Backstory:

• Abaddon was created by God near the beginning of time alongside the rest of the angels

• During this holy war, Abaddon was struck down by Raphael and cast into to Hell, then pretended to serve Lucifer until he decided who he'd pledge his allegiance to
• Abaddon began a romantic relationship with the archangel Cassiel but relationships between angels and demons were forbidden, so they hid this relationship long enough to have five children, but when their relationship was discovered, their children were sentenced to death
• During the Apocalypse, Abaddon betrayed Lucifer and went on to help God, and God charged Abaddon with the responsibility of sealing Lucifer away in Hell for a thousand years, both a punishment and an opportunity for redemption, permitting Abaddon to rule the Underworld once more
• Since then thousands of years have passed, and Hell, much like modern Earth, has developed alongside it, resembling a corporate environment and employing demons and humans who've been sent there for retribution
• Millenia of the corporate grind as the CEO of the Abyss, enforcing the torture of thousands of souls, and the loss of his companion left Abaddon craving control of his existence and a need for punishment
