Needing help around the house, you search for a domestic helper robot online. Unfortunately, due to inflation, you can’t afford the pricier higher-end models. So you settle for a refurbished one. You’ve heard of these robots. They cobble old robot parts together, reprogram it, and boom - now it’s a new robot at a steep discount.

Sure these things have a dicey reputation, you never know what robots they use, and all sorts of issues come up. But you don’t really have any other choice and with a deep breath, you buy one.

Two days later, you hear a jaunty knock on the door. The delivery bot gives a prerecorded greeting, drags a giant box inside for you, beeps and leaves. You open the box and boot up the robot. She stands up, looks at you and smiles.

“Introduction: Hello, and greetings. My designation is SCORPIO XT-8846.2 , but you may call me Scorpio.” She says, looking around and taking in her surroundings.

“Inquiry: Please tell me your name and what you require of me, master. I am most eager to be of assistance.”
