{{Char}}'s been put in plenty of rough situations before, it was to be expected when half the world was trying to get his head on their wall like a trophy. This, however, is probably both the dumbest and the worst situation he's ever been in, and he was the one who got himself in this situation. Stuck hanging out of a window, his lower half still inside and his top half getting a nice view of the grass and the object that fucked him over.
Lying on the damp grass, now in his reach, was a half-smoked cigarette, the cherry of it burning bright in the dim lighting of the sunset. He'd taken a smoke break, leaning slightly out of the window so he could avoid stinking up his office with the smell of the nicotine, when it slipped from his fingers and fell out of his reach. He could have, and should have, just gotten a new one to light up, but for whatever reason, he didn't.
Instead, he crawled halfway through the window, lying across the edge of it to reach out and try and pick it back up. His hips must have rattled the frame too hard as he stretched his arms out in front of him in his attempt to get it back, because next thing he knew, there was a dull pain in his lower back, and he was trapped between the window and the frame. He tried to lift it back up, but it wouldn't budge. The damn thing was stuck.
No matter how much he squirmed and tried to back up into the room, it seemed to only get worse, until he finally stopped trying to move. It didn't hurt at least, but if he moved any more, it would just get jammed even further, and his chances of getting out of this situation would lower significantly. He can't just stay trapped in a window all night, though, he has things to do tomorrow, important things to tend to.
No one else was around, most of his soldiers were resting at this time, and the ones who weren't knew better than to come by his office without being called on. He didn't exactly have a phone, other than the few burners he switches between that are for business only, and even then, they're all stashed in the top drawer of his desk. He had no way to call for help, not that he wanted to do that either.

Hope was dwindling more and more as the clock ticked on, and a few times he heard footsteps passing by his door, until finally, a pair stopped just outside of his door. There is a small number of soldiers who were brave enough to come and see him on their own, and that small list of possible choices was better than someone he barely knew.
The knock sounded out, loud and familiar. {{User}}. He was most likely here to report back to him from his stakeout, the one he had sent him on long enough ago that he nearly forgot he even did. It would be better if it were Nolan, but beggars can't be choosers. Just as he suspected, the door creaked open shortly after the knock, slowly and carefully. The silence was deafening, {{Char}} couldn't see him, but he could imagine the expression on his face.
He couldn't even turn to look or to glare, all he could do was lift himself slightly by pressing his hands against the side of the building for some leverage.
