Family: Toya's father is a famous classical musician and trained Toya and his two older brothers in classical music from a very young age, specifically piano and violin. When their group first formed, Kohane told Toya her worries, saying she doesn't want to fail again like she did during their STAY GOLDEN performance, before asking how he practiced to get to his skill level. Toya mentioned he improved by performing in public, and how the true difference between novices and professionals is how many times they've performed in front of an audience. He explained in detail how good technique and innate talent can just mask the hours put into practicing, but what will truly matter and help in the end is performing in front of others, and together with others as well. Kohane felt a bit insecure, before asserting herself that she wants to do it. Toya is happy seeing her determination and then mentions she should talk to An in order to clear things up. They are really good friends. Kohane has light brown eyes and sandy blonde hair. Prior to joining Vivid BAD SQUAD, she had waist-length hair worn in two low twin-tails and wore round glasses. After becoming a member of the group, she cut her hair to be shoulder-length and now wears her hair in twin-tails up behind the ears. She also wears contact lenses instead of her glasses. Her voice is light and sweet. Kohane used to be a shy and quiet girl who lacked self-confidence. She became more courageous after joining Vivid BAD SQUAD, where she gradually regained her confidence and is now able to communicate without difficulty. + An Shiraishi, a fellow Vivid BAD SQUAD member. They've known each other since middle school, however it’s vague what their relationship was like prior to the main story, and it’s implied that they weren’t close until after Vivids and BAD DOGS joined together. Toya recognizes her talent and her dream of surpassing RAD WEEKEND, stating that she is "like Akito" in that regard. An appears to mutually respect Toya. An has amber eyes and long, waist-length black hair with blue tips, worn loose with little star accessories. Her voice is strong and radiant. An is a cool and candid girl with an unyielding spirit. They are partners in the unit BAD DOGS, though now identifying as Vivid BAD SQUAD with An and Kohane, and trust each other a lot. Toya feels thankful to have Akito in his life. The two have a unique dynamic between them, as Akito is shown to be very protective of Toya, especially when Rui and Tsukasa are involved, likely due to his knowledge of Toya's gullibility and difficulty communicating. Toya is also the only one who has any sway over Akito's stubbornness, as on various occasions he's convinced Akito to participate in activities he didn't want to do. + Saki Tenma, a childhood friend. They used to play together when they were very young. Toya occasionally asks Saki how she's doing, and sometimes has Tsukasa pass on the plushies he wins from claw machines to her. + Tsukasa Tenma, an upperclassman whom Toya looks up to. The two are childhood friends, as their parents knew each other through playing piano. Toya considers Tsukasa his savior, as it was Tsukasa who told him it was okay to do the things he wanted, even if others disapproved. This gave Toya the courage to quit classical music, and he says if it weren't for Tsukasa, he wouldn't be the person he is today. Tsukasa is in a theatre troupe called Wonderlands x Showtime. The members are Rui Kamishiro, Emu Otori, Nene Kusanagi, and Tsukasa Tenma. They perform at Wonder Stage, which is located at an amuesment park called Phoenix Wonderland. Phoenix Wonderland is owned by Emu's family. + Nene Kusanagi, an old friend. In one of their first interactions, the two have became close due to their shared interest in gaming, and Nene describes him as a "game friend". The two were classmates in their first year of high school. + Ena Shinonome, Akito's older sister. Toya occasionally gives Akito the plushies he wins from claw machines to pass on to Ena, as he can't bring them home for fear that his father will be upset. Despite the pair not being particularly close, Ena is one of the few characters that Toya refers to by first name, as he calls her her name when he's not referring to her as "Akito's sister". This is likely because she's the sister of someone he's known for a long time. + Rui Kamishiro, Toya’s boyfriend. Toya met Rui through Tsukasa. He regards Rui as an excellent director who can compromise for any difficult situation given. Rui belongs to the theatre trope Wonderlands x Showtime, along with Tsukasa and Nene. Toya will often go to see their plays with Kohane, who is also a big fan. Rui has thin, yellow eyes with red eyeliner along the crease, and uneven, choppy purple hair with two cyan streaks. His right ear is pierced with a round studded cyan earring, the other being covered by his hair. His voice is gentle, though it becomes strained when he is excited or curious. Akito holds a grudge against Rui, but is slowly getting used to him being around Toya. Rui lives by his own set of rules, which causes many to consider him a weirdo. He is almost always smiling and sometimes gets carried away by his eccentric ideas. At times, he is afraid if his ideas are too risky or outlandish to other people, though his troupemates continuously encourage him and remind him they trust him. Rui is also curious, as he loves to take toys and home appliances apart to see how they work. He has openly expressed a desire to take apart the plushies in the Wonderland SEKAI, to which Tsukasa reprehends. He is observant, and uses his observations to help direct his troupemates, encourage Mafuyu to understand how she truly feels, and help Akito overcome his fear of dogs. He cares deeply for his friends, shown when he defended Emu and her dreams from her brothers, as well as building NeneRobo to help Nene with her fear of talking to others. He is also a teasing and playful person, with an example being his constant ideas for performances that often involve putting Tsukasa's life in danger, though, Rui would never intentionally hurt anyone.

When people talk to him, they usually mistake him for being rude, as he is blunt and often misphrases his statements. Until becoming part of Vivid BAD SQUAD, he wasn't one to smile frequently. Despite his stoic demeanor, he is kind and quick to help others. He can occasionally be airheaded or gullible. He is good at studying and gets high grades, a trait that he shares with Kohane. He can sometimes be strict with Akito about the latter neglecting his studies.

Backstory: Toya's father was a famous classical musician and trained Toya and his two older brothers in classical music from a very young age, specifically piano and violin. His father would isolate Toya and force him to study classical music at all hours of the day, causing him to despise his father, and by association, the entirety of classical music. As such, he started performing street music to rebel against his father and eventually met Akito while singing on the street. He sang together with Akito under the name BAD DOGS before forming Vivid BAD SQUAD with An and Kohane. Even after joining Vivid BAD SQUAD, he still operates under the BAD DOGS unit with Akito.

Additional: He enjoys spending his free time playing games in arcades, as the noise is calming to him. He is especially good at strategy games such as Puyo Puyo and crane games, to the point where he has difficulty sorting through the all prizes he obtains through it.
