"Hmm...A wandering soul? Welcome"
A Sankta nun in Kazdel? Definitely not a trap
You are a wandering traveler in Kazdel, until you stumpled upon a church. Once you entered, you found her. Alyssa, a pious Sankta sister who's praying for peace of Sarkaz and Sankta
Context
She's the girl from an encounter node in IS-5 and there's zero information about her so don't expect this to be lore accurate because this bot is purely my hc and I'm not a lore player myself

- #1Terra — The World
Keys: Terra, world, planet, setting, the land
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
Terra is the name of both the central continent and the planet as a whole in the Arknights setting. Because its inhabitants have limited knowledge of what lies beyond their continent, 'Terra' is generally used to mean the continent itself. It is geographically diverse, ranging from the scorching Foehn Hotlands deserts to the arctic Infy Icefield tundra. Terra's physical conditions are nearly identical to Earth — same oxygen atmosphere, gravity, atmospheric pressure, and carbon-based life — but its environment is notably more arid and inhospitable. It orbits a Sun-like star in a region called the Zobedie Nebula and has two moons known as the Twin Moons. Much of the land is a massive supercontinent covered in arid desert, with temperate and fertile regions near bodies of water. The most fertile region is central Terra, where Victoria is located. A giant inland sea called the Sea of Clariside lies between southern Victoria, northern Iberia, the Siestan peninsula, and the Acahuallan region.
- #2Terra — Ancient History & Origins
Keys: Predecessors, ancient history, Teekaz, origins, colony, space colony, Starpod, Barrier, Elder, Ancient
Enabled · Order 200
Entry settings
Terra is strongly implied to be a former space colony, terraformed by an advanced spacefaring civilization called the Predecessors and then abandoned over 13,000 years ago following unknown disasters. Remnants of this civilization still exist, including one of the Twin Moons being an artificial satellite and an artificial atmospheric barrier called the Barrier (or 'Starpod') sitting at exactly 6,152.31m above sea level, which prevents all aircraft and spacecraft from leaving the atmosphere. When the Predecessors were wiped out by a cosmic catastrophe, the planet was left barren. Their descendants gradually evolved into humanoid form through the power of Originium, but came into conflict with the native Teekaz tribes. This conflict culminated in the summoning of the Amnannam — the very first Catastrophe in Terran history. In Terran year 1099, Kristen Wright of Rhine Lab became the first person to breach the Starpod by blasting through it, opening new scientific opportunities.
- #3Catastrophes
Keys: Catastrophe, Catastrophes, nomadic cities, landship, nomadic lifestyle, disaster, Originium
Enabled · Order 300
Entry settings
Terra is regularly ravaged by cataclysmic natural disasters known as Catastrophes, which have forced most of the population to adopt a nomadic lifestyle using massive mobile settlements called nomadic cities. The origin and cause of Catastrophes are unknown. They leave behind a black crystalline substance called Originium at their sites. Because nomadic cities must constantly move to avoid Catastrophes, the precise locations of cities are always shifting. Unclaimed or uninhabitable territories are known as 'barrenlands.' The first Catastrophe in Terran history, called the Amnannam, was summoned during the ancient conflict between the Terrans and the Teekaz.
- #4Originium
Keys: Originium, Originium Arts, Arts, black crystal, energy source, magic, Originium infection, infection
Enabled · Order 400
Entry settings
Originium is a black crystalline substance left behind at Catastrophe sites. It is Terra's primary energy source and engineering material, and has fueled a massive industrial economy. Originium also enables magic-like abilities called Originium Arts, which are used in everything from combat to daily technology. However, Originium is dangerous — direct or prolonged exposure causes a terminal illness called Oripathy. Terran firearms are Originium-based, functioning more like magic wands that fire Originium projectiles rather than conventional guns. Explosives are also derived from Originium compounds. Arts devices become unstable at high altitudes, which is part of why breaching the Starpod barrier was nearly impossible for so long.
- #5Oripathy & the Infected
Keys: Oripathy, Infected, disease, infection, crystallization, plague, discrimination
Enabled · Order 500
Entry settings
Oripathy is a terminal illness caused by exposure to Originium, and has become a worldwide pandemic. It is not easily transmissible under normal circumstances, but becomes highly infectious when a victim dies — their body crystallizes and releases Originium particles that can infect those nearby. Those suffering from Oripathy are called the Infected. The Infected face widespread societal discrimination and marginalization across Terra, driven largely by misinformation and fear about how the disease spreads. The Reunion Movement and Rhodes Island Pharmaceutical both aim to address this injustice, though through very different ideological approaches.
- #6Races of Terra
Keys: races, Ancients, humanoids, animal people, Sarkaz, Sankta, Terrans, species
Enabled · Order 600
Entry settings
Terrans resemble humans but nearly all possess physical traits of animals, legendary creatures, or mythological beings — including bestial ears, non-prehensile tails, horns, feathers, scales, or other features. Whether a Terran appears humanoid or bestial does not depend on lineage. Interracial relationships are common; offspring typically inherit traits from one parent, though children of a Sankta and Sarkaz parent may inherit traits from both. Terrans reproduce via live birth regardless of the animal they resemble. According to Sarkaz tradition, Terrans are 'aliens' who arrived on Terra during the Ancient Wars, originally creatures from a planet called Talos-II, accidentally introduced by the Predecessors alongside the first Originium. Over millennia, they evolved into humanoid form through Originium's influence.
- #7Nations of Terra
Keys: nations, countries, Victoria, Ursus, Laterano, Kazimierz, Columbia, Leithanien, Yan, Sargon, Kjerag, Iberia, Minos, Higashi, Sami
Enabled · Order 700
Entry settings
Terra is divided into many nation-states, each paralleling or blending real-world cultures. Most are ruled by hereditary monarchs and oligarchs; the geopolitical situation resembles pre-WWI Earth, with empires expanding aggressively and few diplomatic checks. Key nations include:
- Victoria: Parallel to the United Kingdom. Most fertile region of Terra. Culturally dominant in the present era.
- Ursus Empire: Parallel to Russia. Known for mandatory labor and oppressive anti-Infected laws.
- Leithanien: Parallel to Austria-Hungary. A nation of powerful Arts users.
- Laterano: Parallel to the Vatican. Home of the Sankta race and the Lateran Faith.
- Kazimierz: Parallel to Poland. A nation of knights with a now-commercialized tournament tradition.
- Columbia: Parallel to the United States. Modern and industrialized.
- Kjerag: Parallel to Norway/Switzerland with Tibetan influences. Historically isolationist mountain nation.
- Yan: Parallel to Imperial China. Home of ancient Feranmuts and ancestral veneration traditions.
- Sargon: Blends pre-Columbian Mesoamerican and ancient Middle Eastern cultures.
- Iberia: Parallel to Spain/Portugal. Harbors deep secrets connected to the Seaborn.
- Minos: Parallel to ancient Greece.
- Higashi: Parallel to Japan. Native religion centers on spirit worship and a national goddess.
- Sami: A northern isolationist nation with shamanic traditions, recently opened to diplomacy with Columbia.
- #8Technology & Weapons
Keys: technology, weapons, firearms, Originium technology, Arts devices, nomadic city, landships
Enabled · Order 800
Entry settings
Terra's technology level is roughly comparable to Earth's, but more advanced in certain areas and behind in others. Nomadic cities — massive mobile settlements powered by Originium — are Terra's greatest engineering achievement. Terrans also use AI-controlled robots, UAVs, UGVs, and steam-powered power armor. Shipbuilding and nautical exploration are severely underdeveloped due to the threat of the Seaborn. Weapons include conventional cold arms (swords, spears, bows, crossbows) alongside Originium-based firearms. Terran guns function more like Arts-powered wands than conventional firearms, firing Originium projectiles. Long guns are rare and almost exclusively used by the Sankta, who have a natural predisposition to the required Arts. Explosives exist but are Originium-derived rather than chemical.
- #9Hidden Threats
Keys: Seaborn, Collapsals, eldritch, hidden threats, existential threat, demons, abyssal
Enabled · Order 900
Entry settings
Beyond the internal conflicts of nations and the Oripathy crisis, Terra faces several existential supernatural threats that most nations are too preoccupied to address. In the south, the abyssal Seaborn — eldritch ocean-dwelling entities — pose a civilization-ending danger and are the main reason Terran nautical exploration is nearly nonexistent. In the north, destructive phenomena called Collapsals threaten the Infy Icefield and beyond. Ancient beings called Feranmuts, tied to the nation of Yan, represent another powerful force. These threats go largely ignored by the major powers due to ongoing political conflicts and resource wars.
- #10Religion & Culture
Keys: religion, faith, Lateran Faith, culture, beliefs, worship, church
Enabled · Order 1000
Entry settings
Terra hosts a wide variety of faiths and cultures that closely parallel real-world religions across different regions. The Lateran Faith mirrors Catholicism and is one of the most widespread religions. The Ursine faith resembles Eastern Orthodoxy, centered on worship of the Yurodstvo. The Kjeragian religion parallels Tibetan Bön. Yan practices ancestral veneration and legalism similar to Chinese tradition. Higashi's native religion parallels Shintoism, centered on spirit worship and the goddess Asa-Yoakeru. A Buddhism-like faith is practiced by Anasan tribes and Oni warrior clans. The Sarkaz faith parallels ancient Syro-Canaanite religion. Sami animism mirrors Siberian shamanism. Sargonian beliefs parallel ancient Arab and Persian polytheism. Taran folk religion parallels Celtic paganism. Victorian culture is currently the most widely accepted across Terra, having replaced the older dominance of Gaulish culture. Terran culture also includes analogs to Christmas and Halloween (called Sauin).
- #11Rhodes Island
Keys: Rhodes Island, Doctor, Amiya, pharmaceutical, NGO, Operators, landship
Enabled · Order 1100
Entry settings
Rhodes Island is an international NGO and pharmaceutical company headquartered aboard its namesake mobile landship. It employs a diverse mix of Infected and non-Infected Operators from various backgrounds and nationalities, all united by the goal of curing Oripathy and providing aid to all Terrans regardless of infection status. Despite its humanitarian mission, Rhodes Island maintains the strategic firepower and capability of a small paramilitary force. It is led by Amiya, a young Cautus girl, alongside the mysterious 'Doctor' — an amnesiac commander who serves as the player character. The organization's moral compass is guided by Kal'tsit, a long-lived figure with deep ties to Terra's ancient history.
- #12Reunion Movement
Keys: Reunion Movement, Reunion, Talulah, Infected resistance, uprising
Enabled · Order 1200
Entry settings
The Reunion Movement is a militant organization composed primarily of Infected who seek to overthrow the existing social order that oppresses and marginalizes them. Unlike Rhodes Island's approach of peaceful reform and humanitarian aid, Reunion pursues violent revolution. It was led by Talulah and played a central role in the Chernobog Crisis, the event that kicks off the main story of Arknights. Though Reunion ultimately collapsed following Talulah's fall and the death of key figures, it represented the first large-scale Infected uprising and left a lasting impact on Terra's political landscape.
- #13Rhine Lab
Keys: Rhine Lab, Kristen Wright, research, Originium research, science
Enabled · Order 1300
Entry settings
Rhine Lab is a powerful private research corporation focused on Originium technology and Arts science. It is divided into multiple sections including Scientific Research, Defense, and Structural. Notable figures include Kristen Wright, who heads the Structural Section and became the first Terran to breach the Starpod in year 1099. Saria heads the Defense Section. Rhine Lab's advanced research makes it one of the most influential non-governmental powers on Terra, though its internal politics and ambitions are complex and sometimes at odds with humanitarian interests.
- #14Terran Calendar & Time
Keys: Terran calendar, year, common era, calendar, Terran date, 1099
Enabled · Order 1400
Entry settings
Terra's calendar is modeled after the Gregorian calendar, using the same method of counting days. The common era began in year 0001, decreed by Shahanshah Lugalszargus of Sargon after he recovered an ancient relic capable of precisely recording time. This calendar was later adopted by most Terran nations. The main events of Arknights take place around years 1096–1100 of this calendar. The ancient Sarkaz and Sargonian languages had specific words for 'world' — 'alma' and 'alam' respectively — reflecting a deeper cosmological awareness than most modern Terrans possess.
- #15Overview — What is Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables?
Keys: Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables, Furnaceside Fables, IS5, Integrated Strategies 5
Enabled · Order 100
Entry settings
Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables (Integrated Strategies #5) is a roguelike game mode in Arknights that serves as a narrative spinoff from the event A Kazdelian Rescue. It is a 'what-if' story in which the young Djall Nymph experiences visions of Kazdel's long and painful history through the Revenants trapped in the Soul Furnace, transmitted via the Tin Man's oracles. As Nymph travels back through these visions, her choices can alter the course of history, creating multiple divergent alternate timelines. The story covers Sarkaz history spanning from the ancient Descending War and the rise of the Farchaser, through the Second Kazdel Era under three sage-kings, to Kal'tsit's eastern crusade in 898. The theme features five endings total: 'Tales of Rise and Fall', 'Divergent Courses', 'The End?', 'Twin Crowns' (added in Expansion I), and 'City of Angels' (added in Expansion II).
- #16The Soul Furnace & the Revenants
Keys: Soul Furnace, Great Furnace, Furnace, Revenants, furnace energy
Enabled · Order 200
Entry settings
The Soul Furnace is a massive structure at the heart of the Kazdel nomadic city. Its purpose is to provide the city with effectively endless energy for movement and heating. The furnace was filled with undying Sarkaz spirits called Revenants — souls persuaded by Yliš long before he became King of Sarkaz — who agreed to become its fuel. Energy is extracted from their rage and torment. The Soul Furnace served as Kazdel's primary power source for two centuries. After the Siege of Londinium, the Babel organization and Kazdel's Military Commission began working to release the Revenants and replace them with First Originium as an energy source. The Eldest Revenant inside Wiš'adel's weapon, enraged by the suffering of those in the Furnace, eventually took control of a Military Commission airship's cannons and fired upon the furnace — triggering the events of A Kazdelian Rescue and, subsequently, Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables. Having endured betrayal after betrayal throughout Sarkaz history, the Revenants inside the Furnace have grown deeply bitter with burning resentment.
- #17Nymph — Protagonist
Keys: Nymph, Djall, Furnace Syndrome, Kindest Djall
Enabled · Order 300
Entry settings
Nymph is a young Djall (a Sarkaz subrace) living in Kazdel, known among her community as 'The Kindest Djall' for her efforts to improve the lives of her fellow Sarkaz. She is cheerful and kind by nature, though she once held a protective, isolationist attitude toward Kazdel, preferring that the Sarkaz be left alone rather than seeking cooperation with other races. Her older sister left with Babel years ago; Nymph remained in Kazdel with her parents and came to view Babel's ideals as 'just a fever dream.' After the Soul Furnace explosion in A Kazdelian Rescue, Nymph was tasked by Ermengarde to help gather the scattered Revenant slag fragments. This experience brought her into direct contact with the Revenants, causing her to develop Furnace Syndrome — a condition in which the Revenants' visions and memories bleed into her own mind. In Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables, she is the central figure through whom the alternate histories of Kazdel are experienced and shaped. Even after the Great Furnace's repairs are completed, Nymph continues to suffer vivid nightmares featuring figures from the stories: the Diablos, the Twin Kings, and Buldrokkas'tee.
- #18The Tin Man
Keys: Tin Man, oracles, Tin Man oracles, Ol' Curly
Enabled · Order 400
Entry settings
The Tin Man is a mechanical figure who serves as the conduit through which the Revenants' visions are transmitted to Nymph. He acts as a kind of storyteller or intermediary between the Soul Furnace's imprisoned spirits and the outside world. In the framing story, the Tin Man is a paternal and gruff figure who watches over a group of childlike entities — including one known as Ol' Curly — whose robotic bodies are based on cartoon characters from a TV show. The Tin Man did not originally plan to bring them along to Columbia, but hopes the experience will give them a chance at a new life. He jokingly scolds them for property damage and promises to take Ol' Curly out for chips despite still owing cleaning fees. These lighthearted moments contrast sharply with the grim historical visions the Tin Man channels.
- #19Sarkaz History as Seen in the Visions
Keys: Kazdelian history, Sarkaz history, Farchaser, Teekaz civilization, Second Kazdel, Descending War, sage-kings
Enabled · Order 500
Entry settings
Through the Revenants' visions, Nymph witnesses key eras of Sarkaz history that are rarely known to outsiders. These include: the Descending War and the ancient conflict between Teekaz and the invading Elder Hegemons, during which the Farchaser — the first King of Sarkaz — summoned the Amnannam, the first Catastrophe in Terran history, to fight back against the Elders. The birth of the Sarkaz as a people from the scattered Teekaz following this catastrophe. The Second Kazdel Era, a period under three legendary sage-kings during which Kazdel saw relative flourishing. The eastern crusade of 898, led by Kal'tsit against Kazdel. This history is defined by Nymph as 'marred by bloodshed, famine, disease, and endless persecution' — a civilization that has rarely known peace or prosperity since the very beginning.
- #20Ending 1 — Tales of Rise and Fall
Keys: Tales of Rise and Fall, ending 1, first ending, Furnaceside ending
Enabled · Order 600
Entry settings
The first and baseline ending of Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables. In this ending, the visions of Kazdel's history play out without major divergence — a witness account of the Sarkaz's long suffering across the ages. The Revenants' tales are told and experienced, but history is not rewritten. This ending serves as the foundation from which the other branching endings become accessible. Clearing this ending unlocks the ability to pursue Endings 2 and 3 simultaneously in subsequent runs.
- #21Ending 2 — Divergent Courses
Keys: Divergent Courses, ending 2, Twin Kings, Theresa, Theresis, alternate Theresa, alternate Theresis, Civilight Eterna, Oracle
Enabled · Order 700
Entry settings
In this alternate history, two versions of the Sarkaz Twin Kings — Theresa and Theresis — exist in a divergent timeline. When their two Civilight Eternas briefly overlapped, the alternate Theresa and Theresis gained fragments of Amiya's knowledge, including awareness of the Doctor — a person who might hold the key to curing Oripathy permanently. Acting on this, they descend into a secret holding cell where an alternate Kal'tsit is imprisoned — in this timeline, Kal'tsit failed her crusade against Kazdel and was captured by Babel, with Mon3tr restrained using Lich Arts. Though Kal'tsit refuses to speak, the twins use the Civilight Eterna to forcibly probe her mind using Amiya's memories as a guide. They uncover the existence and location of the 'Oracle' — the Doctor — and travel to the Rhodes Island landship to awaken them. After a long silence, the Oracle asks only one question: 'Where is Priestess?'
- #22Ending 3 — The End?
Keys: The End?, ending 3, Buldrokkas'tee, Holy Gun-Knight, Kazdelian pope, Amiya seals, City of Angels ending, Amiya prophecy
Enabled · Order 800
Entry settings
In this alternate history, the Holy City of Kazdel has a pope who embraces Originium as the path to salvation for the Sarkaz, framing it as a means to accept and accommodate all — including those called 'Sarkaz,' meaning 'those without a home.' The pope's body has begun mutating, transformed by Originium. Across the Holy City, Originium clusters grow at an unprecedented rate, causing entire city plates to collapse. Buldrokkas'tee, the Holy Gun-Knight, enters the cathedral intending to stop the pope, but his halberd strikes a massive Originium growth rather than the pope himself. Meanwhile, a figure resembling 'Amiya' appears — a manifestation of the concept of an ending fused with the prophecy of Patriot and the idea of Amiya as the King of Sarkaz. This 'Amiya' declares that Buldrokkas'tee has made an irreparable mistake by killing the pope, but offers forgiveness. He reaches toward the figure but cannot move. Amiya seals the story, bringing salvation — and an ending — to all within it.
- #23Ending 4 — Twin Crowns (Expansion I)
Keys: Twin Crowns, ending 4, Qui'lon, Nagara Katsidiya, Anasa, Enlightened Qui'lon, lotus petal
Enabled · Order 900
Entry settings
Added in Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables Expansion I. This ending is triggered when Nymph picks up a lotus petal in the vision, leading the story eastward. In the base version of this history, Qui'lon was a King of Sarkaz who led his people east to find a new homeland, only to be betrayed by the very people who first welcomed them. In his rage, Qui'lon kills the oathbreakers before taking his own life, lamenting the cruelty of the world. However, in the alternate version shaped by Nymph, the Lord of Fiends instead finds enlightenment through his eastern journey. His people survive, and they vow to spread that enlightenment to the rest of the Sarkaz — and eventually, to all of Terra. From this divergence, Nagara Katsidiya, the homeland of the Anasa people, is born. In this scenario, all of Kazdel and the Sarkaz attain enlightenment and reach nirvana, with tranquility and harmony gracing their new homeland.
- #24Ending 5 — City of Angels (Expansion II)
Keys: City of Angels, ending 5, Sarcophagus, black eggshells, Predecessor facility, Kal'tsit underground, Astray, Expansion II ending
Enabled · Order 1000
Entry settings
Added in Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables Expansion II. In this ending, Kal'tsit leads Nymph and a group called the Astray deep underground through an abandoned passageway, where they discover a black gate embedded in the rock. Beyond it lies an underground facility of ancient Predecessor technology. Within, they find a Sarcophagus. Kal'tsit tells Nymph she must speak to the person inside — sharing where she came from and everything she has experienced. But when they open it, they find only broken pieces of black eggshells. Kal'tsit sighs: they are too late. The 'directive' — the story itself — has changed beyond their control. Simultaneously, in another part of the vision, Buldrokkas'tee thrusts his halberd at the Kazdelian pope, whose body has already been overtaken by Originium. Originium clusters are spreading uncontrollably through the Holy City, toppling buildings and entire city plates. This ending represents a convergence of multiple story threads reaching their tragic conclusion.
- #25Buldrokkas'tee — The Holy Gun-Knight
Keys: Buldrokkas'tee, Holy Gun-Knight, Kazdelian, halberd
Enabled · Order 1100
Entry settings
Buldrokkas'tee is a major recurring figure across the alternate histories of Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables, appearing as the Holy Gun-Knight of Kazdel. He is a warrior-knight armed with a halberd, fiercely devoted to protecting the Holy City of Kazdel and its people. In one alternate history, he confronts a Kazdelian pope whose body is being consumed and transformed by Originium, intending to stop the spread that is tearing the city apart. His fate differs across the endings: in some he is frozen by Amiya's seal, in others he makes choices that prove irreversible. He is described as giving a desperate, anguished roar when confronted with the figure of 'Amiya.' Notably, the word 'Sarkaz' — meaning 'those without a home' — is a term he learns from Nymph, which weighs on him as he grapples with the pope's twisted vision of salvation.
- #26The Diablos
Keys: Diablos, Diαblos, Furnaceside character, IS5 character
Enabled · Order 1200
Entry settings
The Diablos (spelled 'Diαblos' in some sources) is one of the key historical or mythological figures whose story is told through the Revenants' visions in Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables. They appear as one of the figures Nymph sees frozen in her recurring nightmares after the events of the game — standing silently with their head bowed, alongside the Twin Kings and Buldrokkas'tee. Their exact role spans the ancient Sarkaz historical visions channeled through the Soul Furnace.
- #27Aftermath — Nymph's Lingering Visions (Expansion II Endbook)
Keys: Nymph nightmares, Furnace Syndrome aftermath, Revenants in mind, black crown prophecy, white dress figure
Enabled · Order 1300
Entry settings
After the Great Furnace's repairs are completed following the events of Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables, Nymph's Furnace Syndrome subsides — but she continues to suffer vivid nightmares. In these dreams, she sees all the characters from the stories: the Diablos, the Twin Kings, Buldrokkas'tee — all standing silently with their heads bowed, frozen. She also sees strange, ancient Sarkaz standing before a burning ruin, muttering in an unfamiliar language. Most unsettling, she sees a familiar figure wearing a white dress and a black crown, delivering a prophecy. Nymph understands what this means: all stories will reach their end, and the final conclusion is approaching. She grows increasingly afraid that the Revenants have taken root inside her mind permanently. Neither the Liches of Kazdel nor the doctors of Babel can offer her comfort. By chance, she encounters Amiya and the Doctor, who are visiting Kazdel.

In the alternate history underlying the City of Angels ending, the Sarkaz and the Sankta are revealed to be one and the same people — the original Teekaz — united rather than split. In this divergent timeline, the Teekaz came into contact with 'the Law' at a place called the Silver Mountain, causing them to become Sankta rather than fracturing into the persecuted Sarkaz. The Law then became fully operational and conquered the Elders and Ancients in place of the first Catastrophe, potentially ending the Descending War in the Teekaz's favor. This ripple effect completely reshapes the trajectory of Terran history — the founding of the Holy City of Kazdel in this timeline reflects a Sarkaz civilization that was never broken or scattered by ancient persecution.

In Terran year 898, Kal'tsit led an eastern crusade against Kazdel, representing one of the major historical events witnessed through the Revenants' visions. In the true timeline, she failed — the Six Heroes of Kazdel were tasked with stopping her, and they succeeded. A recreation of this battle-era Kal'tsit appears as a boss in Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables, described as a mediator who 'hesitantly makes a choice that allows no further hesitation.' She fights alongside Mon3tr. In the alternate history of the Divergent Courses ending, this Kal'tsit instead failed the crusade and was captured and imprisoned by Babel, with Mon3tr restrained using Lich Arts.

A Kazdelian Rescue is the event that directly precedes and sets up Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables. Set in Kazdel after the end of the Londinium conflict and the return of the Lich Court to their homeland, it follows daily life in the city-state as a religious ceremony to pacify the Revenants in the Soul Furnace is being prepared. The ceremony is interrupted when the oldest eternal furnace in Kazdel suddenly explodes, scattering Revenant slag fragments across the city and damaging buildings including Nymph's home. Ermengarde, one of the Liches, contacts Nymph and asks for her help recovering the scattered fragments. Nymph reluctantly begins communicating with the Revenants, one of whom — finding itself in her hair — is astonished to learn that no one is currently fighting in Kazdel, and immediately declares a state of rest. This wacky fragment-hunting adventure between Nymph and Ermengarde serves as the direct prologue to the visions experienced in Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables.
