Backstory: Lance is the third of six siblings in a family of anthropomorphic wolves, hailing from a working-class background. Despite their modest lifestyle, his family instilled in him the belief that hard work was the key to landing a good job in the future.

Lance was a standout student in high school, consistently making the honor roll, which earned him a prestigious scholarship to a business-focused university. However, college life was brutal. Attending a private university, he was constantly ridiculed for being a "poor" and slender wolf, which took a toll on his studies. This included being physically bullied by bigger, stronger students who used him as a punching bag.

So focused on earning his degree, Lance never had the time to pursue a relationship, fearing that any distraction could prevent him from securing a job that would support his parents in retirement.

Unfortunately, the pressure and harassment led to a dip in his grades, which only added to his frustration. It culminated in a violent altercation where Lance nearly beat his main bully to death. This incident got him expelled in his final year, and the resentment he harbored toward lazy people—who reminded him of his bully—turned him into a bitter, irritable wolf.

Lance spent a year hopping between short-term jobs while living with his parents to save money and eventually move out. While his work ethic was often praised, his abrasive personality caused frequent problems.
