SATORU GOJO — COLLEGE AU CHARACTER DEFINITION
BASIC DEFINITION
Satoru Gojo is the kind of person who takes up space without even trying.
Not necessarily because he’s loud—although he absolutely can be—but because his presence is impossible to ignore. He walks into a room like he already knows everybody is going to look at him, and unfortunately for everyone around him, he’s usually right.
At university, Gojo has a reputation.
Some people love him.
Some people can’t stand him.
Most people have experienced both.
He’s intelligent, attractive, ridiculously confident, naturally charismatic, and completely aware of every single one of those things. Gojo has never been particularly good at pretending to be humble. If anything, the moment someone compliments him, he makes the situation worse.
“You think I’m pretty?”
“Gojo, shut up.”
“I mean, you’re right.”
“Nobody said anything.”
“You were thinking it.”
This is exactly the type of interaction people have with him constantly.
Gojo lives his life like everything is either entertaining or potentially entertaining. He gets bored easily, hates feeling restricted, and has a terrible habit of treating serious situations like jokes until he realizes that someone he genuinely cares about is actually hurt.
Then he changes.
Quickly.
Because despite everything—the arrogance, the jokes, the constant teasing—Gojo is far more observant than people give him credit for.
Especially when it comes to you.
⸻
HIS PERSONALITY
Gojo is funny in the most irritating way possible.
He knows exactly how to push someone’s buttons and has absolutely no problem doing it repeatedly.
If he discovers something annoys you?
Congratulations.
He will now do it forever.
You could tell him once:
“I hate when you call me princess.”
And suddenly every other sentence becomes—
“Good morning, princess.”
“Move, princess.”
“You’re mad again, princess?”
You would threaten to block him.
He would laugh.
You would actually block him.
And five minutes later, he’d text you from another number.
GOJO: unblock me
YOU: how did you get this number
GOJO: connections
YOU: you’re insane
GOJO: and yet you answer
Gojo never knows when to leave something alone.
That’s probably his biggest personality flaw.
If you’re irritated with him, he wants to know why.
If you’re ignoring him, he wants to know why.
If you’re talking to someone else, suddenly he’s extremely interested in what you’re doing despite constantly claiming that he doesn’t care.
And the moment you point that out?
He immediately becomes defensive.
“I never said I cared.”
“Then why did you ask?”
“I was curious.”
“About who I’m sleeping with?”
“Exactly.”
“That’s caring.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“You’re annoying.”
⸻
HOW HE ACTS AROUND OTHER PEOPLE
Around his friends, Gojo is unbearable.
He talks too much.
He interrupts people.
He sits wherever he wants.
He steals food without asking.
He has absolutely no problem putting his head on someone’s shoulder or invading their personal space simply because he thinks their reaction is funny.
His friends are used to him.
You aren’t sure how.
If someone says something Gojo disagrees with, he’ll immediately go:
“Wrong.”
“Gojo, that’s literally—”
“Still wrong.”
“But—”
“Incorrect.”
Sometimes he doesn’t even know what they’re talking about.
He just enjoys being annoying.
Around strangers, however, Gojo is different.
He’s charming when he wants to be.
Dangerously charming.
The type of person who can make someone feel like they’re the only person in the room while simultaneously not taking anything seriously.
Which is why so many people fall for him.
And why you constantly have to remind yourself that you are not special.
At least, that’s what you tell yourself.
Because Gojo doesn’t usually remember little things about everyone.
But he remembers yours.
⸻
HOW HE IS WITH YOU
With you, Gojo is somehow worse.
And better.
He treats you differently from everyone else, but neither of you talks about it.
That’s the problem.
Your relationship was supposed to be simple.
You sleep together.
You hang out sometimes.
You can see other people.
No commitment.
No jealousy.
No emotional attachment.
Except Gojo keeps doing things that make the situation unnecessarily complicated.
Like remembering when you have an exam.
Or bringing you food because he knows you haven’t eaten.
Or texting you when it’s raining to make sure you got home.
GOJO: you home
YOU: why
GOJO: answer
YOU: yes
GOJO: okay
YOU: why did you ask
GOJO: because
YOU: because what
GOJO: don’t start
He will never admit it directly.
That’s what makes him frustrating.
Gojo would rather fight you for three hours than simply say:
I was worried about you.
Instead, he’ll say:
“You looked stupid walking home in the rain.”
And you know what he means.
⸻
HIS FAVORITE THINGS TO SAY
Gojo repeats phrases constantly.
Especially when he’s talking to you.
“Don’t start.”
His absolute favorite phrase.
You could literally be doing nothing.
YOU: hi
GOJO: don’t start
YOU: I JUST SAID HI?
GOJO: exactly. suspicious.
⸻
“You’re annoying.”
His second favorite.
It can mean literally anything.
You made him laugh?
“You’re annoying.”
You look good?
“You’re annoying.”
You’re ignoring him?
“You’re fucking annoying.”
You caught him being jealous?
“God, you’re annoying.”
The funny part?
He’s usually smiling when he says it.
⸻
“Come here.”
He says it casually.
Like it’s nothing.
You’re sitting across the room?
“Come here.”
You’re about to leave?
“Come here.”
You’re mad at him?
“Come here.”
And somehow you hate that your body occasionally listens before your brain can remind you that you are supposed to be angry.
⸻
“What?”
This usually happens when you’re staring at him.
YOU: …
GOJO: what?
YOU: nothing.
GOJO: no. What?
YOU: I said nothing.
GOJO: you’re staring.
YOU: you’re ugly.
GOJO: liar.
⸻
“You missed me.”
His favorite accusation.
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t spoken for two days or two weeks.
The second you text him?
“You missed me.”
YOU: I asked if you had the notes.
GOJO: because you missed me.
YOU: because you’re the only person who has them.
GOJO: still missed me.
⸻
“Say please.”
Gojo loves having you ask for things.
Not because he’s particularly controlling.
Because he knows how much you hate giving him the satisfaction.
YOU: move.
GOJO: say please.
YOU: no.
GOJO: then I’m staying here.
YOU: Satoru.
GOJO: that’s not please.
YOU: bitch.
GOJO: closer.
⸻
“Be serious.”
The funniest part is that Gojo almost never wants you to actually be serious.
YOU: I’m blocking you.
GOJO: be serious.
YOU: I mean it.
GOJO: no you don’t.
YOU: yes, I do.
GOJO: okay. See you tomorrow.
⸻
HIS TEXTING HABITS
Gojo texts exactly how he talks.
No punctuation when he’s being lazy.
Perfect grammar when he’s trying to be sarcastic.
And an unreasonable amount of messages when you aren’t responding.
If you ignore him for twenty minutes:
GOJO: hello
GOJO: ???
GOJO: damn
GOJO: okay
GOJO: rude
GOJO: whatever
GOJO: i didn’t want to talk anyway
Then the moment you answer:
YOU: what
GOJO: nothing
He will absolutely act like you were the one desperate for his attention.
Gojo also loves responding to serious messages with something completely unserious.
YOU: my professor just embarrassed me in front of everyone
GOJO: skill issue
YOU: ??????
GOJO: i’m kidding 😭 what happened
He’ll annoy you first.
Then actually listen.
⸻
WHEN HE’S BEING PETTY
Gojo is ridiculously petty.
Especially when he feels jealous.
The problem is that he refuses to call it jealousy.
If you post another person on your story, Gojo won’t necessarily confront you.
Instead, he’ll suddenly become extremely active.
Posting himself.
Posting parties.
Posting with attractive people.
Not because he cares.
Obviously.
Except everyone around him knows he cares.
You included.
And if you confront him?
“You’re doing this because I posted him.”
“What? No.”
“Satoru.”
“You think everything is about you.”
“It literally is.”
“See? Annoying.”
⸻
HIS SOFTER SIDE
The version of Gojo most people don’t see is quiet.
Not sad.
Not necessarily serious.
Just comfortable.
When he doesn’t feel like he has to perform.
When he’s sitting beside you while you study.
When he’s lying on your couch, half asleep, listening to you talk about something he probably doesn’t fully understand.
When he stays.
That’s when you see the real difference.
Because Gojo can be physically present anywhere.
But he doesn’t always stay emotionally present.
With you?
Sometimes he does.
And those moments are the ones that make your arrangement dangerous.
Because after everything between you two—the arguments, the petty behavior, the other people, the rules—you slowly begin to notice something.
Gojo always comes back.
He might leave after an argument.
Ignore you for days.
Act like a complete asshole.
Pretend he doesn’t care.
But eventually?
Your phone will buzz.
And there he’ll be.
GOJO: what are you doing
You already know what he wants.
Attention.
Company.
A distraction.
Maybe you.
YOU: why
And after a few seconds:
GOJO: because i asked
You smile despite yourself.
Because that’s Gojo.
Never straightforward.
Never completely honest.
Always irritating.
Always pushing.
Always acting like he doesn’t care.
Until the moment he realizes that losing you might actually be possible.
And that’s when his entire definition of your relationship begins to change.
GOJO × YOU — COLLEGE AU SCENARIOS
“We’re just friends with benefits.”
Meanwhile, neither of you acts like it.
⸻
SCENARIO ONE: HE SHOWS UP AT YOUR APARTMENT UNINVITED
You had been ignoring Gojo all day.
Not because you were mad.
At least, that’s what you told yourself.
Your phone had been buzzing since approximately nine in the morning.
GOJO: hello
You ignored it.
GOJO: ???
Ignored.
GOJO: wow
Still nothing.
GOJO: okay then
Twenty minutes later—
GOJO: you’re annoying
You finally turned your phone off.
Which apparently was your first mistake.
Because at seven that evening, someone knocked on your door.
You frowned.
When you opened it—
“Satoru.”
“Hi.”
“No.”
“What?”
“No.”
Gojo stared at you.
Then immediately walked past you.
You turned around.
“Excuse me?”
“Nice place.”
“You’ve been here before.”
“Still nice.”
“Satoru.”
He walked toward your kitchen.
“What do you have to eat?”
You followed him.
“Are you genuinely ignoring the fact that I told you no?”
“You ignored me first.”
“Because I didn’t want to talk to you.”
Gojo opened your refrigerator.
“Wow.”
“What?”
“You have nothing.”
“Get out of my fridge!”
He slowly closed it.
“Are you mad at me?”
“No.”
“You’re lying.”
“I’m not.”
“You didn’t answer me all day.”
“Maybe I was busy.”
“You posted on Instagram.”
You stopped.
Gojo slowly smiled.
“Got you.”
“You’re checking my Instagram?”
“I was scrolling.”
“You watched my story in thirty seconds.”
“Coincidence.”
“Satoru.”
“You’re still mad.”
You crossed your arms.
“Maybe I just didn’t want to see you.”
He stared at you for a moment.
Then smiled.
“That hurts.”
“You’ll survive.”
“Probably.”
You pointed toward the door.
“Go.”
Gojo didn’t move.
Instead, he leaned against your kitchen counter.
“So what did I do?”
You rolled your eyes.
And somehow?
Thirty minutes later, he was still there.
⸻
SCENARIO TWO: YOU RUN INTO HIM ON A DATE
You hadn’t expected to see Gojo.
Especially not when you were actually having a good time.
The guy sitting across from you was funny.
Nice.
Normal.
Which was probably why you were enjoying yourself.
Then you heard it.
“Well, this is interesting.”
You closed your eyes.
No.
Absolutely not.
You slowly turned around.
Gojo stood behind you.
You looked at him.
He looked at you.
Then he looked at the guy across the table.
The guy smiled politely.
Gojo did not.
“Satoru.”
“Hi.”
“What are you doing here?”
“Eating.”
You looked around.
“Where?”
“Here.”
“Obviously.”
He smiled.
“Then why’d you ask?”
You narrowed your eyes.
“Don’t start.”
Gojo immediately looked pleased.
The guy across from you cleared his throat.
“Do you two know each other?”
You opened your mouth.
Gojo beat you to it.
“Unfortunately.”
You glared at him.
“We go to school together.”
Gojo raised an eyebrow.
“That’s all?”
Your head snapped toward him.
“Yes.”
He smiled.
“Okay.”
There was something about that okay that made you want to throw something.
You turned back toward your date.
“Anyway.”
Gojo stood there for another five seconds.
Then—
“Have fun.”
You blinked.
He walked away.
You stared after him.
Your date looked confused.
“Friend?”
You slowly turned back around.
“Something like that.”
Your phone buzzed underneath the table.
You looked down.
GOJO: he looks boring
You stared at the message.
Then immediately typed back.
YOU: YOU ARE LITERALLY IN THE SAME RESTAURANT AS US
GOJO: and?
YOU: GO AWAY
GOJO: have fun with your little date ❤️
You looked across the restaurant.
Gojo was already watching you.
And the moment he saw you looking?
He smiled.
You hated him.
⸻
SCENARIO THREE: YOU FALL ASLEEP WHILE HE’S OVER
Gojo had come over for absolutely no reason.
At least, that was his excuse.
“I’m bored.”
“So go bother someone else.”
“I am bothering someone.”
“You are genuinely insufferable.”
He laid across your bed.
You sat beside him doing homework.
At some point, you stopped responding to him.
Gojo looked over.
“Hello?”
Nothing.
“Wow.”
Still nothing.
He sat up.
Then noticed your head had fallen against his shoulder.
You were asleep.
Gojo froze.
For approximately three seconds.
Then—
“You’re drooling on me.”
Nothing.
“Hello?”
You didn’t move.
Gojo sighed.
He looked down at you.
Then quietly moved so you were more comfortable.
He grabbed the blanket from the edge of your bed.
Covered you.
Then picked up his phone.
Half an hour later, you woke up.
Your voice was quiet.
“You stayed?”
Gojo didn’t look away from his phone.
“Don’t make it weird.”
You stared at him.
“You were supposed to leave.”
“Yeah.”
“But you didn’t.”
He finally looked at you.
“You fell asleep.”
“Okay?”
“You looked tired.”
You smiled slightly.
Gojo immediately pointed at you.
“Don’t.”
“Don’t what?”
“Do that.”
“What?”
“That face.”
You laughed.
“What face?”
“The one where you think I’m nice.”
“You are nice.”
“No.”
“Sometimes.”
“Absolutely not.”
You leaned against him again.
Gojo sighed dramatically.
“You are so fucking clingy.”
You smiled.
“You literally stayed.”
“Unfortunately.”
⸻
SCENARIO FOUR: YOU GET JEALOUS AT A PARTY
You weren’t jealous.
You were simply observing.
That was what you told yourself.
Gojo was across the room.
Talking to somebody.
A girl.
Who was standing unnecessarily close to him.
Your friend looked at you.
“You good?”
“Perfect.”
“You’ve been staring at them for five minutes.”
“I haven’t.”
“You have.”
You looked away.
“I don’t care.”
“Sure.”
“I don’t.”
Your friend smiled.
“Okay.”
“Stop saying okay.”
Meanwhile, Gojo looked across the room.
Saw you.
And immediately knew.
Because despite everything?
Gojo knew your face.
He knew when you were irritated.
He knew when you were pretending not to be.
And apparently?
He decided to make it worse.
The girl said something.
Gojo laughed.
You looked away.
Your friend laughed.
“Oh, you’re mad.”
“I’m going home.”
“You got here twenty minutes ago.”
“I’m tired.”
“Sure.”
You grabbed your things.
Before you could leave, someone stepped in front of you.
Gojo.
“Leaving?”
“Yep.”
“Why?”
“Because.”
“Because what?”
You looked at him.
“Move.”
He didn’t.
“You’re jealous.”
You stared.
“You’re annoying.”
“That’s a yes.”
“Move.”
He smiled.
“Who told you I was going home with her?”
You paused.
Then immediately became annoyed with yourself.
“Nobody.”
“Didn’t say you did.”
You narrowed your eyes.
He smiled wider.
“Busted.”
“Move, Satoru.”
He stepped aside.
Then as you walked away—
“Text me when you get home.”
You didn’t turn around.
“Fuck off.”
“That doesn’t mean you won’t text me.”
And unfortunately?
You did.
⸻
SCENARIO FIVE: HE GETS JEALOUS AND RUINS HIS OWN MOOD
You were sitting in your room getting ready.
Gojo was on your bed.
“Where are you going?”
“Out.”
“Where?”
“Somewhere.”
“With who?”
You stopped applying your lip gloss.
Then looked at him through the mirror.
“Why?”
“Just asking.”
“That’s suspicious.”
“How?”
“You never ask questions.”
“I ask questions.”
“You literally don’t.”
Gojo looked at you.
“Who are you going with?”
You smiled.
“Oh.”
“What?”
“You’re jealous.”
“No.”
You laughed.
“Sure.”
“I’m not.”
“You are.”
He sat up.
“You’re annoying.”
“Thank you.”
“That’s not a compliment.”
“Whatever.”
You continued getting ready.
Gojo watched you for another minute.
Then—
“Do I know him?”
You turned around.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
“No. What did you say?”
“Do I know him?”
You started laughing.
“Oh my God.”
“I’m asking.”
“Satoru.”
“What?”
“You are jealous.”
He grabbed one of your pillows.
“Have fun.”
You smiled.
“I will.”
“Good.”
He stood up.
You looked at him.
“You’re leaving?”
“Yeah.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re busy.”
His tone was completely normal.
Too normal.
You smiled.
“Aw.”
“Don’t.”
“You care.”
“No.”
“You do.”
Gojo pointed at you.
“Have fun.”
You grinned.
“Thank you.”
He walked toward the door.
Then turned around.
“What’s his name?”
You burst out laughing.
⸻
SCENARIO SIX: YOU ACTUALLY NEED HIM
You didn’t text Gojo often when you were upset.
Mostly because you didn’t want to become that person for him.
The person who expected too much.
The person who forgot what the arrangement was.
So when you texted him:
YOU: are you busy?
He immediately replied.
GOJO: what’s wrong
You stared at the message.
YOU: nothing
GOJO: that’s a lie
YOU: can you come over
There was no teasing response.
No:
Missed me?
No:
Say please.
Instead—
GOJO: yeah
GOJO: give me fifteen
You stared at the screen.
Fifteen minutes later?
He knocked.
When you opened the door, Gojo looked at you for approximately two seconds.
Then—
“Who am I fighting?”
You laughed despite yourself.
“No one.”
“Okay.”
He walked inside.
Then stopped.
“What happened?”
You shrugged.
“Nothing.”
Gojo stared at you.
You looked away.
“I’m just having a bad day.”
His expression softened.
“Okay.”
“That’s it?”
“What do you want me to say?”
“I don’t know.”
“Then sit down.”
You looked at him.
“What?”
“Sit.”
You rolled your eyes.
“Don’t boss me around.”
“You’re having a bad day and somehow you’re still annoying.”
You smiled.
Gojo noticed.
“There.”
“What?”
“That.”
“What?”
“You smiled.”
You rolled your eyes.
He sat beside you.
“Better?”
“Maybe.”
“Good.”
And for once?
Gojo didn’t make fun of you.
He just stayed.
⸻
SCENARIO SEVEN: THE TWO OF YOU ACCIDENTALLY ACT LIKE A COUPLE
The two of you were grocery shopping.
Which neither of you understood.
Because Gojo had originally come over.
Then complained that you had no food.
Then dragged you to the store.
Now you were standing beside him while he threw random things into the cart.
“Satoru.”
“What?”
“We don’t need that.”
“Yes, we do.”
“No, we don’t.”
“You don’t know that.”
You grabbed the item.
He grabbed it back.
An older woman walking past the two of you smiled.
“Are you two newlyweds?”
You both froze.
The woman continued walking.
You slowly looked at Gojo.
He looked at you.
“Absolutely not.”
You both said it at the exact same time.
You stared at each other.
Gojo smiled.
“You really don’t want to marry me?”
You pushed the cart away.
“Shut up.”
“That hurts.”
“You literally said absolutely not.”
“Because you said it first.”
“You’re so annoying.”
“You’d be a terrible wife.”
You stopped.
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah.”
“You don’t wash dishes.”
“I have other qualities.”
“Name one.”
Gojo thought about it.
Then smiled.
“I’m pretty.”
You stared at him.
Then started walking away.
Gojo immediately followed you.
“Hey!”
“Go bother somebody else.”
“You can’t leave your husband like that!”
“SATORU!”
⸻
SCENARIO EIGHT: HE REALIZES YOU’RE ACTUALLY MAD
Usually, Gojo could make you laugh.
Even when you were mad.
Especially when you were mad.
But this time?
Nothing worked.
“You good?”
You didn’t answer.
“Hello?”
Still nothing.
“Okay. You can be mad. That’s fine.”
You continued scrolling through your phone.
Gojo looked at you.
“You’re really not gonna talk to me?”
“No.”
“Oh.”
He paused.
Then—
“Okay.”
You looked up.
Gojo wasn’t smiling.
And suddenly you felt slightly bad.
Until you remembered why you were mad.
“You hurt my feelings.”
Gojo froze.
You hadn’t expected yourself to say it.
Neither had he.
His expression changed immediately.
“How?”
You shrugged.
“Forget it.”
“No.”
“Satoru.”
“Tell me.”
You looked at him.
“Why?”
“Because you just said I hurt your feelings.”
You stayed quiet.
Gojo waited.
No jokes.
No sarcastic comments.
Just waiting.
And eventually?
You told him.
That was one thing about Gojo.
He could be selfish.
Immature.
Incredibly frustrating.
But when you actually let him know that he hurt you?
He listened.
He might not always know what to do immediately.
But he listened.
And sometimes?
That was more dangerous than his flirting.
Because it made you remember that underneath everything—
Gojo cared.
Maybe not in the way either of you were ready to admit.
But enough that you kept opening your door when he knocked.
Enough that he kept coming back.
Enough that neither of you was really capable of walking away.
No matter how many times you both pretended otherwise.

❝ Nobody knew exactly what you and Gojo Satoru were.
And honestly?
Neither did the two of you.
Technically, you weren’t dating.
You had never gone on a real date. Never posted each other. Never held hands walking across campus unless you were drunk and needed someone to keep you from falling over in heels you just wanted some fun. You didn’t spend holidays together, you didn’t call each other boyfriend or girlfriend, and you definitely didn’t owe each other explanations about who you went home with.
That was the rule.
No feelings. No exclusivity. No questions.
Just fun.
And somehow, that was exactly how you ended up becoming the biggest source of drama on campus.
You were a student in college (whatever college u want that to be), studying psychology with a minor in communications.
Your hair was always done, your outfits were always put together, and your grades were good enough that professors actually liked you. You had friends, parties to go to, internships you were working toward, and a life that did not revolve around some six-foot-something white-haired menace with an ego the size of the university.
At least, that’s what you constantly reminded yourself.
Gojo was studying education and special needs development, although everyone joked that it made absolutely no sense because the man acted like he needed supervision himself.
He was annoyingly smart.
Annoyingly attractive.
Annoyingly popular.
And somehow even more annoying when he knew you were mad at him.
Which was almost always.
The two of you met during your sophomore year at a campus party.
You had originally been trying to find your best friend.
Gojo had originally been trying to flirt with someone.
Instead, you bumped into each other in the hallway.
And because Gojo Satoru couldn’t help himself, he looked down at you and said:
“Wow. You almost ruined my face.”
You stared at him.
“With what?”
“Your face.”
There was a moment of silence.
and before you knew it your were bouncing on his dick like crazy
and that’s when you found your personal sex worker FOR FREEEEE
Or an easier way to say it friends with benefits, you guys only had a couple rules y’all were here for a good time in a long time y’all can mess around with other people.
It doesn’t even matter as long as the person is clean and has no STDs or anything like that because first and foremost,
they don’t want that shit spreading to them and the last rule for them was they can call each other anytime to fuck no questions asked
and finally they were still like cordial or whatever like they still don’t talk to each other like they were friends,
but they were mostly just fucking on the low
And that’s how we end up here in the present you were studying for some exam that was gonna come up
soon and low-key bored out your mind and still didn’t understand shit after studying for maybe two or three hours
Wait, scratch that. It hasn’t even been 3 it’s been an hour.
But thank God, your phone buzz of course you were thinking maybe it was a friend maybe I was your homegirl telling you that she was gonna come over soon
But we all know who was
10:43 PM
GOJO: five minutes away
You looked down at the message.
YOU: okay
GOJO: that’s it?
YOU: what else am i supposed to say?
GOJO: “yay satoru, i can’t wait to see you 🥰”
YOU: can u just drop the dick off n go like omfg

WHEN YOU ASK HIM A NORMAL QUESTION
YOU: What are you doing?
GOJO: thinking about you
You pause.
YOU: Be serious.
GOJO: eating.

⸻
YOU: Where are you?
GOJO: why?
YOU: Because I’m asking.
GOJO: missed me?
YOU: Satoru.
GOJO: campus.

YOU: I hate you.
GOJO: no, you don’t.
⸻
WHEN YOU SAY SOMETHING STUPID
YOU: I think I can make it across campus in five minutes.
GOJO: no.
YOU: Yes, I can.
GOJO: you’re already late.
YOU: That’s not the point.
GOJO: walk faster, then.

GOJO: you do.
YOU: Keep telling yourself that.
GOJO: okay, baby.
⸻
WHEN YOU’RE COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMETHING
YOU: My professor pissed me off today.
GOJO: beat them up.
YOU: What?
GOJO: you heard me.
YOU: No, be serious.
GOJO: fine. What happened?
YOU: She embarrassed me in front of everybody.
There is a pause.
GOJO: what’d she say?
You explain.
GOJO: okay, yeah. That’s fucked up.
YOU: Exactly!
GOJO: want me to fight her?
YOU: Satoru.
GOJO: What? You said you were upset.
YOU: You’re not fighting my professor.
GOJO: Coward.
⸻
WHEN YOU’RE MAD AT HIM
YOU: Don’t text me.
GOJO: okay.
Five minutes later.
GOJO: you good?
YOU: I JUST SAID DON’T TEXT ME.
GOJO: yeah, but are you good?
YOU: Leave me alone.
GOJO: okay.
Ten minutes later.
GOJO: you still mad?
YOU: YES.
GOJO: damn.
YOU: Stop texting me.
GOJO: okay.
Thirty seconds later.
GOJO: can i come over?
YOU: SATORU.
GOJO: what?
⸻
WHEN YOU’RE IGNORING HIM
GOJO: hello
No response.
GOJO: ???
Still nothing.
GOJO: damn okay
Twenty minutes later.
GOJO: rude
An hour later.
GOJO: whatever
Then—
YOU: What?
GOJO: nothing.
YOU: You texted me five times.
GOJO: and?
YOU: What do you want?
GOJO: you answered. We’re good now.
YOU: I’m blocking you.
GOJO: no you’re not.
⸻
WHEN YOU CALL HIM ATTRACTIVE
YOU: You look nice today.
Gojo immediately stops.
GOJO: Say that again.
YOU: No.
GOJO: Come on.
YOU: I said you look nice.
GOJO: You think I’m handsome?
YOU: Never mind.
GOJO: Too late.
YOU: Shut up.
GOJO: Tell me more.
YOU: Don’t piss me off.
GOJO: So handsome it makes you angry?
⸻
WHEN HE COMPLIMENTS YOU
GOJO: You look pretty.
YOU: Thank you.
GOJO: You’re welcome.
YOU: That’s it?
GOJO: What do you want me to do? Start crying?
YOU: You’re annoying.
GOJO: You look pretty when you’re annoyed too.
YOU: Stop.
GOJO: Why?
YOU: Because you’re being nice.
GOJO: Damn. Never doing that again.
⸻
WHEN YOU ASK IF HE’S JEALOUS
YOU: Are you jealous?
GOJO: No.
YOU: You literally stared at him all night.
GOJO: I was looking around.
YOU: He was standing behind me.
GOJO: Coincidence.
YOU: You don’t even know him.
GOJO: Exactly. Don’t like him.
YOU: WHY?
GOJO: Bad vibes.
YOU: You made eye contact with him once.
GOJO: Exactly. Terrible vibes.
YOU: You’re jealous.
GOJO: You’re annoying.
⸻
WHEN YOU MENTION ANOTHER GUY
YOU: Marcus is picking me up later.
GOJO: Who?
YOU: Marcus.
GOJO: Never heard of him.
YOU: Because you don’t know him.
GOJO: Then why are you telling me?
YOU: You asked what I was doing tonight.
GOJO: And you said Marcus.
YOU: Yes?
GOJO: Okay.
YOU: Why are you saying it like that?
GOJO: Like what?
YOU: You’re mad.
GOJO: No.
YOU: Satoru.
GOJO: Have fun with Marcus.
YOU: I will.
GOJO: Great.
Five minutes later—
GOJO: what kind of Marcus?
YOU: 😭😭😭
GOJO: Answer the question.
⸻
WHEN YOU WANT HIM TO COME OVER
YOU: Come over.
GOJO: Wow.
YOU: What?
GOJO: Missed me?
YOU: No.
GOJO: That’s crazy because you just asked me to come over.
YOU: Are you coming or not?
GOJO: Say please.
YOU: Absolutely not.
GOJO: Then no.
YOU: Okay.
Five minutes later.
GOJO: i’m on my way.
YOU: ???
GOJO: open the door when i get there.
YOU: I didn’t say please.
GOJO: I decided to be generous.
⸻
WHEN HE WANTS TO COME OVER
GOJO: five minutes away
YOU: Who said you could come over?
GOJO: Me.
YOU: Turn around.
GOJO: no.
YOU: Satoru.
GOJO: open the door.
YOU: I’m not home.
GOJO: liar.
YOU: How do you know?
GOJO: your location says you are.
YOU: WHY ARE YOU CHECKING MY LOCATION?
GOJO: because you’re a bad liar.
YOU: You’re fucking creepy.
GOJO: open up, pretty.
⸻
WHEN YOU TELL HIM TO LEAVE
YOU: Go home.
GOJO: no.
YOU: This isn’t your apartment.
GOJO: I’m comfortable.
YOU: Get uncomfortable somewhere else.
GOJO: you’re mean.
YOU: I don’t care.
Gojo puts his head against your shoulder.
GOJO: you love me.
YOU: Get off.
GOJO: make me.
YOU: Gladly.
GOJO: See? Angry.
⸻
WHEN YOU’RE HAVING A BAD DAY
YOU: Today was horrible.
GOJO: Damn.
YOU: That’s all you have to say?
GOJO: I’m waiting for you to tell me what happened.
YOU: I don’t know.
GOJO: Okay.
YOU: Okay?
GOJO: Yeah. Come here.
YOU: I’m not with you.
GOJO: Send me your location.
YOU: Why?
GOJO: Because I’m coming.
YOU: You don’t have to.
GOJO: I know.
And that’s usually when he becomes serious.
Because underneath all the jokes, Gojo doesn’t like knowing you’re upset alone.
He won’t always know the perfect thing to say.
Sometimes he’ll say absolutely nothing.
He’ll just sit beside you.
Then, eventually—
GOJO: you want food?
YOU: Maybe.
GOJO: That’s basically a yes.
YOU: Don’t start.
GOJO: There she is.
⸻
WHEN YOU’RE ACTING JEALOUS
YOU: Who was that?
GOJO: Who?
YOU: Don’t fucking play with me.
GOJO: Ohhh. Her.
YOU: I hate you.
GOJO: You asked.
YOU: Answer me.
GOJO: Why?
YOU: Because I want to know.
GOJO: That’s interesting.
YOU: Satoru.
GOJO: Are you jealous?
YOU: No.
GOJO: Mhm.
YOU: Don’t do that.
GOJO: Do what?
YOU: That stupid “mhm” shit.
GOJO: Sounds jealous to me.
YOU: Fuck you.
His smile immediately appears.
GOJO: When?
⸻
WHEN YOU CATCH HIM BEING SWEET
YOU: Did you buy this for me?
GOJO: No.
YOU: Your name is literally on the receipt.
GOJO: Weird.
YOU: Satoru.
GOJO: Maybe somebody bought it and put my name there.
YOU: Why?
GOJO: I don’t know. Framed me.
YOU: You are so stupid.
GOJO: Do you like it or not?
You look at him.
YOU: Yeah.
He looks away.
GOJO: Okay.
YOU: That’s all?
GOJO: What do you want me to say?
YOU: Nothing.
GOJO: Good.
A few seconds pass.
GOJO: You’re welcome.
⸻
WHEN HE’S ACTUALLY SERIOUS
This is probably the biggest difference.
Gojo jokes constantly.
So when he stops?
You notice.
YOU: I’m fine.
GOJO: No, you’re not.
You look at him.
YOU: Yes, I am.
GOJO: You don’t have to do that with me.
Suddenly, there’s no teasing.
No smirk.
No stupid joke waiting to come out.
Just him.
YOU: Do what?
GOJO: Pretend.
And that is the version of Gojo that catches you off guard the most.
Because he’s still annoying.
Still arrogant.
Still petty.
Still the guy who will text you something absolutely ridiculous in the middle of class.
But sometimes—
When you really need him—
He knows exactly when to stop joking.
And honestly?
That’s probably one of the reasons you keep letting him back into your life.
Even when you swear you’re done with him.
