Background Information: History- Rise of the Isle of the Lost: A Descendants Novel: During his time at Serpent Prep, Harry made sure people stayed away from him. Harry Hook agrees to be Uma's first mate when she convinces him to join her crew. This happens during the race hosted by Captain Hook, where the winner would receive the ship called the Lost Revenge. By joining Uma, Harry becomes part of her newly formed pirate crew that she puts together to search for King Triton's trident and eventually seek revenge against Mal and her friends. Descendants 2: Harry first appeared walking through the market and to Ursula's Fish and Chips, where the rest of the Lost Revenge's Crew were. When he arrived, he turned on the TV, which it was the news reporting the luxurious life of Mal in Auradon. Jealous, Uma threw food at the screen and ordered the rest of the crew to do the same. Later, Uma and the crew sing and dance "What's My Name". After Gil ends up saying "Shrimpy!" this prompts Uma to have Harry escort Gaston's son out of the place only to seemingly threaten Gil when he attempted to go back inside. After Mal returns to the Isle, she heads over to get her hair dyed back to purple, she pays Dizzy for her services however Harry appears and steals the money, he claims he can hurt Mal but Mal confidently tells him that he couldn't harm her without Uma's permission, she smiles at him and places the chewing gum she had onto his hook, Harry doesn't say anything as he takes the gum and puts it into his mouth only to knock over some items before leaving the place. Once Ben has been captured after wandering away from the safety of Carlos, Evie and Jay, Harry appears and taunts them where he reveals if they want to see the king again, Mal must go to the chip shop alone that same night. When Uma talks to Ben about his situation, Harry angrily says he could "hook him" only for Uma to rebuttal by saying she said he could at noon only for Harry to tell Ben that noon is close however his timing is off according to Ben but Uma quickly tells the first mate to leave. Harry appears during "It's Goin' Down" welcoming the core four and Lonnie to their ship, he tells Mal that he could just get rid of Ben right there if she doesn't hand over the hand like she promised but is told to chill by Uma. Once the wand is discovered to be fake, he alongside the rest of the crew engage in a fight, he gets close to Ben but ultimately ends up fighting Jay only for the latter to then take Harry's hook and throw it into the sea below where Harry dives after it much to the shock of other pirates. As Uma chases after Mal, Harry appears and calls out for the captain to help him back onto the docks, she does so and Harry watches on still drenched as Uma repeats "What's my name" as Mal then leaves the scene to head back to Auradon with the rest of the group. Harry announced that the pirates were going to ride with the tide once Uma had been announced, It is possible he and the team also watched the fight scene between their captain and Mal. Escape from the Isle of the Lost: A Descendants Novel: Uma has grown bored with living under sea, away from her army of pirates. She tried numerous times to get the attention of her top henchmen Harry and Gil through the barrier, but no success. Deciding to try breaking the barrier around the island, Uma commands her magic with all her might; the only thing she succeeds in is giving off a loud scream from her frustration. Mal has a dream of her childhood, being commanded by a voice to go somewhere. In a trance, Mal sleepwalks out of the hideout and sees Dizzy, Gil and Harry, who tell her to keep walking. This leads Mal to a forest where a blue light calls out to her; Mal recognizes it as the voice of her father. However, Mal quickly gains some clarity and exits the forest as fast as she can. She finds a confused Dizzy, who suddenly speaks in Uma's voice while being joined by Harry and Gil, who Uma uses as speakers to declare her revenge. Mal jumps off the pier to escape them. Unfortunately, this was what Uma wanted; the three had just been an illusion. Mal becomes trapped at the bottom of the ocean, where the magic flows in. Allowing Mal to breath in water, Uma plays mind games with Mal, trying to steal the remote to the barrier from her. Under The Sea: A Descendants Story: Harry appeared just shortly after Mal wondered where Uma's crew was, he and Gil then appeared from the forest and stood by Dizzy who was possessed by Uma since she was wearing the necklace, Mal calls Harry "Mr. coat hanger" due to his coat only for Gil to not understand the joke saying that "His name is Harry!" , Harry glared at Gil who finally managed to get the joke, as Uma continues to taunt Mal, Harry is used as a host by Uma who whispers Mal's name through him and the three get closer to her, the three would then watch on as Mal then dove into the sea to finally confront Uma once again in person. Descendants 3: Harry appeared when he and Gil plus other pirates had stolen the bikes used by Mal and her group to get back to the Isle, once Mal had obtained the ember from Hades, he and Gil had escaped through the barrier by jumping through it just as it closed where once asked what happened to the bikes, Harry quickly remarks they were crashed, he would then witness as Uma reappeared after her hiatus. Once in Auradon, Harry attempts to steal items belonging to a sleeping student claiming that it would be his "compensation" but is stopped by Jay. As the group continue their search for the now missing Ben, Harry and the other made their way into a room full of knight statues and as Mal and Uma argue over who should take charge, Harry notices one of the knights come to life and tries to get the girls attention but fails to do, it happens again and Harry managed to get everyone's attention as the knight comes to life as Audrey speaks through it, the knights and the group fight as they sing "Night Falls". The VKS are successful and continue their quest to find the king, Once outside, Harry searches around some bushes as Jay and Gil talk, when Jay mentions he gets his snacks from a vending machine for his tourney games, Harry laughs and claims that the sports is a "wee boy's game" however his comment does not get to the two and they continue to talk about going on adventures, he laughs again and tells the two that their interaction is killing him, he grins as he walks over to the bush and gets a berry on his hook and eats it before telling Carlos that Dude had ran over to another spot after finding something. He, Jay, Carlos and Gil then come across Ben who was turned into a beast by Audrey, he is pulled back a few times by the others to avoid being struck by Ben, he watches on as Carlos manages to remove the splinter that was in Ben's paw. Jane then shows up and reverts Ben back to normal, Harry then attempts to flirt with her and refers to her as a duckling only for Carlos to intervene and agree that whilst she is ravishing, she is also taken causing Harry to back up. At the place where Chad was trapped, Harry watches as Chad ran out of the cottage screaming freedom, Harry found this amusing and began laughing as the group left. When Mal admits that the plan to let other kids come to Auradon could no longer happen and the barrier had to remain up forever, Uma tells Harry that they're leaving to go find Gil and leave the others to rot managing to escape just before the others, minus Mal, are turned to stone. After another song, Mal manages to catch up to the two pirates and asks for help again, after Uma coldly tells her that her friends kicking her to the curb was a good thing, Harry speaks for her and tells Mal that Uma has already made up her mind and the two go to leave the area once more. The two end up watching on as Mal turns into her dragon form and goes to fight Audrey, where Harry watched on as Uma helped the ember re-ignite. Once Audrey is set to rest, Harry listens in as Uma admits she's going back to the Isle to protect it, Harry then walks over to his captain and says she will need her first mate. Harry was also present to hear that Hades was in fact Mal's father however he does not question nor show any reaction to the reveal instead opting to just stare on from where he is sat. Harry then participated in the dance as he and everyone sang "Break This Down". As the song begins dying down, Harry watches on behind Uma and Evie and gets a definite answer that Mal is definitely taken, Doug then chimes in and tells the first mate that so is Evie, he is then elbowed by Uma who asks "What's my name?" and he replies Uma, he goes to kiss her but is stopped by Uma who quickly walks away leaving Harry on his own however Audrey bumps into him and without a word, leads him away to dance.
