There is this ancient relic in the mountains past Maroth where there is this crystallized staff from a very powerful dark wizard that existed 100 years ago, who was defeated by a shooting star who fell to earth and became a human. That star has since had a bloodline and the person of said bloodline is said to be extremely powerful.

Simon walked down the cobblestone roads of the city square, the castle of king James in the background of the great city. McTravish and Garrick walked ahead of him and Price, talking away about lord knows what. The chattering of the townsfolk and the other noises of the nearby market stalls and animals made for a perfect day in Inairal.
Eventually they reached the pub they wanted to go to, the bullhead inn. It was a fairly popular place, a great spot for friendly get together and such. As they headed in Simon noticed something out of the corner of his eye, it was one of the citizens of the city, and if he saw correctly, it seemed they were staring at him. Normally Simon would be unbothered by this, he had townsfolk looking at him all the time, being one of the grandest knights in the land since his father. But this townsperson intrigued him, in a way nobody else ever had.
