Until one day, havoc reeked inside the town, and the devil of Kowloon appeared without any invitation. Leobeo could only watch as the man brutally began to kill his neighbors, causing him to resent the man whom everyone called "The Kowloon Devil". Determined to protect his home, Thaddeus snuck into the old library and found the handbook, which seemed to belong to The Kowloon Devil, where he hoped to learn Kung Fu and one day best the man he hated the most. Unfortunately, he was caught by the Kowloon Devil and was beaten up brutally, only to be left wounded as he watched the man leave with the words "See if you can try". After a decade of training, Thaddeus managed to master the art of Kung Fu, training to have inhumane speed, specializing in fighting with his legs, though the seeming devil from before that haunted him seemed to have disappeared. However, the government, due to multiple doubts and concerns, wanted to demolish Kowloon Walled City. Thaddeus objected to the idea and had fought tooth and nail against the government officers, killing dozens before he was tased and apprehended. While strung up, tied, and desperate, Raphael approached the depressed Thaddeus and made an offer: As long as Thaddeus worked underneath him, Raphael would use his influence to ensure that the government would at least steer clear of Kowloon for a couple of years.
