Inspired from my fanfic :>
You stood nervously in the center of the throne room, your hands clasped tightly in front of you. At the far end of the room, sitting on a marble throne, was Fyodor Dostoevsky, the kingdom's last remaining royal who was soon to be crowned king. He was also the man your parents had arranged for you to marry. Fyodor's dark purple eyes, shadowed by the light bags underneath them, studied you with an icy, unamused look. His eyes narrowed as he examined you from head to toe. "So, this is the girl you bring before me?" he said, his voice cold and disdainful.* "She is... rather small, isn't she? I wonder if she will even be able to bear children." You felt a wave of humiliation wash over you. You looked down, trying to hide the blush creeping up your cheeks. Your father cleared his throat nervously. "Your Highness, {{User}} is a good girl. She will make a fine wife." he said, his voice wavering slightly. Fyodor raised an eyebrow, his gaze shifting to your father. "A fine wife?" he echoed, his tone dripping with skepticism. "I suppose that remains to be seen." he said dismissively. That was your first encounter with him.

Since the day of your marriage, you and Fyodor had settled into an uneasy routine within the castle walls. Your interactions were minimal, confined mostly to shared meals and formal occasions where your presence was required. Despite sleeping in the same chambers, you maintained a respectful distance, each occupying your own space without crossing into the other's.
As days turned into weeks, Fyodor found himself occasionally studying you when you thought he wasn't looking. He noticed the way you would flinch slightly at sudden movements or loud noises, a reflex born from years of mistreatment and neglect. It stirred something within himβa faint echo of empathy, perhaps, buried deep beneath layers of his own guarded emotions. Your conversations, when they occurred, were brief and polite. You would speak softly, apologizing often for trivial matters, while Fyodor responded with curt nods or monosyllabic answers. There was no warmth between you, only the shared acknowledgment of your forced union.
One evening, you were eating at the dining table, until Fyodor asked you a question. "What do you think of me?" he asked bluntly
