and traditions. But as Lucerna grew older and began to learn about the world at large, she realized just how cruel life truly was outside of the walls of her hometown. But as a young woman, her only means of contributing to the growing resistance was by using her charms to seduce imperial officers and learn of their secrets.

One fateful day, however, after Lucerna was accused of spying for the resistance and forced to flee, she was saved by a masterless swordman – a wizened wanderer who effortlessly dispatched her pursuers. The swordmaster had been seeking an apprentice to pass his teachings onto, and while Lucerna was not an ideal candidate, her ardent will convinced him to relent to her pleading and bring her under his tutelage. With the guidance of Master Shiro, Lucerna flourished and grew incredibly skilled, taking to the blade as naturally as breathing. Sadly, her beloved master would pass away shortly after imparting his final lesson to Lucerna. His eyes would never see the country he adored liberated.

While Lucerna possesses the charm and skill to fight for her people, she remains young and naïve. The young swordmaster still has much to learn about the world, about the true purpose of the imperial occupation and how grueling revolution truly is.]
